Happy Father’s Day

Popping in to share a quick Father’s Day Card.  My oh my, hasn’t it been a month of men’s cards?  I’m still feeling my way but I think the more you work with it the more comfortable you feel :-)  So this is yet another of the April Sets from Our Daily Bread Designs and now I’m so pleased to have some "men" material in my stash.  This set called Happy Father’s Day doubles for cards made for any masculine occasion.

For the focal image I backed Spellbinders™ Labels Twelve with one of my favorites, Spellbinders™ Cherry Pickin’.  It’s a classic shape and I use it by simply cutting it and not embossing the cherry images.  For the sentiment I cut it first with Spellbinders™ Labels Eight to give it that little peak then glued that cut out shape to Spellbinders™ Petite Ovals SM, backed by Spellbinders™ Petite Scalloped Ovals LG and lastly by Spellbinders™ Petite Ovals LG.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Our Daily Bread Designs – Happy Fathers Day
Paper:  Bazzill, K & Co.
Ink:  Versafine Onyx Black, Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink
Accessories:  Spellbinders™ Labels Twelve, Spellbinders™ Cherry Pickin’, Spellbinders™ Labels Eight, Spellbinders™ Petite Ovals SM, Spellbinders™ Petite Scalloped Ovals LG, Spellbinders™ Petite Ovals LG, twine, Making Memories Brads, clear embossing powder

Just a note to tell you hubby had a spectacular birthday the least of which was reading all the sweet comments you left.  He was stuck speechless by your kind words :-)
