WRBF-4134-2014
Hi there friends.  Today is Day 3 of JustRite Papercraft February 2014 releases.  The set we’re showing today is Rose Postcard Cling Background – pretty and vintage!  I colored it in with distress inks like watercolors and layered it behind S Spellbinders Majestic Labels Twenty Five.  Simple as that!  The background really does all the work, the only thing for me to do was mount it :-)

Love your work, as always. I groaned when I saw the dimensions on the postcard rose stamp – really? 1/4 inch larger than an A2 card??? arrrrggghhhh!

Seriously, though – would you mind posting the finished sizes of your cards? That way, if i want to vary what I see, I have na idea of dimension…thanks!

I just have to spit it out….your cards surprise me each day a new one comes up. They are all so pretty and colorful and gorgeous. How do you come up with the ribbon that matches the paper perfectly each time? This blue is is hard to find. Maybe sometime you could share with us how you shop for your cards…what comes first, like the color of paper then the ribbon etc. I am always digging for a substitute to match which is just fine, but would love to figure out how to not have to scurry out for supplies when new ideas come up. Preparation Tutorial…that’s what we need! Thanks Becca for helping us all become better at our love of cardmaking!ReplyCancel

Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using JustRite Papercrafts Hydrangea Vintage Labels Seven and 2014 Spellbinders Elegant Ovals Hi friends, I’m back for Day 2 of JustRite Papercrafts February Release.  I was in the mood for a card more shabby that I normally do so I picked aged, vintage pages and tattered my edges a little bit :-).  The stamp set I’m using is Hydrangea Vintage Labels Seven and I combined it with the Vintage Labels Seven Die paired up with Spellbinders Elegant Ovals and Spellbinders 5 x 7 Elegant Labels Four.  WRBF-4133-2014
The sentiment is so pretty.  I dabbled over the flowers with Copic Markers and although it’s a hydrangea, I decided to go with peach.  Actually there are peach colored hydrangeas but the wonderful thing about this craft is that you can make things any color your heart desires :-)

Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using JustRite Diamond Filigree and Happy Occasions Belly Band Two
Hi there friends!  Today I’m sharing two different cards. I’m participating in a hop to showcase new releases for JustRite Papercrafts and today we’re using two of my new sets which are Diamond Filigree Background and Happy Occasion Belly Band Two  (the Happy Occasion set is a mix and match set that covers Family and Friends and even includes Grandparents :-)   This set matches a new die called Spellbinders Belly Band Two.  I just love how the belly band works – it’s perfect for stamped backgrounds because you can slip your stamped sheet right behind the band and it provides a nice layered look.   The belly band cuts out the band partially leaving the edges intact so that you kind of have a sleeve to layer papers though.   For the first card along with the Belly Bands die I’m using Spellbinders A2 Divine Eloquence and Spellbinders 5 x 7 Detailed Scallops.

WRBF-4131-2014

This is the simple stamped inside of the card.

WRBF-4019-2013
For this next card I used Diamond Filigree Background; it is held in place by Spellbinders Belly Band Two.  In front of the background I slipped Spellbinders Radiant Rectangles.  I love it, it gives you an excellent place to nestle a sentiment!!

    Good morning Becca,
I love both cards and i really like how you do the narrowest of colour layers giving just that hint of the colour as it just makes it for me an elegant card. I think the lilac one would have just a tad edge on the jade only because the lilac is so soft looking. Beautiful cards yet again Becca, thank you for sharing with us again.
    Love and crafty hugs
