Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using Quietfire Design - This Heart Longing For You and 2014 Spellbinders 5 x 7 Reflective Moments

Hi there blog friends!  Today I have a romantic card – the sentiment really speaks to me; it’s simply how I feel.  Chalk it up to another amazing sentiment from Suzanne with Quietfire Design – I don’t know how she does it, but she always does.  Now you know I’m not a scrapbooker normally, but I will make a page with this one.   The sentiment is from the new Quietfire Valentine set called This Heart Longing for You.   Just so you know, I think this goes way beyond Valentines Day.  I would definitely use it for Valentines, When You’re Apart, In Memory, Anniversary.  Another treat – another new Spellbinders die template just added to the site; this one is called Spellbinders 5 x 7 Reflective Moment.  I cut the frame using Spellbinders Matting Basics A and added a flourish to the top using Spellbinders Gold Corbel and Accents.

    Wow Becca, that is a hard to find sentiment. So profound and honest! I was born in Brazil, I’m daughter of a honduran doctor (RIP) and a brazilian model, LOL, what a combo! But what I’m trying to say is, we moved far away from my big brazilian family, and now that’s all I feel, what that sentiment says… And how great, new dies!!! I’m loving this year’s releases, they are so intricate and classic! Love!!!

Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using Waltzingmouse Stamps - Tying the Knot
Hi there sweet friends!  Thanks so much for letting me share about Bailey.  It makes my heart just melt to know how many animal lovers are out there.  Since I’ve been sooooo very long winded the last few days, this is a short one :-)   This is a simple card I’m sharing over on the Waltzingmouse Inspiration Blog.  As is often the case, creativity follows true life and I create as I have occasion in real life for cards.  I have a some friends that just got married so I made this card in duplicate, saving one to send out and one for my stash.  Pearls and gems fit perfectly with the rope accents from the Waltzingmouse Stamps set called Tying the Knot.  I simply embossed in silver and fussy cut the knot and mounted it underneath the stamped and embossed sentiment.  It doesn’t get much easier than this to whip up a card for any occasion that comes along!

Valiant Honor Monogrammed Card Set Tutorial by Becca Feeken

    Beautiful set and thank you for your tutorial!! I also want to tell you how touching your story about Bailey was to me. I had a similar dog for 15 years who did all the same things as your Bailey. She passed away shortly before Thanksgiving but we were blessed by her even with her imperfections. Amber, too, became my husband’s bedside companion through cancer and a very successful liver transplant two years ago. She was devoted to us in ways that still amaze us, and yet, she was also skittish around others. She was never aggressive, ever, but she needed to be with us constantly – room to room if need be…We did get a new little girl, Maggie, three weeks later despite being told to wait 6 months. Maggie found me actually one day as I was longing to feel the fur of another dog and a trip to the pet store put her in my sights. I did wait three weeks to be sure but my heart would not let her go and so we begin again… isn’t that the way with all things? Your story was so beautifully told and only reaffirmed that our fur babies do more for us than we often realize. I am so glad your story had a happy ending..in fact, I don’t think it could have ended any other way. xxxReplyCancel

    Since you were the first designer to offer any of the new CHA release dies and this was one of them, I pre-ordered along with a bunch of the other ones. If I win this, I will send to my Sis as I got her addicted to Spellbinders when I visited 2 years ago. This set is so awesome and rather easy as well. Can’t wait until mid March when these come in.
