Magnolia Accordian Mini File

Today I’m sharing a sweet project that Diana with Magnolia-licous picked as the DT Sketch project for September; it’s an accordian mini file – easy, easy, easy!   Stamper extraordinaire, Valerie Stangle, put the step by step directions together for us and you can see them HERE.  The cool news is that you can make your own and upload it to the Magnolia HighLites Blog by September 30th for the chance to win a $25 Gift Certificate to Magnolia-licious.
For mine I followed the directions to a "t".  Because I’m sending off some stamped up images for coloring, I used vellum business sized envelopes that were cut down to the size specified in the directions.  Ooooh I like the see throughiness :)  I then cut the tops with a Fiskars scallop punch and added tabs with a tab punch.

I used  #287 Tilda Picking Lilacs for the front of my accordian file and for my card.  What a cutie pie.  She can be purchased on the Magnolia-licous site and the thing that I’ve found about these sweet urchins is that you cannot stop with just one.  Diana has just restocked the store so you have plenty to choose from.

I stamped and mounted my cut out Tilda on an oval cut with Spellbinders Classic Ovals Large which I in turn mounted on Spellbinders Labels Five and used the same medallion for my card.

Project Recipe:
Stamps:  Magnolia – #287 Tilda Picking Lilacs

Paper:  Bazzill, DCWV – Rustic
Ink:  Memento – Black Tuxedo
Accessories:  Spellbinders Classic Ovals Large, Spellbinders Labels Five, Ribbon, Copic Markers, Flower petals and bling.

Thanks for stopping by!  Remember, you can still leave a comment for my blog candy HERE.

Just absolutely beautiful Becca. Your “Magnolia Accordion Mini File” would make a nice birthday card for a teenage girl with tid bits of her life from birth thru her current year in each pocket – her first picture, the birth anouncement, hair from her first hair cut, the first tooth she lost and some of those crazy tokens she felt were so very important to be saved while growing up.

What wonderful ideas you come up with Becca. Thanks for sharing them with the public and especially those of us who do not have an imagination like yours.

    Thanks.ReplyCancel
