Hi there blog friends! I hope you all have a wonderful day . . . dinner . . . flowers . . . and the queen treatment! Whatever it takes to make you feel special today, I hope that’s exactly what’s coming your way :-) I have a card to share today that I planned to make for Valentines Day but it took prodding over a week to inch it in that direction. It’s very non-traditional and I stretched a little bit to get to that yellow that I told you was in my future!
Using Spellbinders™ Grand Large Labels, I cut several layers to assemble a card base. For the medallion I stacked Spellbinders™ Labels Sixteen and layered on top Spellbinders™ Parisian Motifs that I framed out using Spellbinders™ Classic Squares SM and finally Spellbinders™ Persian Accents framed out usine Spellbinders™ Standard Circles SM. On the outside of the card I stamped the Flourished Heart from Quietfire Design and on the inside used the sentiment callled A Word Lovingly Written.
The final step was to center a tiered sheer bow over a layer of lace.
SUPPLIES I USED |
Stamps: Quietfire Design – Flourished Heart, A Word Lovingly Written Paper: MME Little Miss Caroline – All Dolled Up, Bazzill Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Colorbox Chalk – Rouge Accessories: Spellbinders™ Grand Large Labels, Spellbinders™ Labels Sixteen, Spellbinders™ Parisian Motifs, Spellbinders™ Classic Squares SM, Spellbinders™ Persian Accents, Spellbinders™ Standard Circles SM, Ribbon, Recollections Pearls |
Wishing you and yours the best on this lovely occasion! See you soon!!
This is so amazing work once again here Becca, I just love that yellow and green color, you´ve used here, so gorgeous. I sure wouldn´t mind to get such an awesome Valentinescard, that´s for sure. Just a shame, we don´t celebrate Valentines here now LOL.
I hope, you´re having a wonderful Valentinesday and will be spoiled a bit by your kids at least, as you sure deserve that.
Once again, a lovely card. Love this new paperline. It reminds me of a cool spring day with a fresh mowed lawn. That old feeling that reminds you of how beautiful God’s creations are. You translate them with your talent, paper and embellishments. Have a wonderful Valentine’s day. Treat yourself to chocolates and a spa day. You deserve it for sure.
Hugs,
Cindy
Wow, Becca,
I haven´t written in an age due to having started my own store, but THIS one I HAVE to comment! I am always stunned at what you come up with. And this time you outdid yourself (once again!). Unbelievably gorgeous!!!
Another GORGEOUS card – you amaze me with the many die cuts you use to make one amazing card. What a wonderful talent you share with all of us.

Gorgeous card once again and that little rosette in center of your bow really sets it off.

Wow! I love how you layered the sheer bow over the lace! I think this made my Valentine’s Day! Even if we don’t have that special someone in our life, it is good to appreciate love. This is obviously so lovingly made! Wow!

I don’t know how you keep coming up with such beautiful ideas. They are more than just beautiful.
Thank you for sharing.
God has blessed you with an amazingly creative talent! How you think up these beautiful layers, even to the point of removing a portion from them, always leaves me speechless. Such a lovely surprise as I open each email every morning. Thank you for the inspiration. HUGS from Australia.
So lovely! You’d think I’d get used to seeing them but your bows still knock my socks off, beautiful!
Blessings Bernie
Sooo beautiful, Becca! Very “valentine-y” even though it isn’t pink/red/white. In fact, more impressive because it ISN’T. I love the layers! They add so much interest to the card.
Beautiful card Becca, it a lovely take on a Valentine/Spring card. The die-cuts are so pretty. You have used one of my favorite ways to cut a corner. The DP is so pretty and you have embellished it so nicely. Beautiful work. As always Becca, TFS!!! :-D
HAPPY VALENTINES Becca!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is LOVELY!!!!!!! AND the sentiment is SOOO TRUE!!!!!!! I am ALWAYS looking for Valentine sayings! You don’t want to put the same sentiment on your honey’s card year after year!!!!!! OR your friends for that matter!!!!!!!!! :) HOPE you have a SPECIAL DAY TODAY TOO!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
I always try to count the layers you use. Maybe I just don’t pick the right layers. If I try to use that many, it looks like a stack of soggy pancakes! Yours is beautiful!
Happy Valentines day Becca. I hope you feel the love of our heavenly father enveloping you today
xoxo
Happy Valentine’s Day, and thank you for blessing us each day. .. Hugs and hearts.

Hi Becca,
This is amazing. Its reminds me of the colours of the vintage Valentines that were around when my mum was a girl. They didn’t mind using yellows etc; the use of lots of red seemed to have been introduced much later.
You have used my favourite die on this card and I think it looks wonderful in this layout. (Parisian Motifs)
Hope all is well. Linda
I love your non-traditional valentine – especially the yellow paper! Another gorgeous sample for us to enjoy
Happy Valentine Day becca. Another beautiful card.
Vicky
I love your Valentine Card Becca. Even though I have had a wonderful day so far and hubby has given me a gift that I have only been waiting ten years for, your card really put a smile on my face and made my day. Thank you for sharing it with all of us.
Marcie
Stunning valentine, Becca! Thanks for sharing. Hope you had a good day, too.
I love the idea of the sheer ribbon over lace! I layer narrow ribbons over wider ribbons but never would have thought to do this. Gorgeous card as always Becca!
Just had a play and find this card beautiful to make, lace and ribbon looks great.. Wonderful bows and ribbons really am hooked.
Hi Becca – Happy Valentine’s kind lady! I’m running out of words to describe your cards so tonight I’m saying “WOW!” Thank you for sharing. Blessings, Jean.
I have to admit, I’m not particularly fond of these shades together — I think it stems from a childhood of baby-gacka, pea-soup colored stuff that used to nauseate me so, LOL. That color, and lima beans, used to give me nightmares as a child. Weirdly enough, I also hate the smell of a peanut butter covered knife sitting in a glass full of water. Funny how some things just trigger negativity, ehhhh? So I wasn’t going to write and comment anything, BUT I did want to say how VERRRRRY Very much I always love your bows — makes up for the yuck of the color. (Oh boy, I’m sorry!!) Seeing the bow reminds me with a HUGE SMILE that I’ll soon be getting my very own Becca Peg Bow Maker on order ….wheeeeee!! …. and if I’m lucky enough to be among your first 100 commenters who will receive one of your stashed cards, please not this green one, LOL. :)
I guess this is why they make vanilla and mint chocolate chip ice cream, ehhhh??? Something for everyone?
Fondly,
Ellen – CardMonkey
The card as ever is just Beautiful. Hugs and stuff to you on a day that triggers many blessings and perhaps memories of love’s lost. Thinking of you on this special day.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY TO YOU.
CYNTHIA
Beautiful!
Thank you Becca, for the beautiful Valentine card! And I send you hugs and blessings for a lovely Valentine’s Day too! TYFS! Patty W.
This is gorgeous Becca..Great colors and love the bow..
Beautiful :)
Very nice… colors were quite unexpected!
I love this one. The layering is just impressive and classy.
I’ve wanted to see this paper line used somewhere. It’s really pretty, especially what you’ve done with it. The SB layers are terrific on this one and it’s so refreshing to see a valentine that isn’t pink and red!
Yet again I love the way you have done your layering, it looks gorgeous! and that beautiful bow done on TOP of your lace is exquisite!!!
Another beautiful card.
LOL Eileen
I rarely comment on blogs – it is as much as I can do to fit reading those I like into my day – but just have to say – You make the most beautiful cards – I often stop by your blog just for a dose of beautiful creations – so thank you so much for sharing as you do. Also I find your tips and videos so useful – (and you have a speaking voice as beautiful as your creations – so gentle and full of kindness). I do have a litle question though – I notice you often stamp your greeting on a very pretty die cut – please – do you stamp FIRST then cut or CUT then stamp? I have only recently got a diecut machine – and am very much a beginner where dies are concerned.. Thank you.

Happy Valentine’s Day. What a beautiful untraditional card! Who would not love to receive such a great card. You always suprise me with your creative process.
lovely. my husband is now critically illl, a new diagnosis after collapsing at home and spending a week in hospital, yet he still got me a card. what a love. please i am asking for everyone to say prayers for him, for a cure, and for strength to bear what seems impossible to bear.
Once again you have outdone yourself. Could you please let me know what size your base card is? I traditionally use an 4 1/4 x 5 1/2, but can’t quite seem to get the same effect that you get with your cards. Thanks in advance.
Nancy
A lovely card Becca. Hope you were able to speak to your children on Valentine’s Day and feel their love.
This is a gorgeous card. Your creations always make me smile and inspire me to create! Thank you and many blessings! ~Cynthia
