WRBF-3990-2013
Hi there blog friends, are you hanging in there?  We’re on to Day 3 of A Waltzingmouse Christmas. Today we’re bringing you Christmas Tags!  Lol, I am definitely the last one to the party….I had a couple of blog problems but no worries, all is repaired.  My tags are all quick and easy, the dies do the heavy lifting.  This week Waltzingmouse Stamps is introducing Jar Fillers Christmas Die Set  so I used them as the focal part of each tag.  The die set matches the shapes found in Candy Jar Christmas – Fillersone of the older sets you may have in your stash, so I used that set to embellish the dies.

WRBF-3991-2013

For each tag I used Spellbinders Labels Seventeen #4 and #5 as a base and used Standard Circles SM to make the hole reinforcer.   From the Jar Fillers set I matched the gingerbread men, candy cane and bow and they were enough to make whimsical focal points for each tag.  I finished them off with Spellbinders Charmed I’m Sure for each of the sentiments.  From Michaels I managed to snag these little glassine bags that already had the candy motif on them.  I decorated a bag to match each tag and the tag fits inside perfectly so that I can use the tag for a quick thought like I would a card or attach it to a package.

Card Making Ideas by Becca Feeken Using Waltzingmouse Stamps Season Flourish and Spellbinders
Hi there blog friends, we’re back for Day 2 of  “A Waltzingmouse Christmas”!  Today we’re sharing Christmas cards for both the new sets and the ones you have in your stash.  Every season I try to make one or two ‘red’ cards, so this is my second of the season, I just love the punch of red.  A little bit outside of my zone, you’ll notice that this one is glit-ter-ray!  My friends will laugh because I don’t normally do glitter — me and glitter, don’t get along – it’s a disaster waiting to happen.  I was in a happy spot with this glitter paper; I think the glitter tide is turning.   I picked one of the elegant new Waltzingmouse Stamps sentiments from Seasonal Flourish.  It’s done on a backdrop of four corner elements from Spellbinders Grand SquaresSpellbinders Corner Flourish and Spellbinders Captivating Squares.  I crafted an envelop from vellum to show off that splash of red and decorated the flap with a glittered Corner Flourish.

Someone will ask, so yes, the card really does fit into the envelope :-)

Here’s your Step By Step Recap of die cuts and layers, from the bottom up:  Start out with a Card Base  5-1/2″ tall by 5-1/2″wide , foam tape, glitter paper layer cut to 5-3/8″ x 5-3/8″, foam tape, white matting layer cut to 4-3/4″ x 4-3/4″, glitter paper layer cut with Grand Squares #2, adhere a corner flourish in each corner, foam tape, white matting layer 3-1/8″ x 3-1/8″, glitter paper layer cut to 3-1/16″ x 3-1/16″, foam tape, die cut layer using Captivating Squares.  As always, stack, position ribbon, bow, pearls and flowers on correct layer, admire then glue! Add a corner flourish to your store bought envelope or one you make for a special custom touch.

    Good morning Becca,
Normally i like the cards with the subtle touch of colour or if it’s a strong colour a hint of it, but you have totally turned that on it’s head today. I must have the same reaction to glitter as yourself namely it always goes everywhere except where it is suppose to go, but the beautiful red glitter paper and its oh so shiny is just so pretty. I love the ornate corner die that you have used as it is so intricate and done in white, set against the red just looks so beautiful. Another winner Becca and a die i don’t have at the moment, but will definitely work on getting.
