I confess, I do have many of your new dies already–bought as soon as they became available but I am so anxious to see what you do with them. Sure hope you have some cards ready to post. Distance is not really an issue, they live in Chicago and we live in NW Indiana, it’s just about a 45-60 min. drive, depending on traffic. Well our lovely Becca it might not be the best of weathers here as it is raining again but there is always a rainbow if you really look for it. I started a shawl for a dear friend to give to a new baby not due for another 8 weeks and he decided to give him new mummy and daddy a shock by arriving on New Years day so my knitting needles have went into double time this afternoon in the make up of the shawl, just had to give the hands a wee rest for a bit but i will go back to it in a wee while. Isn’t it wonderful when a new life comes into the world, it just makes you think that all around you there is little miracles happening and bringing so much joy with them.

My goal for 2016 is to get caught up on cleaning house. My dad’s stroke last Aug. threw me for a loop. It didn’t help that the nursing facility were he was lost/stole new (worn twice) pajama sets, shirts (one lime one got marked with a blk permanent marker across the back, rendering it unusable for wearing in public), a $90 necklace (it is copperwire and plastic to mitigate the effects of emfs from electrical fields and cell towers and definitely doesn’t look the price) the I warned him not to take off (but he did anyway to take a shower) and plastic hangers with his named printed on them. The staff knew I’d be doing his laundry so the clean clothes were on hangers in the shared closet. They went missing. I brought clean shirts and pants the next day and had nothing to hang them up on. I placed them on his meal stand and they ended up on the floor of the closet as dirty. I took them home and washed them and took them back the next day and left them on his bed. That’s when they went missing. Ironically enough, two weeks after I notified the staff about the missing items, I found three of the hangers right away in the unclaimed clothes room. Its bad enough having to pay once for things, but then having to get them replaced (if possible) is offensive for the extra money wasted.
