This card came about after several others I tried just didn’t seem to fly . We always go back to the things we love and that give us comfort. I guess it is no coincidence that I have a full drawer of pink ribbon and and a quarter of a drawer of every other color – likewise with my paper stash. Okay, I give – even though the style is not my usual balance – the asymmetrical circle works for me and of course the pink made me feel right at home. The images are a Close to My Heart Set called Free Spirit, you can check out others here with Nancy, a sweet, sweet friend of mine.
I cut the circle with a coluzzle and smudged the edges with SU Close to Cocoa and stamped the CTMH sentiment. The Free Spirit , swirl and the cut out bird from the same set was stamped with Pixie Pink. The paisley, striped flower and green dotted paper is from Making Memories and is smudged with Close to Cocoa and sewn with my Sew-Mini (first use – yay!). Topped off with a Paper Studio flower and brad, and a Quickutz tag, the last addition is three of my favorite Dew Drops.
The two different patterns makes this my submission for Splitcoast Stampers Technique Lovers Challenge TLC-157 I’m All Mixed Up where the challenge was to use two or more different patterns on one card! Thanks so much for looking.
You live this day but once….make it amazing!

I’m going back through your blog to take a look at all your great work. I just have to say again your designs are just so ‘complete’. What I mean by that is you know exactly how to make every inch of the card visually interesting. You have a good sense of composition and color choice. Thanks for sharing your amazing creations :)
