So now, here’s some fabulous news . . . Our Daily Bread designs is so proud and pleased to be chosen by the Spellbinders company as a Preferred Stamp Partner. Our partnership with Spellbinders will be a blessing to the stamping community as well, as we expand our line to include perfect-matched sentiments, scriptures and images to Spellbinders products. We look forward to a long and blessed partnership with such a fine product as Spellbinders. It’s no doubt that as you travel the hop today you will see what wonderful creations the design team have made as well as the wonderful influence that Spellbinders dies have on their creations. This months release features a matching stamp set designed to fit perfectly within Spellbinders Heritage Ornament – please pop over and see the stamp set HERE.
For my card today I went with my comfort colors – you know, like comfort food? For me, shimmery gold, iridescent white and creamy pearls fit the bill :-) I’m working with the stamps made to match the Spellbinders Heritage Ornament but I wanted to see what I could do to make the stamp stretch for uses other than the ornament. As luck would have it, it fits very nicely in Spellbinders Classic Ovals LG and SM.
While I’m at it, in my email I get a question several times a week and especially if I’ve made a card with a bow. First of all people ask if I send out my cards. Well that’s a big yes!! As enjoyable as they are to make I love the people to have them. So then the next question I get is "how"? Many times I put them in a package and they don’t need an envelope. Other times I make an envelope because I make odd sized cards and sometimes large cards. This is a large card – it measures 5.5" x 8.5". It perfectly matches an A9 envelope which is made from a 12" x 12" sheet of paper (most of the scoreboards on the market have instructions for making envelopes) and measures 6" x 9 1/4". You can see below that I simply flatten the ribbon a little bit and slide it in my envie.
When the recipient gets it, if they like they can plump the ribbon. Men probably would not do that, but I don’t normally send this fru-fru type of card to a man :-) As you can see below the envelope is kind of plump, but they make it through the mail just fine.
Card and Envelope Recipe: Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs – Ornaments Paper: K&Company, Gold Foil, White Cardstock (Xpedx) Ink: Versamark and Gold Embossing Powder Accessories: Spellbinders Classic Ovals LG, Spellbinders Classic Ovals SM, Spellbinders Lacey Circles, Spellbinders Ribbon Tags Trio Two (trimmed off ends), pearls, ribbon, Tattered Angels – Pearlescent |

WOW!! This is fabulously stunning, the gold gives this so much elegance and love the envelope.
Oh Becca, your card is totally gorgeous, and to top it off, a beautifully matching envelope. I love how you added the gold elements too, which to me means Christmas.
Becca, this is gorgeous! I would be so honored to have one of your cards! How do you make the double loop bow? Praise the Lord for giving so many people the gift of making beautiful things out of paper with their hands!
I hope you’re doing ok. I’m praying for you and your family!
I just wanted to share that my husband was going to go to Honduras in February on a mission trip with our church, but was not going to be able to as of yesterday. Our daughter’s “x” is fighting her every step of the way in her divorce, and the attorney’s fees keep going up. My hubby got an email last night from our pastor about a donor who pays for one person to go on the trip in full as a “scholarship”. He offered it to Mike, and Mike humbly accepted! God is so good!
Hugs and love,
Clare
GOLD is one of my comfort colors too, Becca!!!! This is GORGEOUS!!!! Elegant & Christmassy!!!! :)
I LOVE your colors – beautiful design!
It just keeps getting better. I’m so glad all of you have been obedient to God with the talent he has given you. You all are truly a blessing to us.
These definitely are your signature colors, Becca! And I love them. So beautiful for Christmas, too. Thanks for continuing to process your grief by blessing others. You’re an inspiration in more ways than one!
Thanks, Becca, for including how you send the cards with bows. :) Your card is so beautiful. Keep up the great work.
Becca, this card is stunning as is all of your projects. Where do you get these ideas! May God bless you during the Christmas season!
SO beautiful! Love the gold!!!
This card just sings “peace and love.” What a wonderful way to wish someone a happy Christmas.
Becca, Becca, Becca – you’ve done it again. What a Beautiful card. And guess what – from a spellbinders hop I won the Ornament die when it was introduced – now I just went to ODB and ordered the stamp. I’m almost in heaven. I hope I receive the stamp in time to make a couple of cards for Christmas. As always lifting you up my blog friend. May you find the peace that passeth all this Christmas
Very elegant, its a perfect word to describe your card, gold and pearls. hop…. hop…..
As usual, Becca, your card is absolutely beautiful! You always come up with something rare and wonderful.
Absolutely magnificant. That’s all that needs to be said. Thanks for sharing.
Pure elegance and I too LOVE gold/white for a card as it’s purely gorgeous!!! Also so exciting that Spellbinders & ODBD are now partnered! TFS your talents with us, Becca.
My greatest Christmas Memory is the first Christmas without my Mother. I was only 6 years old. With Mom dying in November and Christmas being the next month, sure we were sad, but my Dad, being the father that he was, did all he could do to make sure his 4 girls were happy. We didn’t have a lot of money, but that’s not what Christmas is all about. All we wanted for Christmas was the doll house fully furnished, that we saw in the Sears ONLY the doll house and we had to share it, but we all to this day remember how special that Christmas was.
Your work is always beautiful, and I wish I could tie bows like you do :)
This card definite meets the WOW factor for me. Love gold of any kind. Thanks so much for your recommendations on the envelope. I struggle to fit my 3D cards in envelopes, but have found that Archiver’s does have a dies for 3 different size of envelopes that have depth, so a layered card fits nicely. I am loving this inspirational blog hop, so many wonderful designs and creativity.
Everything you do is gorgeous!! Have a blessed Christmas Becca. My favorite Christmas Memory is coming home to Tennessee from Chicago to spend Christmas at my Granny’s house. It was always full of love, laughter and wonderful smells coming from the kitchen. They’re all in heaven now. But we know we’ll be with them alot longer than we’ll be without them, don’t we Becca. Your family is in my prayers.
This is my first journey through the blog hop road. WOW! All of you are so talented and to share with those of us who aren’t, THANKS.
Wonderful layout with the bright gold stamped images. Even an envelope to send it in too.
Becca what a gorgeous card and envelope. Another stunning card. Thanks for sharing
Beautiful. I love the use of just the gold with the white, so restful. Anyone would be please to get such a stunning card. Christmas blessings, Jackie
This is just so elegant!! tfs
What a gorgeous card…so much to look at! One of my favorite Christmas memories is one year when we left the retirement home where my husband’s mother lived, we decided to do a little driving around to look at lights. There were several ‘themed’ streets and entire neighborhoods nearby. We turned onto Christmas Tree lane and from the back seat I heard a gasp and the hushed, wonder filled voice of my 4 year old daughter say “It’s Christmas land!”. Still gives me chills, the memory of the awe and wonder in her voice.
Every time I see your new cards, I say ohhh this is my favorite! Your talent is endless and such a joy to look at how you express it. Blessings to you~
Hello Becca: This is a cool idea using the stamps for that which the average person such as myself would not think off! The mailing information is also helpful. Thank you for sharing. Marie

Again and again you amaze us with your beautiful work. Another stunning card! Thank you for inspiring us Becca.
Your creation is stunning, as usual! I think I love your “comfort” cards the best…gold, white, cream, pearls…yummy. My favorite Christmas memory is opening up gifts late Christmas Eve and then jumping into the car Christmas morning for the long trip to Grandma’s house…loved her to pieces and those are precious memories.
Beautiful as usual …
Sandra

Why am I always amazed at your beautiful cards? You always seem to out do the last card you made with your new one. I am in awe and love this card. Wow….can I scrap lift this?
Wow! Spectacular! I’m speechless.
Becca. Thank you for another beautiful card. I have a question please. Because of you (LOL) I am the proud owner for many new Spellbinder sets! I use my Cuttlebug to cut them out, but I do a poor job with embossing them. I cannot get mine to emboss. I use the Cuttlebug, a die, and the Spellbind embossing matt, just one. Two won’t run thru my CB. All I get is a very light image of it being embossed. I would love a heavy, deep embossed edge and I have no clue on how to get it. Can you please advise? Thanks much! Have a great week! Cheryl
Becca, you are so creative. I don’t know how you keep coming up with all the new ideas. Your card is beautiful and another lovely bow. Thanks for sharing. Hugs x ChrisB

my favorate mem. about christmas is when my husband video “Santa” putting the presents under the tree, all you could see when you played it was white gloves moving the presents into place. that was 20 years ago and the kids still love watching it and they still ask how we did it .Santa never tells.
( sorry it sent befor I wanted it to.) Love your card always

As if the card didn’t wow me away, I checked out that bling that the card is resting on!! Love the metalic gold on the card. Just elegance at the highest.
Beautiful designs.
My favourite Christmas memory …difficult question as many to choose from. One favourite, my Dad set up the card table in front of our beautifully decorated Christmas tree, and we had homemade meat pie followed by Christmas pudding or cookies (cookies were my choice as I don’t like pudding). After, we would head off to church for the service where many Christmas hymns were sung — my favourite, Silent Night.
Beautiful! Thanks so much for sharing it with us.
Your card and even the envelope are amazing! I love the color of the ribbon you chose!

I love the gold mirror cardstock you used! You always work your magic on the Spellbinders!
oops, forgot to leave my Christmas memory. one of my favorites was the winter of 1966 we were moving (again) from florida to california, my dad was in the navy. we spent Christmas with my greatgrandparents up in the foothills of the appalachians in northwest georgia. my sisters and i were so down in the dumps because they didn’t have a Christmas tree, so grandpa grabbed his axe and we all went tramping thru the snow to the back forty and cut our own tree. up until that time i thought all Christmas trees were purchased at a tree lot.
Becca, you are truly amazing! You always make the most beautiful cards. I really envy your talent. You are definitely an inspiration to me. Thanks for sharing your mailing info. I always worry about smashing my hard work. I have been charged extra for a card that was not flat. Again you are so talented and your cards are beautiful. I love to visit you everyday to see how you have out-done yourself. God bless you and your family.
Awesome card, Becca! I love white with gold or silver. That bow is just great, just gotta try that soon! I love the envelope. I must confess I don’t usually think to make unusually sized cards or make my envelopes, but now I realize just how I’ve limited myself, but no more! Thank you for your truly amazing spirit and the inspiration you give to others.
Love this card.
Absolutely stunning!! Your card is fabulous and so is the envelope!!

Very very lovely and elegant. I should make larger cards more often. I make them for the shut-in members of our church so the whole congregation can sign them, but that’s about the only time.
Once again Becca, lovely!!! It is such a pleasure visiting your blog. Thank you for always WOWing me!!!
Becca, so elegant. Great tips on the envelope and mailing this card. Great incorporation of the oval frames and bow. Just lovely. Thanks for sharing.

Becca, you never disappoint!! What a beautiful card. I, too, like gold and white. I have found that the post office requires additional postage to hand stamp bulky cards. So this year, my Christmas cards are pretty flat. Thank you so much, Becca, you are truly special.

Simply gorgeous!!!! Your work is so inspirational! Thank you!
Wow, Becca!! Not only is your amazing card stunning…but so is your card holder!!! LOL I really love what you have done with the images, and the different size ovals. It almost looks like you etched it on a piece of glass at first look! Your bows are just incredible!
Praying that you and yours find joy in the Lord this Christmas and always. Praying for you.
