Hi there, don’t forget I have Spellbinders Grand Circles available as current blog candy. Scroll down to my post from 11/25/10 and leave your comment there :-)
I always try to have a gift in reserve, so that I can give it out or send it out on a moments notice. With a huge stash of buttons on hand, I found these little wide mouth bottles at Hobby Lobby and thought they would be the perfect size to give away a collection of buttons. I used the new Tag Die from Our Daily Bread Designs and stamped it with the To, From Sentiment from the Poinsettia Tag Set. For the mini card I used a sentiment from the Holly Tag Set.
Project Recipe: Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs – Poinsettia Tag Set, Holly Tag Set Paper: K & Company, Bazzill Ink: Ancient Page – Coronado Blue Accessories: Our Daily Bread Designs Tag Die, Button Trim (Hobby Lobby), Ribbon, Jar (Hobby Lobby) |
While I was playing, I made a quick card today using the same tag die from Our Daily Bread Designs. Once stamped using a sentiment from the Holly Tag Set, I cut it short and rounded the corners to make it just the right size.

Thanks for stopping by :-) We had a quiet Thanksgiving. Kids had me go to Walmart with them on Thanksgiving night but otherwise I held down the fort while they did the Black Friday dash this morning. I may make it around tomorrow to see what I can see :-)
the mini card is so lovely and what a joy to the recipient to have a bottle of lovely yummy buttons!
Great cards and gift! Love them!
Cute and pretty creations! LOVE that nativity!
How lovely……as always,
I love this idea! How do you think of them all? I hope you had wonderful
Thanksgiving too.
Very cute mini card and beautiful nativity card. Is that nativity a die cut? Gorgeous work, but I’ve never seen one of yours that isn’t!
I LOVE the little bottle but your card is absolutely fabulous! It is not your usual style or colors but yet screams Becca. I would love to win this gift. Thanks for the chance.
Awesome! Love the jar. I just may have to make a stop at HL! Very creative idea for adhering the buttons to the card!
Gorgeous cards and projects. You are always amazing! I just love to see what you’ve come up with!
So creative and lovely. You, I mean! The projects are too. Thank you for taking time on a busy and probably difficult weekend to share.
Very cool!
A delightful gift and adorable card for the crafter/artiste on your list. The creche silhouette diecut is a fabulous design but I missed the ‘recipe’ for it. Oh, wait a minute, I just reread your accessories and maybe it’s the Inspired Heart from Cricut. I don’t have a Cricut so don’t pay much attention to their product listings. It’s a beautifully designed card, of course, with gorgeous background papers. And is the holly pattern a ribbon, diecut, or edge punch? You and your family remain in my prayers.
Beautiful !
Such a fun set for the button gift. I love it when buttons are hanging and those cute dots. That layered Nativity is beautiful beautiful~
Beautiful cards Becca and I love the nativity…if ever I need inspiration I certainly find it when I visit you,

Thanks for sharing … beautiful!
What a lovely little gift set! Love your Circut card, just beautiful! thanks for your ideas, lovely !
Darling projects! Just love those buttons. I, too, am wondering where the nativity die cut can be acquired? Absolutely love that!
A very lovely gift item for a friend who loves card-making as much as I do. I am fairly new to the paper-crafting world and have been so inspired by your web site and your unique abilities with NESTabilities ! I had never seen or heard of them before I found your web site (well, actually I think I was directed here by the Lord ) and I have been so excited about my new art and all the fun I am having by LEARNING from you everyday !
The card and gift is awesome. I love it. I love all your work.
Love that little card-how did u attached it?
That little jar can hold a million little things-love it too!
You always make such pretty cards! love the jar of buttons too!

Lov eyour work. you always get all the right colors. TFS
The Nativity is Wonderful…Happy Thanksgiving Becca ((Hugs))
Both are really wonderful, and it´s such a great idea with the buttonjar you made as a small gift for a crafty friend, and I think, we all love to get some new buttons some times, and this is a great way to give a little joy to someone.
Thanks for another great idea Becca.
Have a wonderful week-end dear friend and take good care.
Biiig hugs Maryann
what a great gift idea and I love the silhouette on the second card
Beautiful projects Becca, as always.
Super idea for a gift. I also love the silhouette card.
How creative to have all those buttons on the ric rac cord.
Hugs Maz
What a cute idea for the buttons! And that nativity card is just stunning! Your cards are so beautiful!
Beautiful cards becca, as usual, I’m glad that you had a nice thanksgiving, I’m sure it must have been difficult with out John, but he was with you all. Many blessings to you and your family. God bless from hawaii!
Becca,
Love the jar you used for the buttons. You always find the cutest things at Hobby Lobby!!! Wish we had those here, but we don’t. As big as San Diego is, we are very limited in variety of craft stores.
Love the ric-rac you used to hang the buttons on your card. After our family left Thanksgiving evening and we cleaned up, I took a three hour nap, got up and headed out for some Black Friday sales. I have not done this for quit a few years now and actually after no sleep, batteling the crowds in freezing weather, standing in long lines at the check out, and really not finding alot of what I had actually went out there to get, I was very disappointed and it will be some time before I do this again anytime soon!!!! I am just exhausted.
Did you do any shopping today?
Marcie
That is so cute. What a great gift idea.
A beautiful card and a stunning gift wish there was a Hobby Lobby here in UK xx
Becca, you have a creativity that never rests, I think. Those buttons hanging from the ric-rac are sooo adorable, and I love the colors. The gift idea is great, too. I did do the Black Friday dash, all through the night, and then slept all day (hence the 3 am post). And, I was happy to find everything I was looking for, which made standing in the freezing cold for 1 1/2 hours worth it (but, my feet were screaming at me for it). Continuing my thankfulness…I’m thankful for you, your creativity and willingness to share it with us, and your wonderful heart that sooo comes through in your blog! Praying for you!
Both cards are lovely! I especially like the button card and gift. Awesome with the ric-rac threaded through the buttons!
I love these gorgeous cards. You are such an inspriation to us all.
Love the use of the buttons in particular.
What a wonderful gift idea. Beautiful!
Both cards are gorgeous! I love the button card and gift. Awesome with the ric-rac threaded through the buttons! You went to Wal-Mart? Brave girl brave!
Quiet Thanksgivings are my favorite kind to have. Keeping busy is also good for the soul Becca. Your projects are wonderful. i think those jar is a great idea for the buttons and I’m sure will bring a smile to the recipient. The golden card is gorgeous. I love the all over design, with the main focal the reason for the season. As always Becca, TFS!!!
Becca, both projects are so attractive. I would love to receive the jar with the buttons – how cute! The tag and card are wonderful touches, too. (love the ric-rac use). Of course, the circuit die cut nativity scene is stunning in it’s simplicity.
Both daughters are avid Black Friday shoppers, however, they didn’t get that gene from me! I’m content to stay home and play games with the grandchildren.
Thank you for sharing, Becca!
What a darling little gift set! Lovely cards. I tend to prefer quiet holidays too!
Blessing on you as you journey through a new way of life. Praying that God’s presence will sustain you.
Totally adorable Becca, love the colors, the buttons are so, so adorable! Quick question if you have time. Did you cut the manger scene with the Cricut or is it a laser cut die? I have both a Cricut and a Silhouette and have never used them (I know, I know, spoiled and shame on me for not using them . . . . LOL). I’m totally lazy, I admit it. I haven’t taken the time to read the instructions . . . I’d rather watch the movie . . . LOL! Hugs, Jerri
Your creativity never ceases to amaze me. I would like to get the jar of buttons. Thanks.
Martha
Oh Becca…. I am drooling over that collection of buttons. I would love to to receive that gift and I know some of my friends would love it to. Thank you for the idea and I’ll be off to Hobby Lobby this morning.
Love your cards today…you have a wonderful gift of creativity!
Hi Becca, glad to hear your Thanksgiving was good. Any day spent with our children has got to be a good day! But I too draw the line at enduring the crowds. I never have liked the crazy crowds, and as I grow older, I like them even less. I love the little button card! What a cute way to use buttons! I had never seen that before. And the nativity tag is beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
Hugs, Jess
What a gorgeous nativity scene! And I thought I didn’t need a Cricut with all my other goodies…….
Great gift giving idea Becca. Love both those cards!
Thanks for sharing your amazing creativity with us. Loves the navitity tag.
God bless.
Thank you for sharing your art. The jar of buttons is a clever gift.
Becca, as always, love your creativity. The card is adorable along with the tags & jar. Amazing what you can find if you have the time to go and look. Keep up the great work!
Gorgeous on all counts Becca! Great gift idea too! Hugs,
Grace
your little bottle project along with the matching card really is ‘as cute as a button’…
I really love the second card with its muted colours – and the die cut is exquisite – and needs nothing else to tell the story of the purpose of the card…
Thank you for sharing – hope things are as well as can be expected and know that you will find comfort in your projects and sharing with the world your talents.
With love
Paula, Derbyshire, UK. x x x
Love the mini card and the Christmas card.
Wow, Becca. Love these cards, as usual! The die cut is beautiful and so simple, yet elegant.
I love the buttons hanging on the rick rack.
You are one talented lady and I wish I had 1/4 of that talent. Your saving grace to the year you have had is the beautiful work you do and sharing of your talent with others. Best wishes this holiday season. Cathi

And I love the nativity cut out.

What an adorable gift set…. love your work, especially the bows!!
I have thought myself a professional, but still find inspiration in what you do. I teach and sell my items, but find looking at your cards gives me inspiration to go that one step further. Thank you
Oh, this makes me smile! it speaks “happiness!” Pretty, pretty!
Love, love the nativity. You certainly know how to create beauty even in the hard times. You rock!
I absolutely LOVE the Peace on Earth with the silhouette!

I just love your little size cards…such an adorable little jar with that scoop…uuuuumm.
You are so creative. It is always a treat to see what is new on your blog.
Oh Becca what a thoughtful idea and who could use the buttons they are so pretty in their little container. And the card is simply awesome!
I have collected buttons my most of my life and that would be a wonderful gift to add to my collection, LOL! My grandmother had a box of old old old buttons when I was a little girl and I used to play with them all the time. They always fascinated me so I guess that is why I have always collected them. Anyhoo, beautiful work today as always Becca.
I love the Nativity tag. Is that a die cut? What a beautiful adornment to a gift…to remind us all what the reason for the season is after all!!
God Bless you as the season gets into full swing Becca!

Sandra

oh wow Becca your cards today are stunning and i love the idea of dangling the buttons it so clever i love it hope you are feeling ok today huni xx
Very beautiful cards again. Thanks for sharing.
Love the tiny rick- rack, never thought of it going through a button hole. I have some old buttons that were on my Mother’s baby clothes, really tiny. She’d have been 100 in 2012. Also wondering about the nativity die cut. I’m going to have to get out and do a little digging in the hobby stores instead of just running in and out for one thing. Got to use those coupons! Thanks for all the great ideas. I can tie a good bow, I can tie a good bow. How many times do I have to say and do it before it become truth???? Soon I hope.
You continue to amaze! Love how you used the buttons on the card, too!
Oh, I love everything about your card. The buttons, rick rack is so perfect and I would never have thought about doing this for a cute trim like this. You are so talented and I’m so blessed to be able to glean ideas from you.
Blessing,
Catherine
What an imagination you have! This card is precious! I could see this idea used for a new baby or when someone needs a smile!
Both of these are just stunning. Love the buttons-so creative.
Gorgeous artwork! Love that nativity!
Isn’t that just adorable!! You are so totally amazing and generous Becca. I am totally with you I hate black Friday, and there are so many myths, and the supposed bargains, most of the time aren’t bargains, the prices are actually cheaper sometime in September and occasionally in December. Hope your kids found some good stuff.
Susan
Wonderful gifts and card, Becca! I love the way you’ve hung the buttons and beads on ric-rac braid!
Diane x
Oooooh! Buttons are my favorite. You are so creative and I love to see what you’ve created each day. I have hundreds of dollars invested in all things to do with stamping and today I bought three cards in the tune of $8! Ugh. I’m so mad at myself. I find myself sitting, just admiring the “stuff” on my shelves but still no mojo. Oh well, glad you’re here to inspire and maybe someday…..I’ll surprise myself. :) Thanks Becca!
Beautiful little gifts, great to see you back creating Becca.
its a blessing to see the Nativity Scene on cards. Thanks you for inspiring and using your gift to bless us.
I love the bottle. Why don’t I have your eyes to see the beauty in random items like this bottle? Lucky recipient of this great gift. Thanks for sharing and giving us a chance to win a goodie from your blog.
Sammie- Mimi2six
Becca–The silhouette card is just outstanding! I LOVE it! The button card is just as cute as can be! I think I’m going to have to case your idea for a card for my niece. She got me into stamping and I always try to surprise her with something special and out of the ordinary! I hope you’re doing ok and love to see you creating. Take care.
I love the jar of buttons…. very cute, and your card is of course amazing!
Thank you so much for sharing!!!
