Hi there blog friends. I’m running in a million different directions today but I have a card I put together that I wanted to show. It’s a little bit on the clean and simple style, but sometimes I like it that way, lol!! I’m using a sentiment from Quietfire Design called Art Is Letting Your Fingers Capture.
I used an embossing folder and then used Spellbinders Standard Circles LG using my half cut method to cut out the half moon at the top. Underneath it, I inserted Spellbinders Labels Twenty which is mounted on a doily. I finished off with some pearls and ribbon. I’m always looking for different and I think I hit that today, lol!
SUPPLIES I USED |
Stamps: Quietfire Design – Art is Paper: The Paper Company Ink: Colorbox Pigment – Cocoa Accessories: Spellbinders Labels Twenty, Spellbinders Standard Circles LG, Sizzix Thank You Set #5 Embossing Folder |
I hope you’re having a wonderful Sunday. Blessings to you and your loved ones. I’ll see you soon!!

It’s a peach of a card and not surprising! I love how you incorporated the Sissix embossing on the background and the half-moon. You even synchronized the lines. That just knocks my socks off. And peach is one of my favourite colours. You done did it again. Thanks so much for everything you do. You just can’t imagine how much you’re appreciated.

This is a wonderful CAS card, Becca. I like the half circle you placed at the top and all the layers you added. Thanks for sharing!
just gorgeous!!!!!!! Love the diamond embossing and how the sentiment was placed on the spellbinder!
Pure perfection!
Becca,
This is just a beautiful card. Right up there with my all time favorites. I definitely would not call this a simple design, just a very elegant one. I really love these embossing folders that split the design. There is so much that you can do with them and they really add alot of effortless dimension to the cards. I love it and love the soft pink color. I have been following you for some time now and always wonder when designing your cards, how often do you change your mind and have to start over on a card. I know that this happens to me alot and I end up spending much more time on my cards then I should. I always think “oh it will only take me an hour and end up spending much more until the end product is exactly right.
Marcie
Absolutely gorgeous. More like this please. Love it!
Beautiful, but that’s EXPECTED from you, Becca. You’re truly an amazingly creative person. Thanks for sharing!

I love your bows!
Can you share what kind of ribbon you use, and where you get it at.
Thanks do much for all your inspiration!
Lovely card and very elegant. The embossing is really nice, did you use only one folder to get the embossing on the half moon flap or somehow combine two?
Beautiful as always. Thanks for sharing.
Lovin’ the peachy colors of this one! Also, simple and clean works:)
So very elegant and gorgeous, Becca! I wouldn’t call this simple at all.
I love the way you always add a beautiful bow. It makes the cards so elegant.
Beautiful card as always. The elements all look great together. You have that special knack of doing that right!
This is the card that truly refreshes. You never know how much
joy your blog brings to me each day. Thank you very kindly, Becca.

Yeees…the half cut method….. Sorry, I forgot how to do this. Quick reminder? You are the one blog I check out daily. Thanks for being a constant source of inspiration.

I haven’t posted lately due to packing to move soon. I didn’t stop looking, though :). I looovvvee this card for its simplicity. It is in a soft tone and so elegantly designed. It is one of my favorites from your hands. Good job, Becca! Kudos galore.
Do have a blessed day in the Lord.

I love everything pink and this is a beautiful card. Thank you Becca for all the inspiration you give to others.
I just Love this card.
such a soft pretty card. altho i prefer written instructions. i need pictures along w them. love videos but i can’t take them to my crafting space to use as i can the written instructions and pictures.
very pretty, love the embossing, especially how you were able to line up the tab just right
Hi Becca,
Very Pretty card.
I am a visual learner, sometimes written instructions seem to be written in a
language I don’t understand, when this happens I have a friend I ring and then it all makes sense,
Classes were I can ask questions and see a finished article are great as well
Hugs Linda
This card is beautiful. I love all your cards and follow your site faithfully. My favorite part of the card is the embossing on the half circle. How do you get two patterns on such a small piece? The lines perfectly match the background and that puzzles me too! Such perfection–so impressive! Thank you for sharing your work with all of us.
Judy
I love that little card and if that is clean and simple then I like clean and simple. I can think of lots of friend who would like a card like that one.
Beautiful words on that stamp too.
LOL Eileen
In this case, Becca, your card is simply stunning!!! I’m totally serious! And, am going to “steal” your idea and send it to my step-mom for her birthday this Saturday. Thank you for sharing the most beautiful of cards!!!
Sorry I’ve been silent for awhile, but I have been checking in. I love this card. The half circle at the top is very creative. I’m wondering how you did the frame around the sentiment panel, in the close-up it doesn’t look like two layers. I’ve seen the technique of inking around the edge of the die, but it hasn’t worked well for me…the ink is never solid enough. Is that what you did here? And if so, how do you get such a nice solid border?
I too am interested in knowing more about the inked border on the sentiment piece! If you get a chance, Becca, please do share. :-)
For ladies like me who were wondering what the “half cut method” was that Becca refers to, I searched the blog and found it, so let me save you the trouble. Go to the March 13 2011 post and you’ll see a project and video!
Very pretty! I love this style.
divin merci pour nous faire voir de si belles créations
