Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using JustRite Papercraft Sweet Hearts and Spellbinders
Good morning blog friends!!  Hope you are staying warm, seems most of the country is in for some nippy weather!!  I’m good as long as I have socks on – if my feet are warm, then I can craft the day away :-)  Today I’m sharing a lavender friendship card that I finished up…Thanksgiving preparations are calling me though, so this will be a short one.  The sentiment is from a new JustRite Papercraft set called Sweet Hearts.  I pulled a couple of my favorite Spellbinders for my layers on this card including Spellbinders Diamond Effects, Spellbinders Decorative Label Eight, Spellbinders Labels Eighteen, Spellbinders Moroccan Accents and Spellbinders Love Locket. I mused to myself that I don’t reach for lavender near enough – its such a soft pretty color…

Of course I took a second to bling it up with pearls…just feels naked without :-)

Oh Becca your card is not only elegant but ‘eloquent’ – it certainly speaks eloquently to me. What a gifted lady you are and so generous with your ideas, tips and techniques. It’s difficult to grasp the fact that it all started out as a plain sheet of paper, some ribbon and pearls just innocently ‘lolling’ about on your desk!

PS: I love your blog. (I know it’s not apparent!!) Mary xReplyCancel

  • Norah McPheeNovember 27, 2013 - 12:11 pm

    Dear Becca,
OOOOOh i like your beautiful design. It is so pretty and the soft colour of ivory and lilac just compliment each other perfectly. I’m with the earlier comment on giving it that hint of lavender smell would just finish it. This is a definite sight deficient card by the textures going on in it and with the spray, it would just engage they’re other senses up a couple of notches. The sentiment on the front of the card could be brailled on the inside for them to read. The perfect card in always then.
    Love and crafty hugs

Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using JustRite Fashion Vintage Labels Six and Spellbinders
Good morning sweet friends, I thought I’d share a quick card and post with you as I get ready for holiday events.  Normally I reach for lighter colors but I love using kraft and added in a pop of black.  The November releases for JustRite Papercraft include men and womens wear, shoes and habadashery.  I plucked a nice frame and small saying from the Fashion Vintage Labels Six set to say You’ve Got Style.  I layered it up using Spellbinders Timeless Rectangles, Spellbinders Decorative Labels Eight and Spellbinders Floral Ovals – I’ll just bet you have a couple of these in your stash :-)

Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using JustRite Vintage Fashion Labels Six and Spellbinders (closeup)

I’m keeping it short today as I know you probably have pies in the oven and loved ones walking through the door.  Anytime is an occasion for sharing whether you are in the US or abroad but in keeping with the holiday season, I wish you the best as we give thanks for all the blessings in our lives!

Here’s your Step By Step Recap of die cuts and layers, from the bottom up:  Start out with a Card Base  7-1/2? tall by 5-1/2? wide (or see how to make that size with the Hinge Technique HERE) , design paper matting layer cut to 6-3/4″ x 5-1/4″, foam tape, die cut layers using Timeless Rectangles (cut apart to use as a border), foam tape, matting layer from black cut to 6-3/4″ x 3-3/4″, design paper layer cut to 6-3/4″ x 3-5/8″, die cut layer using Decorative Labels Eight, foam tape, die cut layer using kraft paper and duplicate layer in black with middle of oval removed.  As always, cut everything first then stack.  Position ribbon, bling and bow on correct layer, admire, then glue!

CRAFT SUPPLIES I USED
Rubber Stamps: JustRite Papercraft – Fashion Vintage Labels Six
Craft Paper: Bazzill, The Paper Studio – Habadashery
Ink: Amuse – French Roast, Versafine Onyx Black
Accessories: Spellbinders Timeless RectanglesSpellbinders Decorative Labels Eight and Spellbinders Floral Ovals , Recollection Bling, Offray Ribbon, JBH Button, clear embossing powder, Grand Calibur Die Cut Machine

Thanks so much for stopping by, I’ll see you soon!!

Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using JustRite Papercrafts Vintage Shoes Labels Six and Spellbinders
Hi there friends, today I’m sharing some vintage goodness!  This month JustRite Papercraft released a darling set of vintage shoes that make such a nice focal point on a card.  I created my card by using Spellbinders Labels Ten #4, Spellbinders Window Two,  Spellbinders A2 Scalloped Borders One.  I manually cut the shoe because I wanted it to be popped up.  The bouquet of flowers that comes in the stamp set can be stamped alone and is also sized to fit into the shoe, so I cut that out as well and colored with copics.  Quick and simple, that’s it for me today.

Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken using JustRite Papercrafts Vintage Shoes Labels Six and Spellbinders

Here’s your Step By Step Recap of die cuts and layers, from the bottom up:  Start out with a Card Base 6″ x 6″, foam tape, brown matting panel cut to 5-5/8″ x 5-5/8″, layer from design paper cut to 5-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, foam tape, strip cut to 3-1/8″ x 5-1/2″ from brown mat layer and design paper layer cut to 3″ x 5-1/2″ bordered with die cut strips from A2 Scalloped Borders One, die cut layer using Labels 10 bordered by top part of Windows Two.  Foam tape to apply manually cut motif from shoe and flowers.    As always, cut everything first then stack.  Position ribbon, pearls bow on correct layer, admire, then glue!
