It was not intentional to fall off the face of the earth for the past 10 days but after my last post I flew to CHA in California, got to see the debut of my new dies in the Spellbinders Booth, spent time with wonderful friends, and came home sick as a dog! I haven’t had a cold or whatever this is in about 10 years and this one really brought me to my knees – I think I would have rather had surgery!
Let’s Catch Up
So, the New Year started off with several giveaways and several winners. This coming week I’ll be sending out prizes to the winners. Thanks so much for participating and remember I like to reward every type of media from YouTube, Email, Pinterest and Instragram so please subscribe in each area if you can – hopefully soon I can share more prizes!
Thank You! I was absolutely blown away by the response to my new dies over on the Spellbinders Blog. Before they changed over to their new website I think more than 500 of you had left kind, kind words. Oh yeah, did you know that Spellbinders has spiffed up their website? There was a contest going on over there as well and the post has been updated to include the winner – HERE.
Just in case you you didn’t see my project shown over there, here’s another little look. I designed the die to use as a pocket but of course dreamed of other ways to make it useful to you and this was one way I saw it, as a basket. Give me a day to two to get back on my feet and I have another video coming, pinky promise :-)
So sorry to hear, that you came back soo sick, but unfortunately that´s what we hear from everywhere these days, I´m afraid. But I sure wish you a very speedy recovery hun and hope, that you´ll soon be all back on your feets again.
The little basket here are just too cute and exactly what I had in mind when you asked us about other oprions earlier. It´s sooo gorgeous and in your usual lovely and romantic style.Have a wonderful week-end everyone and hopefully some time to play too. Can´t wait to see more of your lovely work too Becca.ReplyCancel

Hi Becca,
so sorry to hear that you, too, caught the bug with many other people over here in England, too. Thankfully, I’ve not but my sympathies are with you.
Lovely cards/basket – you are truly talented and so kind to share with us.

Good morning Becca,
i am so sorry that you have been floored with illness after what must have been a exhilarating time at the CHA for you. I am not surprised in the response that you got to your beautiful dies as i just had to order them, they came 2 days ago and they are sooooo preeeetttttyyyy. I had thought that the pocket one could make the lovely acetate box that you made a long time ago with you corner dies that you created for Justrite. Get well soon flower and i look forward to your next post and video.
Love and crafty hugs

Hi Becca,
Get well soon, we’ve got the bug over here in the UK, in fact I had it before Christmas, but was over it in time for the visit by the big fellow with the white hair and beard!!
I’m not surprised that these dies were a big hit, they are so beautiful.
Take care, stay safe and warm xxReplyCancel
Clare WJanuary 17, 2015 - 5:24 am
Sorry to hear you have been poorly – I also have had this cold/virus thing – for about 3 weeks – it laid me flat just before Christmas – the worst cold I think I’ve ever had – I say cold not flu as I always say it’s not flu if you can get out of bed! I am a pretty hardy sould I like to think but this was probably the worst cold I’ve ever had so I know how you must have felt – I didn’t wear any make up for 2 weeks and that’s not me at all! Anyway just got a silly cough left which seems to be agravated by cold or damp weather – we are in for a cold spell here next week so I’ll be at home crafting in the warm – Love your dies – they are on my wish list – think they will be popular in the UK – bet CHA was wonderful – I’d love to go one day – look after yourself and wishing you a speedy recovery –ReplyCancel

Sorry to hear you came back sick from CHA. I hope you recover quickly. Over the years of following your work Becca I am forever amazed at the cards that you produce, always stunning, and the inspiration you give to the many, many, people that follow your work.
The Arched Elegance and Pocket are devine and I want, want, want,, to buy them, but the big question is, When will they be available to the crafty girls in Australia? New products always seem to take forever to get here.
We aren’t really that far away and our first big Craft Fair in Sydney is the first week in March. What are the chances?
Becca,
I am sure by now you are back “good as new.” Hope so, but be very careful and get plenty of rest so you don’t get a relapse.
So happy for your new designation and for the wonderful work that you do. It is totally “amazing.” Will be ordering the new dies very soon.
Hope your 2015 will be productive as usual.
Oh, I made a card for my sister-in-law’s birthday and did a double bow, larger on the bottom and little smaller on top and it turned out the best I ever made. Actually looked like a “Becca Bow!!!!” Thanks for all your help!

Oh boy, today is the day! I have some very exciting news to share! I’m celebrating in two places, so the second you’re done here, hop over to the Spellbinders Blog to see another project I’ve created to celebrate! I am so excited to be debuting new dies for Spellbinders in anticipation of the Winter 2015 Craft and Hobby Association Trade Show. I join you today as the newest Spellbinders Licensed Designer and am thrilled to be bringing everything you know and love about Spellbinders and Amazing Paper Grace together in new dies.
I’m so very grateful to Stacey Caron and the Spellbinders staff for allowing me to bring the dies I dream about to life. I’m told that people ask Spellbinders what new dies I have coming all the time, so thank youso much for your support! Today, mischief doesn’t even describe what we’re doing! We are sneakily pulling two dies out of this collection to give you a sneak peek before anyone else – yep, they haven’t been seen before. Stay with me to the end of the post and you will have a chance to win these two die sets by entering the contest at the bottom of this post. In the meantime, please welcome:
S4-503 – Arched Elegance Pocket
and S4-504 Arched Elegance
Over the years, some of my favorite cards shown on my blog, have been pocket cards! To make that endeavor easy, I created Arched Elegance and Arched Elegance Pocket. You’ll be so tickled when you see how many occasions these dies will take you through as well as how many ways they can be used – I can’t wait to share all my ideas over the coming months. For today, I’ve made a project with an unconventional use – a Custom Gift Box and Note Card Set. The box for the set is created using the Pocket upside down as part of the lid!!
The decorative flap on the note card plays into the design and adds just a little bit extra in the presentation when allowed to overhang to the outside. But no worries, in the background you can see what it looks like with the decorative flap tucked inside the box – the choice is yours.
On the inside of each card is a liner sheet with the same Arched Elegance Motif echoed on the bottom – it’s the hallmark of elegant stationary and it’s such easy touch to accomplish with the inlaid die.
I’ve created a video to take you through making this Gift Card Set – step-by-step. Want to see what both sets of dies look like? Click the YouTube play button and you’ll see them within the first minute. This is my first video in more than a year and a half and I’d be honored if you subscribed to my channel – I have lots of ideas waiting in the wings!

Count me as one of the many that asked Spellbinders when you would have more dies out! You should also receive a healthy commission (or total credit at the very least) for ALL of the Spellbinders I have purchased because of your beautiful designs! A fact I mention to every Spellbinders rep I meet! Congratulations to a very talented Lady! This box project is definitely on my “to do” list!

Good morning Becca and all crafters, what a fabulous 2 dies you have created, no wonder you have been so excited about them, they are exquisite. When I first looked at them I thought of a world globe and travel I don’t know why. I also thought of a peacock with the corner as a base for all the feathers in different layered colours coming out of it. Or even cutting it down slightly to create a fan effect. I am not very good at designing but you give all of us so much inspiration.
Becca I keep trying to get the notifications from you but I can’t remember my password so I asked for a new one to be sent to me but it doesn’t come through, I don’t know how to fix this, have you got any ideas.
I would love to have come to Arnheim to see the show but alas I am just a humble crafter however, I do have a wonderful supplier in the UK called Oyster Stamps with Tracey and Graham Holt so bring so many ideas etc. back to us. Have a great show.
Have a great Wednesday everyone, stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs June Smith (UK) xxxReplyCancel

Hi Becca,
so sorry to hear that you, too, caught the bug with many other people over here in England, too. Thankfully, I’ve not but my sympathies are with you.
Lovely cards/basket – you are truly talented and so kind to share with us.
Hugs, Rose
Get well soon!
Hi Becca, Sorry to hear that you have been ill, I hope that you are on the mend now!! Your basket looks really pretty, I love the white look with a little hint of colour. Cheers from down under.
Norah (Glenochil Village, Scotland)
Hi Becca,
Get well soon, we’ve got the bug over here in the UK, in fact I had it before Christmas, but was over it in time for the visit by the big fellow with the white hair and beard!!
I’m not surprised that these dies were a big hit, they are so beautiful.
Take care, stay safe and warm xx
Sorry to hear you have been poorly – I also have had this cold/virus thing – for about 3 weeks – it laid me flat just before Christmas – the worst cold I think I’ve ever had – I say cold not flu as I always say it’s not flu if you can get out of bed! I am a pretty hardy sould I like to think but this was probably the worst cold I’ve ever had so I know how you must have felt – I didn’t wear any make up for 2 weeks and that’s not me at all! Anyway just got a silly cough left which seems to be agravated by cold or damp weather – we are in for a cold spell here next week so I’ll be at home crafting in the warm – Love your dies – they are on my wish list – think they will be popular in the UK – bet CHA was wonderful – I’d love to go one day – look after yourself and wishing you a speedy recovery –
Sorry to hear that you have been sooo unwell. Glad that you are on the mend, wishing you good health and creativeness. Love the basket.
Sending wishes all the way from Wellington Australia :)
So, so sorry to hear you are not feeling well. Prayers are going up for a mighty healing. I ‘m in love with your new dies and can’t wait to play with them! Be blessed my friend!

Becca,
You take your time, I’m in CA, and all my friends have “what ever it is,” which is knocking them on their…well you know. Just take care of yourself because it will come back with a vengeance. Loved your project on Spellbinders, not so sure I like the new website…it’s way too busy for my taste. So glad to hear you went to CHA, it is an amazing show, and so fun because you get to see the new products before it goes out to market. Looking forward to more of your videos. Be well.
So sad to hear you got sick after CHA. I bet that place was just a breeding ground for the flu germs. Here’s a tip: Next year get the flu shot. I has helped me! Wish I could send you my homemade chicken soup, as it is just delightful. Well, Congrats on your new releases. I look forward to more of you fantastic cards in 2015. God Bless.
Please take care of yourself! I know what you went through…. we need you back up and creating :)
Oh Becca! You were missed!!! So glad you are feeling better! It is so hard when you are sick. You don’t feel like doing anything. Love the basket! As soon as I can order the dies I want too. Such an enabler you are!!!????????????????Love it!

Hi Becca! So sorry you were ill after CHA. That’s no fun at all.
I also was at CHA & happened to run into Suzanne Cannon. She told me you were there, so I am sorry I missed the chance to say hi. Not that you would know who I was. Lol!
Hope you are now well on your way to recovering & feeling better.
Love your dies, as always!
Hi Becca, hope you will soon be back to being well again. I would give anything if I could go to CHA sometime, but as it is not open to the public, I guess that will never happen. I will need to live vicariously through all of the amazing blogs that post from it each time.
Praying you recover quickly. That flu is nasty.

Your cards and projects are fantastic. I ended 2014 by picking your blog up again I had been an off/off viewer 2008 then wondered away. However, the last months of 2014 I went back and reviewed all your entries since 2008 up to present, yes all of them. So I am all caught up 2015. Hope you stay healthy from now on – as I greatly miss your entries and inspiration.

Hi Becca,
Hope you are feeling better. I can’t find your new dies listed on the Spellbinders list where you can shop. Have they not been released yet?
Thanks
Hi Becca. I love these beautiful creations using your gorgeous dies. Absolutely stunning! Hope you’re feeling much better. Hugs xx
Kindest Regards
Barbara B.
Becca,
I am sure by now you are back “good as new.” Hope so, but be very careful and get plenty of rest so you don’t get a relapse.
