Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using Waltzingmouse Stamps Pretty Circle and Hello Die
Note to self: Casually drinking a cup of coffee while hovering over the card you happily created and finished four days ago but thought to add on just that one last flourish — welp, that might not turn out well.   Yep, that really happened, while writing this post, aarrgh!  Thankfully things worked out and I simply cut off the bottom right corner of the card and patched it with extra cardstock.  Just a peek behind the scenes folks – yes these things happen :-)  Welcome back for the Waltzingmouse Stamps February 2015 Blog Hop as we wrap up the releases for the month.  If you haven’t stopped in this week, you can see all the items in the release HERE  :-)  If you came from Tosha Leyendekker’s blog you are in the right place, at any time you can get your bearings by checking the order on the Waltzingmouse Blog.  Now on to my card, this is actually the first card I created with new goodies in hand and it feels a little bit on the CAS side but the inspiration was threading some pennants through the Pretty Circle Die.WRBF-4624-2015
My card is 5-1/2″ x 7-1/2″.  I created two staggered layers on the card base then added a piece of 7″ cardstock that I cut the edges with the Pretty Circle Die.  I cut a Pretty Circle which I then cut again with Spellbinders Standard Circles LG creating a frame which I adhered to the strip at the top and bottom.  Then I hand cut several pennants and threaded them over the circle and underneath the strip – this created a space in the center for the Hello Word Die.  The final embellishment was Spellbinders Architectural Accents, flowers, leaves and pearls.

Actually glad to hear about your mishap, not because I´m vengous in any way, but because it kind of make you more human, that you do the same stupid mistakes, that we all do now and then ha ha ha, and that gives me hope too ha ha ha.ReplyCancel

    Hello Becca,
This is so beautiful and elegant. You give me such good ideas just looking at your cards.
I’m so pleased to see that you can do the sort of thing that I do. Do you also start off with a large clear desk, and end up crafting in a 5 or 6 inch square?
Yes, every day I do that, and as for the craft fairy who whisks away what I have just had in my hand one second before, and then I can’t find it. Grrrr

What a beautiful card Becca. Thank you for sharing your mishap with us. I am always doing daft things at the last minute with my cards so butterflies and flowers really come into their own then! Usually with me it is a bit of stray glue or I have a bit of stray ink on my crafting mat. It is so frustrating. Your card looks perfect to me though. xReplyCancel

Easter Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using Waltzingmouse Easter Die and Spellbinder Heirloom Oval - www.amazingpapergrace.com
Hi there friends!  Today is release day 3 for Waltzingmouse Stamps.   Over the past couple of days we’ve been introducing new stamp sets and new die – today I’m using the Half Tone Set and the Easter Word Die.  You can see all the new sets for this release in full  HERE  :-)   Today I created an easter card using the Easter Word Die that I cut into the top oval panel of my card.  My card measures 6-1/4″ wide and 5″ tall.  On top of my card base I added and embossed background using  Spellbinders Framed Canvas.  On top I added   Spellbinders Heirloom Oval  and then the two smallest dies from Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles.  I finished up with some multicolor spring flowers and a bow.

Next up is a tag using the Halftone Background – I chose the heart.  It adds interesting texture to the background that I embossed with gold embossing powder.  For my tag I used Spellbinders 5 x 7 Mystical Embrace and simply cut around the edges leaving the inside rectangle.  I handcut the gold which makes the upper part of the tag and peeks out from underneath the base rectangle.  For the top part of the tag I used Spellbinders Victorian Tags that I folded over the top and hole punched to accommodate my ribbon.  After stamping I added a filigree heart from Spellbinders Flutter Love.  I made three flowers using Spellbinders Urban Blooms.  To match the remainder of the tag I cut the leaves from gold.

Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using Waltzingmouse Stamps Kaboom and Spellbinders - www.amazingpapergrace.com
Hi there friends!  Today is release day 2 for Waltzingmouse Stamps.   Several new sets have been added to the mix and all of the sets can be seen in full  HERE  :-)   I have a couple more projects to share today.  The first is a pull up card made using the cute comic book style set call Kaboom.   On my pull up card, when you open the flap, a panel in the card raises to reveal the sentiment.    First off, let me say that “Bam” is an expression that is overused in my house in conversation.    I thought it fitting to use that expression in my card and I have to admit that even though my project is dressy, I’m using the sentiment to kind of poke fun.  I intend to send it to my daughter – she’ll get a kick out of it.
Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using Waltzingmouse Stamps Kaboom and Spellbinders - www.amazingpapergrace.com
My card measures 6-1/4″ tall  x 5-1/4″ wide.  I went for a tone on tone look  and was surprised at how quickly it all came together.  I used Spellbinders Roman Romance to emboss the front part of my card.  I also used the large oval from Spellbinders A2 Filigree Delight, Spellbinders Victorian Corners and Spellbinders A2 Curved Borders Two for the top flap.

SUPPLIES I USED
Stamps Waltzingmouse Stamps – Kaboom
Paper: Neenah Classic Crest, Natural White, Smooth 80 lb Cardstock
Ink: Versamark and gold embossing powder
Accessories: Spellbinders Roman Romance, Spellbinders A2 Filigree Delight, Spellbinders Victorian Corners and Spellbinders A2 Curved Borders Two , May Arts Silk Ribbon, Buttons

Next up is a small card using the the Kaboom Set and the Kaboom die template.  For this superhero graphic style I repeated the world three times on my card and added a sentiment!
