Tiny-Dancers-Giveaway
Hi there friends!  Just wanted to pop in and share the winner of the Tiny Dancers die template set that was up for giveaway.  The winner need only reach out to me through the contact tab to get me mailing info, and this darling set will be on its way.

Just a note:  After seven long years of blogging, it’s time for a little bit of clean up behind the scenes – the old blog is busting at the seams and undergoing a little bit of reorganization in the storage department.  This means Amazing Paper Grace may be sporting a maintenance screen off and on for the next day or so – or things might look whopperjawed (lol, that’s my grandma’s word ‘cept she said woppajod).  No worries!  Keep checking back – you never know – some kind of giveaway treasures might float to the surface in between putting things away!

In the mean time, this month users requested ideas on how to use Spellbinders Swirl Bliss and Spellbinders Arched Elegance.  Here’s a recap

Thank You Card and Gift Box Ensemble ideas by Becca Feeken using Quietfire DesigAn and Spellbinders Swirl Bliss - www.amazingpapergrace.com
“The best gifts come from the heart, not the store.”
Sarah Dessen

Don’t you just love that quote?  That’s why we make what we make, right?   Oh, hi there!  I hope you had a wonderful holiday and I hope you want a tutorial today because that’s exactly what I’ve got!   I’m sharing a little peek of an ensemble I created; I’m guest blogging over on the Spellbinders Blog today with full instructions for the card and the matching box ensemble.  We always need Thank You cards and this is one is a cinch with a beautifully flourished sentiment from Quietfire Design from the Thanks Cuddlers Set (a must have in our gifting tool box).   It’s all about gift giving and once you’re over there you’ll see how easy it is to make a  unique golden arches box that you can customize to match two colors for a wedding party, for a baby gift, or for any occasion you like.

Giveaway

Before you go, I have a giveaway going on today with these two precious Ballerina Dies from the A Gilded Life Collection with Spellbinders.  Leave a comment telling me the next occasion you want to make a card for!  Open to all, including international folks, I’ll pick a winner on May 28 and will post it on the blog.

I have loads of birthday cards to make in the next few months. But a very special one for my sister in law Lynn. She will be 65. I do all sorts of cards for her.
As she is legally blind I do large cards with black and whites so that I know that she can see them.
I just love watching what you make each time I get an email as I have gained lots of inspiration from you. I love the ballet girls and can use them on card for Lynn so that her granddaughter can look at the card and explain what she sees.

Just finished an anniversary card for my beloved of 52 years (yesterday the May 25). Guess the next one will be for my handicapped daughter’s little boyfriend, also handicapped which will be the end of June. Then in July, I have my hubby’s birthday, August is nephew’s. So I am slowing down for the summer.
I guess I cheated a little because I saw the tutorial on Facebook Spellbinder’s
blog; figured it would be on here sometime today and I was right. I have all your new dies so guess I am ready but would rather have the ones you made. Thanks for the contest!! Hope I win!!!!!!! Could be an early birthday present for me July 9th.

While we now live in different states and I will miss celebrating together, I want to send her a birthday card and a card set that she can use to send “Thinking of You” cards to family and friends. Her husband has early onset Alzheimers so they recently moved to Colorado to be near their son and his family. I know she would love a card set to stay in touch with friends she left behind. Morning Becca, A very beautiful Thank You card.
I am busily making my first mini Album for my new Great Granddaughter, Sophia Grace, she was 8 weeks last Sunday. I have loads of piccies that I take every week when I go to see her (today is my day, yay !!). I have made the cover and created the inside cover sheet and partway through doing my first page. I have never made one before and trying to follow the worksheet and video ‘to the letter’, and hopefully when I have finished I will have a better idea of techniques for future albums.
Looking at your fabulous ‘giveaway’, this die set will be fabulous for Sophia Grace when she gets a little older, and I would love to win it.

    Hi Becca
What a beautifully elegant card. I am always inspired when I look at your cards especially when you use gold or teal or best of all both together.
There is true beauty in simplicity !!
    Unfortunately the next cards I am making are sympathy cards and I personally don’t like cards that are sent saying ;To all the family;
Grief is a very personal thing as I’m sure you’ll know so to send someone a personal card that they can read when they are feeling low is not only more practical, especially if not living in the family home any more, and certainly much more comforting Have a great day. Crafty hugs Jane xxReplyCancel

    Hi Becca,

I love your cards and follow your blog religiously. Unfortunately, the next card I’m going to make is a sympathy card for the family of freind who passed away recently. Although many nice sympathy cards are commercially available, I want them to know that my sentiments come from my heart, and a card, lovingly handcrafted, does that.ReplyCancel

Becca Feeken and Stacey Caron at Spellbinders - When Creative Minds Come Together
Hi there friends – we’re right on the edge of a holiday weekend, the beginning of summer and coming up on a day to savor the memory of our loved ones who served on Monday, Memorial Day.   I wanted to pop in and share a couple of things.  The first thing is as rare as a dinosaur (I’m not kidding) so you’ll want to come see – what is it?  Lets just say this is what happens when creative minds come together.

Anyone who knows me knows I’m not a selfie person, so I only let her snap one picture. I’m just not photogenic and am much more at home behind the camera – but what a great opportunity to spend some creative time!  Last month I was so busy with the roller coaster of life that I didn’t get to share this picture.  You’ll recognize her – Stacey Caron – she’s the inventor of Spellbinders and the creative force behind Spellbinders Dies – tools so instrumental in my wonderfully crafty life, and my friend!    As a newly licensed designer we spent a little bit of time on camera together chatting.   Ahem, me on camera in a video?  Check, that’s an entry for my “Do Something That Scares You Everyday” journal!

So, HERE is a link that not just a picture or just my hands – it’s me in real life even though if you really look you’ll see I’m kind of shy but there’s no doubt that I’m tickled as punch with where I am right now.

Lots of planning goes into what Spellbinders produces and the dies you see now were conceptualized more than a year ago, in some cases two.  I was amazed at the operation and and even met the folks that pack your orders (and my orders too).  In fact there are a lot of people who work behind the scenes.   I work alone so it was a bonus to me to walk into a place where the creativity is just swirling around in the air. Stacey and I poured over design ideas and well, I came back home with wind in my sails.

So here are a couple of links for you today:

Hey, and if you make anything with my dies, drop me an email to let me know – I’d love to see!

    Becca,
As you probably know you see my name come up almost every time you blog. What a joy to see you and Stacey together. Girl you are so humble and you shouldn’t be! Spellbinder is so lucky to have someone of your quality and professional design. I had been to the website and saw the card and the candles blog and I have already purchased your wonderful dies. One of these days I will have to email you a picture of something I did with them.

As always, I hope you have a wonderful holiday and as I have said God Bless your creative hands!!
    Hugs,
