Hi there friends! I have a card to share today and have been having a fab time cutting and testing out dies. I’m not stuck but so much in a groove that I’m enjoying right now with clean cut die cut cards with a classic flair. My mom is watching me create and was quite tickled with this card and of course it’s so much fun having her here that listened intently to her advice. She especially loved the use of vellum to give a soft muted look at the pattern, texture and pearls behind everything. I hope it’s not too soon to think about Autumn, but I am with this lovely sentiment by Quietfire Design – Autumn is a Second Spring.
I used four dies on this card. The background is made using three border strips of Spellbinders Renaissance Border One. The frame is made using Spellbinders Astoria Decorative Elements and using Spellbinders Astoria Label to cut the aperature and the vellum. The golden leaves were made using Spellbinders Loopy Roll Flowers.
Walk Through on How to Make the Card
Base
The base of the card is 6″ x 7-1/4″ on cream card stock. I used gold paper cut to 5-7/8″ x 7″ as a background to layer on three strips of the Renaissance Border One which are combined by overlapping the edges.
Focal Panel
The Astoria Label Decorative Elements is pretty lacey, so I thought it couldn’t clash and you’d be able to see through it well. I cut the largest die and cut the aperature then layered vellum behind it, attaching the vellum with Ranger Glossy Accents.
Embellishment
I used a bow to span the card and thought filigree gold leaves would be a different embellishment that didn’t get in the way of the bow.
Rubber Stamps: Quietfire Design – Autumn is a Second Spring
Craft Paper: Neenah Classic Crest – Solar White – 80lb Cardstock, The Fine Touch Gold Metallic Poster Board
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Ranger Super Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder

Hi Becca, A stunning card, and I’m loving the gold leaves atop the beautiful bow, really effective. So glad you are having great times with your Mom.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
Hi Becca
Stunning card again, looks almost lacy and intricate, enjoy your time with your Mum x x x
Hi, Becca,
I love, love, love the ribbon-bow-pearl flower-gold leaf embellishment – so beautiful! Bringing the ribbon over the bow is something I just wouldn’t have thought of. It gave the perfect base for the flower and leaves. You’re just so creative that way!
It’s wonderful to see you playing – as you heal.
Love and blessings, Sandy
I must admit, I would love some more summer, before I start thinking of autumn, but with that said, this is an abasolut stunning card. I just love your use of gold on your cards. It looks just like a million every time, and this is no different, and I absolutely LOVE it.
I hope, you´re having a joy of time with your mum there, it´s a real treat to have that chance.
Have a wonderful summer now sweet lady and enjoy every minute.
What a gorgeous card with the loopy roll leaves setting it all off. If it’s beautiful in a pic how much more in real life!
What a beautiful card as always, but this one really is simple to create but looks so stunning and professional. You are just the most talented card maker I have ever come across through the years. You simply never cease to amaze me time after time and I have been following you for more years then I wish to recall. Thank you Becca for all you share with us. Hugs,
Marcie

I am so glad you are enjoying having your Mom around to help you. That is a priceless treasure many of us are not afforded. So treasure it all :)
I love the gold filigree leaves!!!
A stunningly beautiful card! Love the white and gold elegant look and the lovely sentiment.
Another Stunning card! How great it must be to have your MUM there to watch your creativeness. I too like the vellum to soften the sentiment. Keep on keeping on with your amazing creations!
Now that is just gorgeous. You mom gave you some good advice! I’m glad she is there with you to enjoy participating in your creative process. You sure have created another beauty.
Hi Becca, (I hope you received my Jacquie Lawson Thank You) Sometimes people won’t open it thinking it is spam.
Love your card today. And love the fact that your Mom is near. I can almost hear a giggle in your voice. You must feel very loved. Your card is spectacular. Each element stands on its own, but compliments each other. Love the Gold. When you told us what gold foil paper you used, I ran out to Hobby Lobby and bought it. I love it and it is beautiful with any die-cut.
Rest well and heal quickly? Hugs,
Sara
Terrific card! Thanks for the inspiration.
Lovely Card,,,,
Hi Becca, Your card is beautiful.
It is always nice to have your mother around.
Mine has been in heaven for a while now.
But she did stamp with me.
She loved colors & would put a lot of color on her cards.
I have some of her cards & I treasure them.
Enjoy your time with your mom.
Beautiful card, Becca. Here in Florida our Spring and Fall last about 3 days each. Ugh!
Sure wish we could get out of this 105+ heat index. Even 3 days of Fall would be so welcome.
Good morning Becca, another beautiful day, another beautiful card!!! I too hear the joy in your post!!! Keep getting better and give your mum my best!!!
Have a good one!!!

Love your card and glad to hear you are totally enjoying yourself! So much fun in creating when it all flows! Still enjoying summer but unfortunately it will be over all too soon!
Beautiful card with amazing elements on it. I like how the words just “float” on the vellum and how the gold die cut shows through the vellum like a “vision” through “fog”. Thanks for sharing your ideas.
Such a beautiful card, Becca! I’m so glad you are getting to spend some time with your mom!
I love roses, but my real favorite is the fluffy carnation. I’m a lace type and they fit right in with that. Glad you foot is doing ok.
Wow!!
This card is gorgeous! Looks like your mom has an eye for beauty, too. So your talent has some basis in heredity. So glad your surgery went well, and she is there with you. After all, there’s nothing that compares to a mother’s care. Mend well, my friend. You mentioned being in a groove, but be mindful to not overdo.
So Beautiful! Gotta Love Mom’s little whispers of sweet advice!

Beautiful card Becca!!! I hope you’re healing well!
Hi Becca, Yes, indeed, I agree with your mom–this is classic elegance with bold gold card stock softened by the vellum. Can’t beat this basic look for lots of occasions. I don’t have all of dies but enough to copy the feel and look of your winner card. Thanks to you and your mom for another great idea of combining die cuts, stamps, and materials. Your bows are a study in themselves. Barbara
A really gorgeous card, Becca!

Love, love, love this card! I always love your combination of gold and white…so classic. I love how you have lots of pattern here but it doesn’t clash with each other. Gorgeous card, Becca! Hope your recovery from surgery is going great and I can only imagine your mom’s visit/help is a wonderful experience.
This is lovely. I agree with your Mom – the vellum is a nice touch.
