Have you told me about your best clearance story? If not, scroll down to my blog candy on the post dated April 16th or click HERE.
Yikes, I got a little bit sidetracked today but still wanted to post my card. I love a cream and taupe color scheme and I chose to highlight a great verse from Quietfire Design called A Journey of A Thousand Miles. It was not the card that I had in mind when I sat down, but that’s the way things normally go for me – I come out with something totally different.
On my bottom layer of this card I cut/embossed two Spellbinders Labels Twenty. I’m amazed at how often I reach for this die template because I never would have guess it to end up in my oft used column, lol!! For the next layer I ran a strip of paper which I bordered with the positive and negative cuts from Spellbinders Floral Doily Accents. Lastly I stamped my sentiment on Spellbinders Labels Seventeen. This is a little bit different from my usual but it’s good to do different, might have to try this again :-) Hope you doing good today, I’m still busy trying to unpack – although my trip was short I brought stuff back. I got to go to IKEA – which if you didn’t know, is practically my favorite store in the entire world!!

Friends, I think you are amazing!! I’ll see you soon!!
Love this card…I was just thinking where in the world is Becca’s card today! And then here you are! Thanks for sharing. I can’t wait until our IKEA opens later this year in Colorado!:)
Gorgeous card.
All of your cards are SO VERY BEAUTIFUL!
How elegant! What was used in the middle between the two labels? That is beautiful. Love the colors.
WOW!!! I’m REALLY LIKING this taupe & cream card!!! VERY NICE!!!!!!! (I’ve been into cream/white & taupe/khaki lately here too!!! You should see the dress I got yesterday!!!!! ) :)
Fabulous card! I really love the sentiments you use as well. I am going to scour your blog to find out where you get these beautiful sentiments.
I’m back. Didn’t have to scour at all. I’m off to check out Quietfire Design! Hold me back!!!!!! LOL!
I am constantly amazed that you are able to carve out the time to make a card (or more) every day. Beautiful! I love IKEA too, but sadly I have to drive about 3 hours to get to one. (I guess I save money by it being so far away!)
Becca Becca I didn’t even wait to read your post before I put your card in my favorites to make somewhere down the road , maybe next week, and oh don’t even mention the word IKEA to me…….
A lovely card. The taupe and cream combination do look very good together.
Gorgeous! I like the two colors used. So elegant looking. I see someone has asked about the paper behind the sentiment. I was trying to figure out is this a die cut or a pattern piece of paper? Every element of your card fits so well together. So very pretty!
I love this soft neutral color combination…so elegant with all your classy layers! Oh, IKEA is one of my fav stores too but we live about an hour and half drive to the closest one and I don’t get there as often as I would like. A friend who is getting married this weekend bought the champagne flutes for her wedding there…It was cheaper than renting them!
What a beautiful card!!! I love the colors and the bow!!! I have an IKEA right down the street, it is always so busy and packed. When I go, I usually have to spend the whole day looking at everything. Unfortunately I don’t have a craft store close by that sells the Spellbinders. I wish I did though, I love them!!!
Mary
O.K. I have to know! What did you get at Ikea? We don’t have one yet in San Antonio, but I heard one is in the works. Austin and Houston are our closest Ikea stores.
loving those colors-now I want to run out n get taupe paper! Beautiful use of nesties and ek punch!
Becca this is just Bee-oo-tiful! – Love the colours and the layout.
Blessings from a damp part of NZ

What a drop dead gorgeous card! And such a lovely send off for your son, too!
Wow, cream and taupe. Beautiful. Ikea, love it. I bought some of my storage items from there. I could spend an entire day there, if I didn’t have to bring my along :).
QUESTION, QUESTION, QUESTION…..please show us how to “decorate” the inside of a card. I would love to use prettier cardstock but am not sure how to insert/include/decorate the inside of the card. (And I am not yelling….really) LOLOLOL
Your card is sooooo beautiful…..so elegant.
Lainee
No, you are amazing! And talented too. Love, love your beautiful creations. Hugs to you. Have a great weeK. Robin Barwacz
ooh, such a lovely, lovely card. it just seems to be inherent in you to create such classy, elegant cards. thanx.
Becca, this is a wonderful card. I love the brown colors and all the Spellbinders dies.
this is like nothing I’ve ever seen, beautiful
Again, lovely combination of soft, elegant colors, classy use of Spellbinders. You constantly outdo the previous card.Don’t know HOW you manage. I agree with another poster: decorating the inside of a card would be a nice post — WHEN you get the time and the mood is right. Thanks for sharing. Blessings.
luscious!
such an elegant card…stunning!
Becca, This is ultra yummy. Love these colors; know I say it everytime you use them, but still want to remind you so you use them often. Great card, great Lady, great day. jo
Lovely, lovely, lovely! So quietly elegant. Thanks for sharing, Becca.
Gorgeous nestie layering and what a lovely font on the sentiment! Great colour combo too :) Glad you had fun at Ikea! Great store to spend hours in and dollars in too LOL!
So pretty Becca!! I have always wondered how you get such depth to your various layers. Pieces on your cards always seem to be thicker in appearance than cardstock. Thank you so much Becca!
Beautiful elegance to this card, girl. The colors add another dimension of richness to the piece. Truly a lovely work of art!
Wow, Becca. So elegant. Really love the colours – so unexpected, so subtle, so classy! Thanks for using the rubber stamp!
Oooohhh Becca, your cards are sooo wonderful! I love your works.
Tini
Love your color scheme. Never would think of that on my own, but most of your ideas I wouldn’t think of on my own! That’s why I LOVE your site!
Your card is so pretty! I love the curves and swirls of the borders. The soft gentle colours are so elegant with the pearls.
Thank-you for sharing! :)
No question… this is absolutely your best card and my favourite. The colours are so soft and easy on the eyes; the sentiment gives me pause for thought; I love the bling with the ribbon treatment; and the layering, oh the layering. It is, in a word, perfect! Thank you dear lady for sharing it with us.
Such a beautiful card, Becca – I love the soothing colours and your layers of die cuts/borders!
this is so beautiful it leaves me speechless……….all I can’t think of is beautiful!
Wow! What a gorgeous card, Becca. I love the color combination. Elegant !
These words remind me of the times I have to fill up our wood pile. If I look at the whole big area I have to fill with logs it is over whelming , but if I just do one log at a time, it is amazing how fast the cord of wood gets done. One log at a time, one step at a time, one day at a time……
I love the color combination and the end result. Thanks for sharing.
I also love cream and taupe. I love to wear these colors but my mother and my best friend hate to see me wearing them again. Love your card with my favorite colors.
Beautiful color combo and beautiful card. Always such beautiful details. What is that which you used on the ribbon ??
Hi Becca! That happened to be one of my dad’s favorite sayings, one that has kept me going many a time when I feel overwhelmed with a problem or project!! Thanx for sharing your God-given talent once again, and reminding us to just keep plugging away, one step at a time!! :}
WOW!!!!! you never cease to amaze me with your beautiful creations. I love, love, love this card with the soft colours and the elegance of it all…..Well Done once again Becca <3
LOL Eileen
You do such amazing work with those Spellbinders!!
This is a beautiful card! I enjoy your use of these soft colors and the sentiment! Have a beautiful day!
Becky
how did you not cut the bottom of the brown without the cutouts coming out whereas where you have the pearls on top the cutout is gone????
Pretty card!
Becca,
When you sell your cards, do you decorate the envelope a bit on the front or back sides? Love the warm colors. Gorgeous!
This is a beautiful card, I love your color combo.
Oh this card is pure elegance. Wonderful sentiment.
Becca, thank you so much for doing what you do. I eagerly look forward to your blog every day to see what you have come up with, and I am never disappointed. I know you said your prayer list was long, but please add me on. I have been un- or underemployed for two years now and we’re almost through all of our savings. We’re hoping something will break before we have to sell our house, but it’s not looking good. Anyhow, keep up the great work.
Not really anything else to say!!! Always Beautiful!!!!
Another beautiful card as usual. You are amazingly talented.
This card is gorgeous! Now I like cream and taupe, too! And, that sentiment IS great. I always love the way you use those dies and the ones you choose.
Another beauty. I love to come here every day to see what joys you have for us!
Hugs
