Hi there blog friends! What a glorious way to start the week! I’ve had a little burst of creative energy and this week, so much so that I’ve had to have a little pad of paper at my workbench to write the ideas down. Yep, this morning I was up an at it early, and followed my creative muse down a tangent that will become a tutorial later on this week. But in the mean time, I got a nice little surprise as I sat down for a cup of tea . . .
Last week when I was in Sam’s Club, I picked one of my favorite magazines up on my way out the door. When I sat down to flip through this morning, I happened upon something I made!! You all remember that design? Yes, it went to CHA last summer and I knew a publisher wanted it, but I never knew it had been published. In this issue they mention Spellbinders, but really, it was little ole’ me. This is a bit of an atta girl moment for me. Since it doesn’t happen too often, I hope you don’t mind me sharing it with you.
Well, honestly, back to my now, cold tea! By the way, I’m working on tutorials today. I’m trying to schedule them when I can show new die templates so keep your eyes open for new things from me. In the mean time, I’ll be back later on this evening with a blog candy winner.
Great job, Becca–you deserve that gratification moment ALL of the time, IMO!
Congratulations Becca!!!!! I’m really pleased for you and it’s so well deserved, but still a lovely surprise. We all know it’s your work :)
Hugs Debbi x
Congratulations Becca, what a wonderful surprise to wake up to! You definitely deserve to be published!
Congratulations and your project is so unique and special.I will be on the lookout for the magazine for an up close at it.
Oh, how exciting for you, Becca! Congratulations. I received my copy in the mail the other day but haven’t opened it yet. Now I’ll really having something extra special to look forward to. So here’s another ‘atta girl’ to add to your collection!
Hurray for you. Of course it is lovely. We all need the little pats on the back every now and then. It is good you get them……you do deserve all the compliments.
Lauren
Congratulations! I hope they gave you the credit…
Hi Becca,
I saw this the day before yesterday and I thought it was stunning. The picture I saw was of your beautiful wreath hanging from a matching ribbon and big bow in a setting that looked like the outdoors (not sure where I am sorry to say). Maybe you can remember who else published it; It did have your name attached to it.
Anyway, it is so beautiful, I think it would be perfect for aisle settings at a wedding instead of using flowers or bows. Plus you could make individual cones to be used for confetti and even favours.
Have a good day. Hope you are well
Linda
WOW Becca, you are published now! Congratulations you deserve it, you do such beautiful designs! That lacey doily is just gorgeous! I wonder why they didn’t tell you it was going to be featured in their magazine?
Hi Becca, Congratulations to you! Of course it comes as no surprise to us, your blog friends that you were published. In my humble opinion everything that you do is worthy of publication. Have a great day, and enjoy the moment!

It does not surprise me that you got published but only that they didn’t give you a heads up on it. Anyway, if it were me I would be grinning ear to ear. It gives such a sense of self satisfaction that all the work and effort paid of with a compliment like getting published. I have seen your work in JustRite catalogs with each design beautiful…camera perfect. Enjoy another cup of tea for the new adventure coming!

You deserve more than an ‘atta girl’ ! Oddly enough, I think if I were to see a creation in a magazine without credit going to you, I would still know it was yours. Your distinctive style and flawless execution of any project, holds you in high ranking. And your readers are so blessed that you share all that you do, with us. You go girl!
Hi Becca,
I saw your GORGEOUS creation in the magazine, and I was so excited to see the details ~ A huge congrats to you…what a lovely surprise for you, I’m sure!

Good for you! how exciting it is when your work is recognized! I’ve long been an admirer of your work, but shame on me, have been too lazy to comment! thank you for sharing your creativity with us! and I hope your health improves soon! God bless! karen
you go girl- what a great surprise and Congratulations
aw, Becca, big congrats on being published, that is so very sweet!, and i LOVE your project.
RIGHT ON, GAL!!!!! From what I can see in this post, Better Homes and Gardens is the publisher. Shame is theirs if they did not give you credit for your work. If Spellbinders paid for an advertisment of their product, even they should have acknowledged the artist. Fabulous work! Anyway, I am toasting you now with my cup of tea! Congratulations!!!!!!!!
Congratulations Becca. What a wonderful surprise you recieved today. Your cards are always so beautiful.
Mary
Becca,
Congratulations! And, like everything you make, it is GORGEOUS!!!
Bravo!!! Glad to see your wonderful work being recognized. You are sooo talented….I just love to check out your blog to see your creations. Wish I could create some lovely work, but I do great copies.
Hi Becca, personally I think you should have your very own column or page in one of those crafting magazines and be a contributing writer.
Your work is so amazing, awesome and spectacular and I for one have learned so much from you. I do hope one of these days a major publication recognizes your creative abilities and hires you to create and design for their readers. CONGRATULATIONS, you deserve and earned that recognition in Scrapbooks Etc, even though they only mentioned Spellbinders. Way to go Becca :) :)
what a nice surprise to see your work when you don’t expect it! would be nicer to have it RECOGNIZED as yours! but that’s how companies are….
i know if i see a becca original! lol!
sandyh

What a happy “atta girl” indeed! Can’t wait for the tutorials :)
I seen this project and thought of you.I said to my self
that has to be Becca . Cool can you pretty please do a tutorial.
Thanks Carolyn
The creation of little ole’ you really makes that one beautiful inspirational magazine page. Trust me when I say it will sell lots of magazines. Why you ask? Because I have a vast amount of experience at buying magazines, just because I saw one picture while flipping through that said to me, you gotta have this for future reference.!! Becca, Congratulations and I know there will be many more published works in your future!! As far as I am concerned, you have enough already for your own book!!
Congratulations Becca I am suprised that you have never been published before your designes are just wonderful and they all should be publised. Did you ever think of publishing a book with your card designs you should I know I would buy it.
Andrea
Congratulations, Becca! What a beautiful project!
This is so lovely. I saw this little Beauty when I went through your Blog – yep! from the Beginning right up to the present day – it was so worth every minute. Great to have a cuppa (or several) with!
What can we, “Becca’s Bees” (as I euphemistically call myself and others) do to encourage you to publish? We’d all be lined up waiting for whatever you do … you could so do this Becca!
I agree with others above…I’m totally surprised you’ve not been published before…you are AMAZING!!! You go, girl!! This is gorgeous, and I want a tutorial…I have the dies! Hugs, Cheryl
I agree with Sally Ann from down under, I would definitely purchase a book if you published one. Many of my friends are thrilled with the cards I make using your inspiration and wonder where I get the ideas from. I have sent them your website link and I think they would love to have a book to be inspired by too. I love your work, it is so beautiful and I think Spellbinders must love how well you use their product. Thank you so much, wishing you well in whatever endeavor you do.
A BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU!! That looks like something you would do. It is beautiful. Keep the inspiration coming. Hope this day finds you feeling better.
Congratulation Becca, you deserve it.
Way to go girlfriend!!!
Congratulations, Becca!! And, by the way, I’ve neglected to let you know how much I love your ‘new’ style of tutortials….I realized the new equipmement has a lot to do with how it shows, however, nothing can take credit for your presence and skills, but you and God…..so kuddos to you both.
Congratulations, Becca. I have fallen in love with your creations. Thanks for shaing so much of yourself with us. God bless.
I can’t believe you haven’t been published much…your cards are so beautiful….thanks for sharing them with us and your talent!
Congrats Becca! We all know how talented/gifted you are and everything you do should be published.
Blessings,
Peggy
Yahoo Becca! I do remember that one, thought it was gorgeous then and still think so now. Congrats!

Well Deserved…Congratulations Becca!
Enjoy the compliment of being published. You are.so diserving of this homer. You inspire me everyday.
clap, clap! You deserve to be proud!!
Good for you Becca. I think it is okay to toot your horn once in awhile….. You REALLY do deserve the recognition!!!
I love that wreath. It is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
Way to go Becca!!! Congrats- well deserved!!! I always enjoy your blog, thansk so much for sharing your talent and inspiring so many!
Congratulations Becca! Well deserved and well earned.
Blessings Bernie
I eeewed and awwwed when I saw that in the new issue! So excited to see it was yours! How patient and talented you are. The project is stunning.
I can’t abide Spellbinders not giving you the credit for your design. What’s going on there. Seems like exploitation to me. Certainly they have some say in what goes into a magazine, when it is their product.
Edited to add by Becca: Marlene, no fault of Spellbinders, just circumstance, but nothing bad going on there. It was just the way the magazine listed it and I probably had to levy the stipulation that it carry my name. I didn’t do that, it’s not something that bothers me. Hugs Becca
This certainly doesn’t surprise me. Your talent needs to be shown-world wide. With all your beautiful creations, you certainly could produce several books of all your beautiful cards and hybrids- along with picture tutorials. Congratulations on your recognition. I’m sure it’s just the beginning!
Cindy
Oh my goodness, how exciting…. I have said before… you need to have a book published with all your beautiful work. Congratulations …. God bless…. Denice
YAY Becca!! Congratulations! Beautiful work!
Congratulations, Becca!! That sounds like a sweet surprise, even better than those cookies! You do make gorgeous things, and am glad you were featured and let us know about it!
Hi Becca, I saw this ad in the magazine and immediately recognized it as your work. But when I looked for some recognition of you, there was none…only Spellbinders. I was so disappointed that they didn’t give you credit for it. Sure thought it was dirty pool. I think Scrapbooks Etc. and Spellbinders should have a slap on the knuckles!
Hooray for you Becca. Can’t think of anyone that deserve more kudos than you. Please give us more details.
Congratulations, I am so happy for you. Must of your work should be in there :)
What a surprise! I’m happy for you Becca :-)
Hugs,
Venus
Congratulations Becca! It is such a great feeling to be published! You deserve it!
Rubber Hugs, Sharon
I am very excited for you, but really disappointed that credit was not. It is suprising that you don’t appear like in every other page considering all the creative projects you come up with time after time. Don’t you usually have to submit something for publication??? Do you do that Becca? If not, you should. Your talents are so far superior to most that I see that actually do get published. But what ever the case, it has got to feel really special to flip open a magazine, and realize that it is your work staring up at you. Congrats.
Marcie
Congrats Becca! I am sorry that you did not get the credit because your skills are totally awesome and I am so happy for you!
Fantastic Becca ! You Earned their reccognition! Weall Know how talented you are! So happy for you!
Congratulations Becca!!
As all the other “Becca Bees” ( Sally-Ann comment) have said before me, we are all thinking the same thing…why aren’t you published every day. Your work is amazing!
In one of the comments someone mentioned your engineering mind, that is absolutely right, your attention to detail, depth and alignment are second to none.
Bravo girl, many more to come.
Hugs & Smiles
Trisha
So happy for you!
Congratulations!!! Becca, well deserved. We love your work and so everyone out there should get a chance to enjoy it too. As always Becca, TFS!!! :-D
Congratulations. Winner. winner. chicken dinner! TFS.

I saw that last week, and meant to come and tell you congrats! But I forgot…I always do! So congrats my friend. Your creations are always magazine worthy! I’m glad they agree with me.
Way to go Becca :) Sure you could have tons of cards published :)
How exciting that must be, especially when your not expecting it, Congrats!!
Atta girl Becca! You deserve every accolade because you are quite simply, FABULOUS!
Hugs,
Beth P
Wow, so very cool to get published! I can’t believe more of your work hasn’t been, it is all so amazing. I wanted to let you know that I made some of these wreaths for Christmas gifts for family this year and they loved them! I think I shall make it a goal of mine to make a different one of your projects every week! I really love the tutorials you write up-so incredibly helpful to see the step by steps. Congrats again on your publication! You deserve every bit of it.
So happy your gorgeous piece made it into publication so more people can see it- congratulations. It is always so great to see your name and something you have created in a publication! I am anxiously awaiting the tuts you are working on.
Becca, I happened to look through that magazine last week when I got it in the mail (as I got a subscription for Christmas) and saw that design and knew right away it must be you, only you could design something that gorgeous!
Love it!
Well I’ll give ya an atta girl pat on the back. Really way to go.
You’re in my prayers.
You deserve an “atta girl”-take your bow, please.
What a wonderful surprise – congrats Becca. I know how proud you are! :\
