Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using Quietfire Design and Spellbimders Majestic Labels One
Hiya Friends!  Jumping in to share a card after being MIA for a bit.  April is passing so quickly but since the last time I was here, the flu bug, spring fever, cleaning (everything), conquering clutter and some home renovations we’re all vying for my attention.  I surrender – with the exception of the flu bug I had, I loved the change of pace and have a couple of ‘wins’ to my credit.   I’m sharing a card today using a sweet sentiment from Quietfire Design called A Smile That You Send Out  I used Spellbinders Antique Corner to create filigree accents on two corners of my card.  Then I threaded some satin ribbon on the diagonal and embellished it with a bow then nestled Spellbinders Majestic Labels One in the center.   A couple of pearls to finish it all off!WRBF-4253-2014

Card Dimensions: 6″ x 6″

CRAFT SUPPLIES I USED

Loving every second I get to spend outdoors right now!  I hope you are savoring spring too!

Love this – it’s a must try! so eye catching and love the diagonal ribbon. I met Sue Wilson at Ally Pally in London on Saturday and we chatted about you and your amazing bows – were your ears burning? – I am trying to find your bowmaker and DVD here in the UK – I’ve tracked down the UK supplier but they dont have any and dont know when they will be getting any more – boohoo – please can you shed any light on this? Yesterday I tied my first tripple using organza ribbbon – it’s’ not perfect (like yours are) but I think with a bit more practice and attention to detail I could get there or at least something passable! Happy easter and hope you are feeling much better – the flu bug can take quite a while to fully recover from – so take it easy for a while – ha!ReplyCancel

DIY Earring Holder Project by Becca Feeken using Spellbinders Heirloom Legacy
Hi there sweet friends!  Thank you for requesting a tutorial on the earring holder I shared on March 30th, I’m happy to oblige!!
WRBF-4250-2014
I love DIY and after doing this project I’m reminded not to be so stubborn in getting out my tools to make a great gift.  I have to ‘make’ myself paint things, but once done I realize it’s no more involved than coloring seam binding.  Yes, my friends and family love getting cards and such, but to change up and give them a decorative gift or even better – a functional gift – well, that’s a welcome change.  This is an easy project – no great mechanical skills are necessary or I would not have been able to do it either :-) Let’s get started!   (By the way, if you want to pin the tutorial in it’s entirety, that pin is HERE).

This is so beautiful Becca, thanks sooo much for sharing this tutorial on this great project here. And yes family and friends just really loves to get “different gifts” from us too, I think. I´ve had a thing for beautiful baskets and boxes for a few years now, and my family always speculate, what I´ll have made this time , so I´m always on the look for beautiful and new ideas to makae for them, so it wount be the same every year LOL. And this is a really beautiful and perfect idea, especially for all those teenager girls we have in the family, they´re going to love this idea, I´m sure.ReplyCancel

Congratulation Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken Using Justrite Congrats Vintage Labels and Spellbinders Labels Thirty Two
Hiya friends!  I thought I would bring some color into the world today.  I came upon a pearlescent pad of paper in my stash and combined several colors with a stunning pattern from K & Company.  It was a wonderful palette to use the new JustRite Stitched Circles Background.  I used it in a subtle way to add texture to my design paper.  Because the design on the stamp is so airy, this will be a fabulous one to layer over top of so many things with not too much risk of it becoming busy.  Digging through my stash, I found a silver pearl embossing powder from a long gone stamp company – but I’m sure someone makes an up to date version.
WRBF-4233-2014
Along with the gorgeous medallion stamp from the Congrats Vintage Labels Three and Seven Set , there are quite a few large sentiments – I picked ‘congrats”.  The medallion is cut using Spellbinders Labels Thirty Two and the sentiment is stamped on Vintage Labels Seven.

You Can Make This Card Too:  Start out with a cream hinged card base sized 6″ x 7-1/2″.  Here are the rest of the layers from the bottom up.  Pumpkin panel cut to 5-3/8″ x 6-5/8″ – adhere to card base using foam tape.  Matted panel from gold cut to 4-7/8″ x 6-1/8″ and stamped design paper cut to 4-3/4″ x 6″.  Add lace and satin ribbon.  Using largest die cut from Labels Thirty Two, stamp and heat emboss medallion – adhere to base using foam tape.  Add die cut layer using Vintage Labels Seven stamped with sentiment – adhere to base using foam tape.  Add bow in lower left of Labels Thirty two die.  Embellish with pearls and add stick pin.

CRAFT SUPPLIES I USED
Rubber Stamps: JustRite Papercraft – JustRite Stitched Circles BackgroundCongrats Vintage Labels Three and Seven
Craft Paper: The Paper Studio – Pearlescent, K and Company
Ink: Versamark and Silver Pearl Embossing Powder
Accessories:Vintage Labels SevenSpellbinders Labels Thirty Two, The Paper Studio Pearls, Paper Source Satin Ribbon – Gold, Silver Pearl Embossing Powder, Mulberry Roses, Triple Pearl Pin – Maya Roads, Lace, Grand Calibur Die Cut Machine

    Hi Becca,
This doesn’t have the normal Becca look to it, probably because it is not a color you use very often — but I really like it.
Just came back from a Craft Surplus Sale – sold a lot of stuff in anticipation of enclosing of my front screened porch into a glassed in “CRAFT ROOM” for me!! So very anxious, supposed to start on it Monday. So going through all of my stash, decided to get rid of a lot of stuff I haven’t used and probably won’t so it was off to another good home. Will be sure and send you a pic when it is completed.
    Hugs,
    Mstgane
