Well Hello, March!!  You’re a sight for sore eyes!  I’m so happy to see that Spring is on the way – it means pops of colors, unabashed use of pastels and Easter Eggs and bunnies.   Today I’m revealing a new Die of the Month and it’s a fun one.  Say hello to the Amazing Paper Grace March 2021 Die of the Month – Mini 3D Vignette Floral Mason Jar.  This is a fun set of dies and it features a cheery bouquet as well as lovely dimension and folds flat like all of the 3D Vignettes.

Inspiration for Mini 3D Vignette Floral Mason Jar

My love of Mason Jars was my inspiration for this die set.  I designed it to have an aperture because I thought it would be lovely to see the stems through the jar.  Can you imagine all of the things you can use to fill it up?  There are three different dimensional flowers to put together.  It’s a bit of a different take on the flowers because they are from a side perspective.

Today on the inspiration video, I’ll show you how to make a stand-up but fold flat Mason Jar filled with dimensional flowers.  I’ll show how to layer the flowers and how the jar goes together as well.

I hope you like the video tutorial. Please subscribe to the Amazing Paper Grace YouTube Channel!

For my first jar sample, I decided to create a die-cut aperture in the jar but it’s just as easy to leave it solid.  I cut it from an icy mint paper and touched it up with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink along the bottom to darken the edge and give it an ombre shading.  The aperture is covered with clear acetate to close things in.

Added to the Die of the Month Set is a lovely filigree lace element to help gather a bouquet.  There are holes for brads on each side.  Once the lace is in place, it’s very easy to tuck all of your stems in and create a flat bouquet!!

No worries about where to put the sentiment – I added a sweet stitched tag so that a sentiment can hang off of the lid or off of the filigree that cinches the bouquet.

As always, I love the effect of having a box or a basket that can be used as a favor.  This is an easy venture because all you need to do is add one or two jars to bookend your box or basket.  And as you can see, the filigree lace is a perfect adornment for the handle.

Introducing Amazing Paper Grace Collection - Make a Scene - more details at www.amazingpapergrace.com/?p=36894
Hi crafty friends!  This collection has been a long time coming.  I’m so tickled to finally be introducing you to a new Amazing Paper Grace Collection that I designed  called Make A Scene!!!  This collection is my heart . . . A long time went into nurturing it and now it’s ready to be shown.  It’s both clean and simple and at the same time can be dressed up as elegant – beyond that, it’s a lot of fun.  I hope you like it!

WHAT IS MAKE A SCENE?

Make A Scene is an interactive card collection and a flat card collection, all in one – you choose based on your style.

The interactive portion is made with a card base that folds in six different layered scenery options.  The 3D card base folds flat but slides open to reveal a dimensional scene.  Since it has a 3D profile, the opened card makes quite a splash and can be set out on a desk for showing off.  The card base is huge and it offers you the chance to snag one of five scenes that cover many occasions.  If the five scenes are not your occasion du jour, then by all means dive into your huge stash of dies and insert your own contents.

The flat card portion is made with the individual scenes.  Each of the components for the scenes can be die cut onto the top of a panel and used on a flat card or as part of a 3D Vignette or as part of a shadowbox scene.

Today we are prepared to show you – each Creative Team Member has created both a 3D Card and a Flat Card so that you can see the best of both worlds!

My Projects for Today

Here are the dies I’m using:
S6-165 Make a Scene Card Base

Over the last many months when testing these dies, I’ve cut them many times and have stacks of cream die cuts to play with.  I decided to use some of the many die cuts I already had cut to make my cards for today.  Although the dies can be both casual and dressy, I did my best to take a whimsical element and show it in an elegant light.  I’m tickled how easily the elements flip from simple to elegant.

Today you get an interactive card and the same elements as a flat card.  Such a fun way to play with the dies!

Here is my flat card:

Designers Tip:  These elements are begging for heavy cardstock, especially for the Make A Scene Card Base.

How to Assemble:
When you see the card base it will make total sense how this goes together.  Here is a quick start video to lay it all out for you.

I’m so tickled today to be participating in the February 2021 Spellbinders Clubs Blog Hop with a list of fabulous bloggers.  It’s our opportunity to showcase the Spellbinders February Clubs and I have another project to share with you using Bella Diamante which is the Amazing Paper Grace February 2021 Die of the Month.

It’s no secret that I just can’t get enough of the Bella Diamante die set – it was a pure joy to design this die!  The ideas have just flooded through my mind, so today I’m sharing an ensemble.  You know how I love ensembles!  After getting the card made, the die cut pieces of the ensemble come easy – the box is always the easiest and is a great place to show off a pretty die.

This goes in the giving pile for a friend of mine who has a fast-approaching birthday.  I love nothing better than sweetly dragging friends and loved ones into my philosophy about “handwritten cards”.  Having said that, one of my favorite gifts to give are note cards – I make them every opportunity  I can.  In the decorated gift box I put four sweet little 4″ x 4″ cards.  It takes about 2 minutes to put these little cards together and it is exactly what I’m always looking for to send off a note to a friend or a reader or the mailman.

These small cards are a great way to show off “handmade” with a smaller investment of time. Moreover, giving an entire set of them speaks volumes and invites someone else to offer something handwritten.

Hello Becca. Thanks for continuing with your crusade to bring back communication via cards and letters. I believe it is especially important during the times in which we are living. Most days now, I do not have much to write, so the smaller note cards will be just perfect to keep in touch. Also, I love your idea of giving them as gifts. They can be gentle reminders to friends and family that I’d like to hear just a line or two from them once in a while! :) Be safe and healthy during these times. Thanks for inspiring all of us as we try to keep busy. Love, ConnieReplyCancel
