A Vintage Christmas

Christmas Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using My Favorite Things Stitched Oval Staxx Die-namics, Christmas Label and Tag Die-namics and Christmas Labels and Tags stamp set - www.amazingpapergrace.com
Good morning blog friends.   If you visited my blog yesterday I mentioned I would be guest blogging today and I mentioned an awesome company who had reached out to me.   I’ve always been a fan of My Favorite Things and was over the moon when they asked me if I would do some guest posts for them.  These ladies are as sweet as they can be and they have spoiled me rotten with their words of encouragement and a wonderful goodies pack – some of which I share with you today.  I have two cards to share today, one here and one on their blog.  Since I’ve done so many traditional Christmas cards this season, I decided to go for feminine vintage Christmas in pink.Christmas Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using My Favorite Things Stitched Oval Staxx Die-namics, Christmas Label and Tag Die-namics and Christmas Labels and Tags stamp set - www.amazingpapergrace.com
I started with a kraft card base and added some tea stained papers followed by a piece of design paper.  I layered half of a doily behind the Stitched Oval Staxx Die-namics, added lace then ribbon and topped it off with a Christmas Label and Tag Die-namics, stamped with a sentiment from Christmas Labels and Tags.  I polished things off with mauve satin ribbon, pink tinsel (love the sparkle!) and lace.

CRAFT SUPPLIES I USED
Rubber StampsMy Favorite Things – LJD Christmas Labels and Tags
Craft Paper: Neenah Classic Crest – Natural White – Smooth, Kraft, Tea Stained Papers – Hobby Lobby, Coredinations
Ink:  Amuse Studio – French Roast, Hampton Art Pink
Accessories:  Stitched Oval Staxx Die-namicsChristmas Label and Tag Die-namics, Christmas Labels and Tags, lace, The Paper Studio Pearls, Sewology button, His and Hers Satin Ribbon, Pink tinsel trim (Michaels)

Christmas Card making ideas by Becca Feeken using My Favorite Things Snowflake Fusion Cover-up Die-namics, Pierced Snowflakes Die-namics and Peace, Love, Joy Die-namics - www.amazingpapergrace.com

Here’s my second card – very much in my traditional gold and cream style.  As you know, cream and gold are one of my all time favorites and work so well for dressy Christmas cards.  I used the My Favorite Things Snowflake Fusion Cover-up Die-namics in cream and back lined it with a layer of gold poster board.  I stacked two graduated snowflakes from Pierced Snowflakes Die-namics over ribbon accents and finished up by adding the word ‘joy’ from Peace, Love, Joy Die-namics.

CRAFT SUPPLIES I USED
Craft Paper: Neenah Classic Crest – Natural White – Smooth, Gold Poster Board – Hobby Lobby
Ink:  None
Accessories: Snowflake Fusion Cover-up Die-namics, Pierced Snowflakes Die-namics, Peace, Love, Joy Die-namics, The Paper Studio Pearls, Sewology button,

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I’d be honored if you passed the kindness along to the MFT ladies that have been so very sweet to me – a comment on their blog will let them know you stopped by from here.  I’m always trying to stretch and provide different content here on my blog and the goodies they sent me allowed me to show you some different products that feel good to me.  I appreciate you!!  See you soon!!

    Becca,
This is one lovely card. Love the soft pink and lace, so feminine.
I am having trouble getting to the My Favorite Things blog. Don’t know why because usually when I click on anything highlighted on your blog there is no problem. Will have to check out the other card when I can get linked up.
So happy for you and not at all surprised another company wanting to use your talents. Wish you would give away a weekend with YOU to teach us all your wonderful techniques.

    Good morning Becca,
WOW i love both of your cards that you made for MFT and i can’t choose between them both as they answer separate parts of me. I love the vintage look of the first and the colours that you have chosen, but the second is where i agree with you on cream and gold going together as i think it does make for an elegant card. Thank you Becca for making both of these beauties for us,
    Love and crafty hugs
