A veterans daughter, a veterans sister, a veterans wife . . . this is my legacy and the brave men who allowed me that legacy, I celebrate and remember today. I honor their memory with such pride and thankfulness. In addition, I honor the memory of all the fallen who gave their lives so that we might have freedom and I honor all those who have served. They are your brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers and husbands too – my heartfelt gratitude to them all. I guess it was befitting that the release includes a patriotic set of stamps that I could use to reflect those feelings – honestly I have very few of those types of stamps and it felt wonderful to put these to a good use.

Good morning sweet blog friends! This is my second post of the day, if you want to check out the first, you can get there by this link ——–> HERE or you can scroll down. Also don’t forget, I’m offering some pretty cool blog candy that’s up for grabs until Wednesday, May 29th. Feeling lucky? Click ———>HERE to get to the post where you need to leave a comment or simply scroll back to my post of May 24th. A little coloring, a little smudging, a little hand died ribbon and some vintage paper came together for a birthday card from a new JustRite Papercrafts set called Irises Vintage Labels Four. The card features a custom die template called Vintage Labels Four and pairs it up with some frilly accent dies in Spellbinders® Timeless Rectangles and Spellbinders® Vintage Lace Motifs as well as the pennant from JustRite Vintage Label and Banner Dies.
So to recap the layers I used from the bottom up, I started with a 5-1/2″ x 7″ card base, foam tape (optional), brown matting layer 5″ x 6-5/8″, foam tape (optional), purple matting layer 4-5/8″ x 6-3/8″, design paper layer 4-1/2″ x 6-1/4″, foam tape (optional), Vintage Labels Four in purple (cut in fourths and spread to create matting layer), Vintage Lace Motif accent on four round ends, Vintage Labels Four in design paper, pennant with sentiment, foam tape (optional), Timeless Rectangles, Vintage Labels Four. Attach ribbons and sentiment on appropriate layer.

Welcome to the Waltzingmouse Stamps May Release. This is preview Day 1 and there are two new sets that you’ll get a peek at over the next several days. This is quite a change of pace for me, and a welcome one. As soon as I saw Country Labels Four, I knew I’d be making a gift ensemble and it was as easy as pie. The set has such a country, gingham, home cooking kind of feel that I opted for a gift basket with homemade jam. I stamped the labels in kraft and added them to the jam jar and some pretties for the outside. My chicken wire basket is full of shredded kraft paper and I used corrugated cardboard for the embellishment along with some linen thread and gingham ribbon. Country!
These are the cutest little canning jars! I thought half-pint was about the smallest but yep, there is a four ounce or a half-half-pint :-) They are just big enough that two can fit in a small basket.
I knew there was some reason I was holding on to this mini spoon and fork. They made the perfect embellishment and a place to hang a thank you tag!

Wow….So very pretty. I love the patterned paper with the stars. The rosette is perfect in the center of the stars with the red bling. It is so hard to find patriotic paper in my area. The pearls are gorgeous and I love the placement on the red satin ribbon. Stunning effect. Happy Memorial Day and thank you so much for sharing! Gorgeous!!!!
What a beautiful card – your talent is amazing!
Beautiful card! We’re remembering our loved ones gone before us…our son, my father, our grandparents — and those who died for our freedom. But wanted you to know I think of you often and your losses as well. Sometimes just knowing you’re not forgotten helps us get over those multiple hurdles. God’s blessings to you, always.
What a fabulous card! Love the stars.

I’m with you on the veterans. Without them we would not be the country we are with all of our freedoms. Beautiful card and great job!
Thanks to all who served our country so bravely. Your card is beautiful.
With regard to what tool I have and need to use more often. That would be embellishments and ribbon of which I have LOTS. Your designs also showcase the embellishments and ribbons so beautifully.
Gorgeous, I love it. So pretty and yes they deserve all the praise they can get. My grandfathers and my father were in the navy, my father-in-law, and 2 uncles were in the marines. And they all made it back but some are not as lucky and I wish their families many prayers because today that horrible memory will be with them all day.
love it – very patriotic.
I LOVE it! Absolutely beautiful! You always amaze me.

Love, love this card!!!
Fantastic patriotic card!
your card makes me want to go to a parade. I love your paper choice. I chose red and white geraniums to take to the cemetery this year. Why didn’t I put some blue in there with them?
RE: this contest I would like to win, (can’t figure out how to get my comment in the right place) I also need to learn more about good art design. you can always tell when a professional has made the card,. I hope that rubs off a little from all of the hours I spend on the sites of artists like you, Becca.
What a lovely tribute to the wonderful men and women in the armed forces. There is rarely a day goes by when I don’t think of these brave people dedicated to our way of life. We are so blessed. Beautiful card.
Your card is fabulous. Love the stars with the banner below paying tribute to the USA. I like how you added the pearls to the red ribbon. It added a nice touch.
Very lovely!
I love your super fantastic patriotic card!!!
Such a stunning card. Just adore the Stars & Stripes medallion you created with this set. It seems each time I look at one of your cards I notice a new detail, like the tiny pearls on the embossed background. Thank you.

Such a beautiful card, Becca! I’m the daughter of a veteran, and 8 of my uncles were also in the service. Your colors are so rich and vibrant, and I love the design of the card!
