Hi there blog friends! I hope you had a marvelous Mother’s Day! First things first, don’t forget that today is the last day to enter for the Girls Paperie blog candy found ——–>HERE. I don’t know a cut off time, but I’ll be back with a winner some time tonight. Otherwise, I’m back to kick off my new week with the Mojo Monday 190 Sketch. Cool sketch as always and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate how this prepares me for the week. It’s almost like the stretching you do before you start on your morning run — so this is the stretching and the run :-) I’m using stamps from stampmaker extraordinaire – Claire, at Waltzingmouse Stamps. Her designs are so well thought out and so darn clever – this card uses stamps from two different sets Very Vintage Labels No. 18 and Rescue Remedies. Both of these are among my favorites, that is if there is such a thing as having a favorite – they’re all absolutely to die for! Oh, did I mention that they match Spellbinders so all you do is stamp and cut?
I followed the sketch closely and layered a combination of Spellbinders Labels Eighteen and Spellbinders Labels Four instead of using a rectangle. My ribbon crosses the front of the card but I also included Spellbinders Fleur de lis Accents border for interest. I added some pearls and brads and lastly one from a set of Jolees hairpins. I simply let the hairpin part attached to the flower – I think it gives the embellishment a special look.

Becca you always amaze me with the different colours yo use and the always look perfect together. As always your card is so beautiful. I thought the embellishment was a hair pin and it looks great. Oh and I love the sentiment.
Happy Monday to you too.
Love Sheila xx
Oh Becca, your card is lovely and is a perfect example of the question I have been asking. How do you do the inside of this card? With the beautiful dark blue cardstock, how do you put a verse, saying, etc. on the inside? Oh, please share with us how to do the insides of a card to make them nice. Big hugs from Nebraska.
Clever use of the hairpiece! Beautiful card!
I love the colors on this card! Actually the more I look at the more I love it!
The sentiment is such a true statement friends are the cure for almost anything! Well I truly know mine are. Oh and by the way give it up to where you got you new card holder I REALLY NEED that! Just to display my cards that my sister makes me, I hate putting them away but I do save each and every card I receive. Hope you had a great Mother’s Day! TFS

Blessings
I love it, Becca! The colors are WOW!
love this color combo w/ that cute hairpin! Can you please share where you got that ribbon-just gorgeuos!
Love all your card Becca
but the little black stand shows the Card off beautifully
Beautiful.TFS. God bless and have a great day.
When I first looked at the card, I thought the hair pin thingy was supposed to represent a fork! lol The stamp has the feel of a recipe, so the fork made sense. But the hair pin also makes sense because we’re talking about friendship. Either way, this is a beautiful card! I love the colors. Beca, my friend, you’ve done it again.
Hugs, Jessica
ABSOLUTELY “LOVELY!!!!” :) I LOVE the teal printed paper!!!! & YES, I DID notice the hair pin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That’s SO NEAT!!!!!!!! Could even be a little gift to the recipient!!!!!!!!! VERY NICE!!!!!!!!!
I like the card and the colors you choose and I like the saying you pick, too. Thank you for sharing.
Have a great day :)

Becca you crack me up. Seems everyday you say “one of or among my favorites” and it always make me smile. I think everything in my craft room is one of ‘my favorites’ as well. If you ever have a poll asking what is your favorite (fill in the blank) I’ll be stumped. It would be as difficult as picking my favorite child.
I love everything about this card. What a wonderful sentiment. The colors are stunning and that blue paper is so rich.
Blessings Bernie
Love this card, and I do love Claire’s stamp designs! It is really neat how you only show a part of the background SB shape- will have to try that out-of-the-box (out of the die cut machine?) thinking myself!
You are awesome to be giving away all this beautiful paper! And I LOVE The Girls’ Paperie! and surprised you can part with it (smile!). Thanks much for all the time and effort sharing your talents–we sure enjoy them and look forward to all your posts. -Stacy
Hey Becca
I have a question for you. Why is it that when I get emails from your website I get the same card when I open the letter. For instance I hadn’t opened my mail for over a week so there were several there, when I opened several of the they were the Balm Of Friendship card. This happens all the time. Am I doing something wrong? I can go to the archives and find different cards but that takes a long time. I’d like to have a different one each day like I used to get before you changed the website. Can you help me out. Love all your cards but wish I didn’t have to search so hard to find them during the week.

Love the card and the color combo. Thank you for inspiring us!
fantastic as always Becca. Wish I had your get up and go. By the time I I have a couple of days off from flying, I have to spend that time catching up on household chores. Magnificent card sweetie.
Your card is so pretty! I love the blue and beige. The little hairclip trim is sweet and the little frill of lace peeking over the ribbon is such a nice touch.
Thank you for sharing! :)
Another beautiful art expression. Your work never ceases to amaze me.
Becca, this is really nice. It seems a tweak different from your usual style, but classy just the same. I can’t put my finger on what is different though….
maybe it’s the blue?
Either way, it just shows your endless talent and versatility!
Beautiful card Becca! I see where the DP is from DCWV. Do you recall which paper pad it’s from? It’s just beautiful…but then I have a thing for anything blue!
Love this color combo, neat embellishing of the ribbon!
Becca… a hairpin… SERIOUSLY? Girl… you never cease to amaze me!
Absoutely gorgeous! Love the rich colours you’ve used in your card. Don’t think I’ve ever seen a hairpin in the design before though!! It’s fab!
Love it! It’s got a certain “je ne sais quoi” about it. I think the men in my life would like it too. It’s purposeful and handsome, rather than beautiful or fluffy. What I enjoy about your work is that you create in so many different modes. I get stuck (right now in fluffy) and can’t seem to escape when I want to. Recently I had to make a 65th b/d card for my d.h.. It wasn’t fun. Indeed, it was the most difficult thing in the world. I did it, but oh boy, did I sweat! But enough about me. Your card is fabulous. Thank you so much for giving us so many ideas to get our creative cylinders firing. You’re the best!
Oh, this is just beautiful! I adore those little gold pearl accents on your background. As always, your card is filled with breathtaking detail. Thanks for playing along with Mojo Monday!
Becca, this is just gorgeous!!
