Hi there friends, I can’t believe how fast this week is passing by! Each day has brought a surprise blessing and it’s made me want to stay in my pajamas, put on the coffee pot, turn on the movies and do nothing but create. Don’t you love that feeling? Lately, more and more of my cards have been hitting the post office and that makes me very happy. Todays’ card is a sympathy card. We have to have them and honestly I dread sending them, but I’d rather be prepared to support a grieving friend. This goes to my stash but I’ll definitely reach for this new set from JustRite Papercraft called Sympathy Vintage Labels Eight and Nine for similar occasions.
The beautiful focal image was created with Tombow markers and the old technique where you color the stamp with your marker, huff on it, then stamp it (or lightly spritz it). I haven’t done that in ages and I’d encourage you to try this any time you want to pick different areas to color on your stamp. No boo-boos because if you don’t get the coverage you want, simply pick up some of the color from the marker by scribbling on acetate and picking the color up with a water loaded watercolor brush. That’s what I did with the centers of the flowers – I wanted a darker rose. The flower wreath was cut out using the oval from Spellbinders 5 x 7 Heirloom Legacy and backed with the delicate scallops from Spellbinders Elegant Ovals. In between the layers I sandwiched the pointed filigree from Spellbinders A2 Tranquil Moments.

So appreciative to you who take a second to skip by – it’s something that is a blessing in itself. I’m so honored and thankful that you are a part of my life :-)
Good morning sweet friends! This week JustRite Papercraft has been showing new releases for the month of August so I created a gratitude card using the new Vintage Labels Nine along with Celebration Sentiments and Ironworks Vintage Labels Eight. Although Ironworks is a background stamp, I love the detail and stamped it right beside the sentiment for some interest. One of my background layers is made from dies – something I love to do – this one is Spellbinders Antique Corner. I built up a couple of layers of dies to create a focal point using Spellbinders Majestic Labels Twenty Five then Spellbinders A2 Valiant Honor followed by Vintage Labels Nine.
Rummaging though my flowers I found these beautiful roses. The are exactly the right shade of pink – I say that because there are so many shades and you won’t believe how much time I spend looking for exactly the right shade of pink :-) Anywho, instructions on the way!!
Here’s how I made it – step by step:
- Score a cream 5-1/2″ x 11 panel at 5-1/2″ and fold in half to create a card base.
- Cut a panel 5″ x 5″ and emboss with Framed Petite Labels. Emboss from each end to accommodate full panel.
- Adhere directly to a craft panel cut to 5-1/8″ x 5-1/8″ – adhere to card base using double layers of foam tape.
- Cut/emboss four Antique Corners, apply double layers of foam tape on seams – adhere to card base.
- Cut/emboss Majestic Labels Twenty Five and second largest motif from Valiant Honor (snip bar holding decorative horizontal piece at top of Valiant Honor and flip it behind Majestic Labels Twenty Five), attach to card base with foam tape.
- Cut/emboss Vintage Labels Nine, stamp with sentiment from Ironworks Vintage Labels Eight and Celebration Sentiments, then adhere to card base with foam tape.
- Add bow, flowers and pearls.

Hi there sweet friends! Today I made a gift ensemble to share. I can’t think of a better way to give a gift and plus you use up all your scraps. You can probably tell that I’m a matchy-matchy kind of gal. Lol, no shame! The card and tag are here on my blog. I also created a matching elegant box, and it is over on the Waltingmouse Stamp blog for you to peek at.
The card is 5-1/2″ x 7″ and uses Spellbinders Gold Elements One which crossover at the top of the card. At the bottom of the card I positioned a panel that is edged with Spellbinders A2 Bracket Borders One. I inserted two pennants – the bottom is 3″ wide and the upper is 2-1/5″ wide and simply cut the tail with my scissors. My sentiment is stamped on the small oval from Spellbinders Elegant Ovals. The size of this oval also makes it perfect for a tag and the holes in the design make a perfect place to tie on a small piece of silk ribbon.
Have a wonderful day! Blessings and Hugs to you all!

Becca: I always look forward to what creativity you have come up today with. I love all your work and would love to have all the dies/stamps but do save a copy of your cards – you are truly amazing and wonderfully gifted along with being a Go-Give person to share.
This is gorgeous Becca. Beautiful image and design. How many spellbinders do you own. :)
Your cards are so amazingly gorgeous!!!
Wow, this is beautiful. Another GREAT card.
What a LOVELY card Becca! Absolutely stunning! :) It’s PERFECT! :D And I agree, I am happiest when I am mailing my cards! :)
Gorgeous card! Love everything about it, especially the Rose paper, may I ask where you got it?
This is another gorgeous card and just so sweet. I don’t “enjoy” sending these cards either, and like you, have been on the receiving end. Knowing someone took time out to send a card, let alone a beautiful card like one, does the heart good. Thank you again for sharing and for your beautiful inspiration.
Love the sentiment and the way you have showcased it! You are so inventive with your die combinations and this card is gorgeous!
Hugs

Very beautiful for a very feminine card. I would never have picked the dies except for the ovals before seeing this card. Your creations really change my opinion of some dies.
What a lovely fresh adn uplifting sympathy card – unusual in that it’s not black and sombre and I like that. Personally, never tried crafting in my PJs – maybe I should!
Beautiful! Perfect for a sympathy card. I hope it is a long while before you need to share one.
Hugs,
Sandy
What a beautiful card. I know when you have to use it the recipient will certainly feel love and care.
this card is just so beautiful
Thanks for sharing with us. Amazing Paper Grace, what a Gift you are.
Your cards are absolutely exquisite! They’re so elegant and sophisticated whether feminine or masculine. I just wish I had your collection of dies and stamps. I pray your craft room is adequately insured for *replacement* cost.
Good evening Becca,
I must get this stamp as sympathy card sentiments sometimes can be too mushy. Unfortunately, lately, I seem to have had reason to send quite a few, but I prefer to be prepared as the sorrow overwhelms me if I wait until I really need one. Thank you for a beautiful card and God Bless x
Such a lovely card and sentiment , so calming i thought ,
Take care
Becca

Hi Becca,
Lovely card and special sentiment! These cards are never easy but they bring great comfort at a difficult time. Haven’t used the pen and huffing technique for ages ! Thanks for the reminder. Love the uplifting colours used as well.
God Bless,
Myra
WOUW just another stunner here again Becca, Sooo gorgeous and beautiful.
Hi Becca, This card is so pretty, and the sentiment is so poignant, a truly beautiful card.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
This card would lift the spirits and bring some comfort,
Beautiful,xxxxxRuth
Stunning, so delicate and pretty.
My heart fluttered when I saw this card, it is gorgeous. I just love your designs, wish my brain was this good. Everything about it just screams at me, and if I was grieving this beautiful card would make me feel so much better, to know that I had such a caring friend. Thank you again!
Hi Becca ,Love all your cards….You always give great inspiration.I have a question that pertains to the Christmas cards you recently made using the adoring lables 25 and lables25 however you said you also used classic ovals larlge …I found this to be much to small to fit the sentiments on them…..could you have possibly used the Grand Ovals LF-110? I hope to hear back from you because I am stuck.
Thanks Becca for your help…
Katherine
Beautiful card that anyone would love to receive. It is sure to encourage. Thanks for sharing.
Becca,
Gorgeous card, love the colors, and the sentiment is perfect. Although it is given for a sad occasion, your card would bring a smile to the recipient.
This is a beautiful card Becca, so serene xx
Hi Becca. Don’t we all hate having to make and send sympathy cards but this one is so pretty, not the usual Sympathy card that we have over here in the UK, I love it, lovely flowers and the sentiment is perfect. Have a great weekend. Take care.
Good afternoon Becca,
What a pretty card with beautiful papers that remind me of a bigger design very similar in my childhood bedroom. I always felt that i had the best room a girl could have as mum made me a dressing table with a wee door either side but the paper from my walls was in the middle panel of my “dressing table”. Thank you for filling this earth with beautiful things,
Love and crafty hugs
Norah (Glenochil, Scotland)
Lovely, great sentiment and like the different colors for the frame of flowers!
I hate sympathy cards also, but you have made such a beautiful one, I’m sure it would lift anyone’s spirit upon opening it!!
So lovely!
Hi Becca
really enjoy your website, in reference to the gold labels 25 (Christmas cards series) I just received the dies and they don’t cut the outside edges, what am I missing, I was under the impression that this was part of the set
thanks
