Birthday Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using JustRite Grand Handwritten Sentiments and Spellbinders Labels 47 Decorative Elements, Spellbinders Pierced Squares, Spellbinders Blooms Four - www.amazingpapergrace.com
Good morning friends!  So happy to have had some crafty time, I have a card to share and a cool sale to talk about.  About the card . . .  try as I may, I’ll never have enough Birthday Cards on hand, so I added another one to the stash.  I’ve used JustRite Grand Handwritten Sentiments and  JustRite Grand Handwritten Sentiments  SVG along with Spellbinders Labels 47 Decorative Elements, Spellbinders Pierced Squares and Spellbinders Blooms Four.  And  oh how I love Labels 47 Decorative Elements. This is the first time I’ve used this template and I sure don’t know why, it’s absolutely delightful and so airy!
Birthday Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using JustRite Grand Handwritten Sentiments and Spellbinders Labels 47 Decorative Elements, Spellbinders Pierced Squares, Spellbinders Blooms Four - www.amazingpapergrace.comI created the frame look using Labels 47 Decorative Elements and cutting the aperature using the Pierced Squares Template, then I inset a smaller square for a contrast effect.  The small flowers were made with Blooms Four which has three small flowers that I stacked to get a variety.  The Sentiment is cut using a JustRite SVG file and I love it that there are holes in the interior.  I wanted to create a dimensional cut element by stacking and offsetting two identical layers.  I colored the edges of the bottom layer with a gold krylon pin and it reminds me of the pricey little elements you buy at the craft store.  Frugal me = happy crafty girl.

The papers that you have used, the soft antique rose stunning ribbon and the style is just so pretty, thank you flower for your work of sheer beauty.

Birthday Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using Spellbinders Cascading Hearts, Spellbinders Victorian Tassels, Spellbinders Petite Pennants - www.amazingpapergrace.com
Good morning!  I hope you have a wonderful weekend planned.  If you’re lucky enough to have marvelous spring weather where you are – savor it!  The outdoors is calling me too, in the mean time I have a birthday card to share today.  I’m keeping it short and sweet so I can get all my must do’s done and have outside time.WRBF-4662-2015
Made on a 5-1/2″ x 7-1/2″ base, I layered cream and gold card stock and topped it with Spellbinders Cascading Hearts.  On the next layer I added Spellbinders Pierced Rectangles.  The top and bottom of the rectangle are embellished with Spellbinders Victorian Tassels – I used other pieces from the same set to make the laurel heart as well.  To finish up I stamped Birthday Greetings onto vellum and cut the ends using the ribbon tails pieces from  Spellbinders Petite Pennants.

CRAFT SUPPLIES I USED
Rubber Stamps:  Anna Griffin
Craft Paper:  Neenah Classic Crest 80 lb – Natural White,  Gold Foil Card Stock (Hobby Lobby)
Ink:  Fresh Ink – Onyx
Accessories: Spellbinders Cascading Hearts, Spellbinders Victorian Tassels,  Spellbinders Petite Pennants , Recollection Pearls, May Arts Silk Ribbon, Button

Hugs sweet friends, I’ll be back soon!!

Becca, I have a problem. I was absolutely in love one of your cards and I noticed in the list of what I would need to make a similar card that you use Neenah Classic Crest Natural White 80 lb smooth. Well, I found it online and ordered it. It came today and is just paper. Bummer. Is there something else I need to know? Could you take a picture of the end of a ream of paper/cardstock. Or is there a number that identifies it on your order form. I hope they’ll take it back. Sorry to be a pest. Thank you in advance for helping me. TerryReplyCancel

Birthday Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using JustRite Romantic Wild Roses and Spellbinders Decorative Applause Embossing Folder and Labels 42 Decorative Elements - www.amazingpapergrace.com
Have you ever used the phrase Beautiful Inside and Out to describe a sweet friend?  Sure you have!   You know them, that’s one of our good friends that has that special glow – she (or he) is so gracious and she’s magically kind without even trying.  It’s not often that I have the energy reserve to tackle the inside of a card, but I was thinking about it recently and thought if I’m truly sending a card to someone like I described, why not do more to make the card beautiful on the inside and out?  When I sat down to the task I immediately knew the stamp set I wanted to use – JustRite Romantic Wild Roses with a touch of vintage flavor using  Spellbinders Decorative Applause 3D Embossing Folder.  It was truly an easy task to accomplish using JustRite Romantic Wild Roses Offset SVG’s otherwise, I’d still be sitting in front of the TV fussy cutting :-)
Birthday Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using JustRite Romantic Wild Roses and Spellbinders Decorative Applause Embossing Folder and Labels 42 Decorative Elements - www.amazingpapergrace.com
The embossing folder was colored by smearing Antique Linen Distress Ink before embossing then repeating the same steps using Tea Dyed Distress Ink (and a little mist of water) An aperture is cut using Spellbinders Labels 42 and then embellished using Spellbinders Labels 42 Decorative Elements.   I used the same dies in a similar arrangement as the outside including the cut flowers.  The outside text is done with JustRite Extended Family Large Fancy Sentiments and enough options that I used the same text to fill the inside.  I offset the area by bordering with Spellbinders Classic Scallops.  There’s just enough open room on the bottom to leave a sweet note for that special friend :-)  How about you, do you decorate the insides or are you ready to move on after making a smashing card on the outside?

Hi Becca. Such a pretty card, I love the colour and design. I must admit I rarely decorate the inside of my cards but maybe I will try and do it with my next one and see what it looks like. Take care. xxReplyCancel

Becca, your card is beatiful. It will make a great Mother’s Day card. I always love your creations and wait with anticipation for your next idea.
Becca, I have a problem. I was absolutely in love one of your cards and I noticed in the list of what I would need to make a similar card that you use Neenah Classic Crest Natural White 80 lb smooth. Well, I found it online and ordered it. It came today and is just paper weight. Bummer. Is there something else I need to know? Could you take a picture of the end of a ream of paper/cardstock. Or is there a number that identifies it on your order form. I hope they’ll take it back.
Sorry to be a pest. Thank you in advance for helping me.ReplyCancel
