Hi friends, it’s not very often that I have something that I term a masculine card to share — today I do. In fact, this is a simple go to card that I can do at any time just to say thanks. I chose a new stamp by Quietfire Design that has a calligraphy ‘Thanks’, but the ‘t’ is hollowed out, hence the name Fill ‘Er Up ‘T‘ . I thought it would be an excellent opportunity to fill it with some texture and also use the texture as a background so I picked a small pattern in Spellbinders So Trendy embossing folder – Side B. I cut out the hollow part of the ‘t’ but it would have been just as easy to cut it out and simply pop it on top.
Here’s how I made it – step by step:
I started out with a 4-7/8″ x 6″. Using a Krylon pen, I edged a panel cut to 4-1/4″ x 5-3/8″ and embossed a panel using So Trendy Embossing Folder cut to just under the same size. I added the top part of Spellbinders 5 x 7 Heirloom Legacy to the top of the panel before adhering with a double layer of foam tape. Next I added a die cut layer using Spellbinders Decorative Labels Thirty Four – adhered with foam tape and finished with my sentiment stamped on a die cut layer using Spellbinders Labels Thirty Four, rimmed with Gold Krylon Pen, adhered with foam tape.
Come see me tomorrow. I’ve been promising to show you the area that I store my dies in and I finally got pictures!! Also, I’m kicking off a new Blog Candy for clear cases!
Hey there friends! I hope you had a beautiful Mothers Day! I had a card to upload yesterday but the events of the day had me wrapped up in some sweet distractions. I’m back today with another Quietfire Design card! I flat out love the new sentiments and the one I’m using today is from the If You Don’t Believe in Miracles set. Trust me, it will grace many cards in the future, and of course, I believe in miracles :-)
Here’s how I made it – step by step:
Starting out with a card base 5-1/8″x 6-1/2″, I added a panel from cream cut to 4-1/2″ x 5-5/8″. Behind my panel at the top I put Spellbinders A2 Scalloped Borders One then this layer was adhered to base with foam tape. I added a new panel from digital paper, stamped on and cut to 4″ x 5-1/4″. Next I added a panel cut with Spellbinders A2 Divine Eloquence and Spellbinders Labels 28 at the same time. Before taking the paper out of the die I smudged pink ink between the two dies to create a border. Then I cut Spellbinders Rose Medallion and wrapped it around my focal panel then this layer was adhered to base with two layers of foam tape. I finished with a grosgrain bow and some pearls.
Have a great week, sweeties! I’ll see you soon!
Hi there friends, I’m tickled to share one of the new Quietfire Design stamps I received last week. I rarely buy wood mounted stamps any more because I just don’t have the room to store them but I do like rubber cling – *a lot*. If it is just red rubber, I simply put some double sided tape on my clear block to hold the stamp in place but I really, really like red rubber mounted to cling foam. All that to say when I got my goodies in the mail I literally squealed when I saw that the stamps were mounted on the gray foam. This week I’ve been playing and there are so many feel good sentiments in the seven new sets Quietfire is offering – I went straight to the If You Don’t Believe in Miracles set.
Here’s how I made it – step by step:
Starting out with a cardbase 5-1/2″x 7-1/4″, I added a panel from Kraft cut to 5-1/8″ x 6-1/2″ and a mat from cream cut to 5″ x 6-3/8″, adhered to base with foam tape. I added a new panel from kraft cut to 4-5/8″ x 5-3/4″ and a mat from cream cut to 4-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ and embossed with Spellbinders Infinity. I took a die cut of Spellbinders Adorning Labels Twenty Five and Spellbinders Labels Twenty Five and scored it in half lengthwise and straddled it across my panel before attaching with foam tape. Next I added a series of three ovals, Spellbinders Elegant Ovals, Spellbinders Floral Ovals and Spellbinders Classic Ovals SM with the stamped sentiment on the latter. I finished off with the curly flourish from Spellbinders Jewel Flowers and Flourishes. I added a bow, a pearl pin and three flat four petal flowers.
I just love the sentiment, how uplifting! Who doesn’t need this sweet reminder every now and again?

Gorgeous card, love the way the background shows through the sentiment.
Good morning Becca,
I really like this card and sentiment. I’d fill the T with Zentangle, it would look fabulous, and leave the ribbon off for the men in my life – they would not appreciate it – but I’d use either string or straw! I’m off now to try my version!! xx
Hi Becca,
This is so lovely, love the stamp, you can make this look so different every time.
I would love if you could put on your blog where we can buy these stamps from and all the words/verses you post, they are always so different and perfect.
Love & Hugs

Oh Becca-
Another beautiful card! Yellow/gold is not my go-to color but your gorgeous card my well make me a little braver… Thank you for sharing!!
Don’t do much stamping but I’m being tempted to get this one. It’s fab. As is the card!
Hi Becca,
great card – I would send that to any gender.
Hugs, Rose
Hi Becca,
Have been really interested in all the storage for dies as it is a problem! As you so rightly say easy accessibility is the main thing while protecting the dies. As I live in the UK will not get involved in the Competition. Will search for a similar solution here – if such a thing exists. Folders become much too heavy!
Today’s card is so different for you but I really like it and the gold is such a nice change. I use cream ribbon but never gold – you got me thinking!
Thanks so much,
Love,
Myra
Absolutely beautiful.
Becca, I learn so much from you. With you sharing your craft storage, it makes it so much easier to focus on organizing my craft room.
As always, you are so inspiring, thank you.
Thank you for introducing me to Quietfire Design. They have several sayings that I like! I used one on my grandmothers birthday card this year. Quite an accomplishment to find a sentiment I think she will like.
I love Quietfire Design’s stamps! They are so pretty! Love the idea of using texture to Fill ‘er up! TFS!
