Waltzingmouse Stamps - USA 1776 - www.amazingpapergrace.com
A veterans daughter, a veterans sister, a veterans wife . . . this is my legacy and the brave men who allowed me that legacy, I celebrate and remember today.   I honor their memory with such pride and thankfulness.  In addition, I honor the memory of all the fallen who gave their lives so that we might have freedom and I honor all those who have served.  They are your brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers and husbands too – my heartfelt gratitude to them all.  I guess it was befitting that the release includes a patriotic set of stamps that I could use to reflect those feelings – honestly I have very few of those types of stamps and it felt wonderful to put these to a good use.

Hope you can spare a moment to visit the other ladies today :-)  I hope this isn’t too somber, but it’s honest — I’m off to the cemetery later to add some flags and say a prayer.  Prayers for all those you are remembering too.

You’re an inspiration to many, just look at how you manage to work two different types of ribbon into the card. One, a regular ribbon, the other a lace! Very cool.

Next, I love how you brighten up your bows by adding something new and different to them. You’ve inspired me to use thin wire to wrap my centers tight, so that I can add fancy brads to my ribbon centers. Thank you for sharing and teaching as you do.

Yummmm! Just viewed your “purple” card and I’m going to have to try to make something similar today ’cause I love it and I seldom use purple. As to what I would like to know more about using… I bought a good sized roll of masking paper at a recent paper craft show and watched the demo several times to get the technique firmly in my mind. I found the roll the other day and wondered, “What is this?” for a few days before remembering anything about it, I remembered it was masking tape but can’t remember the technique! It had to have been pretty cool or I would never have bought it… I have to be very careful at those shows about what I buy. Out of the 10 or so that I wanted, I had to narrow it down to 4 or 5 (your bow maker was one of them… I needed that CD ’cause I always forget how to use the Bow Maker and had no tutorials to refer to anymore!). Guess I’ll go to YouTube today and see what I can find out. Ooops, almost forgot… thanks for the chance to win some goodies!!ReplyCancel

Gorgeous card… you have inspired me to purchase some additional spellbinders. I really could use those cd boxes to house them!!

Although this is not a tool per se…. I would LOVE to learn new paper folds… I am always looking for new ideas in that area.ReplyCancel

Ever since finding your site, I can’t stop making cards!!! Although I do not have all the Spellbinder dies, embossing folders, or JustRite and ODB stamps, I do my best to substitute. I would love for you to do a blog page about how to get more out of my dies than just the standard cut and emboss.ReplyCancel

Waltzingmouse Stamps - Country Labels Four - www.amazingpapergrace.com
Welcome to the Waltzingmouse Stamps  May Release.  This is preview Day 1 and there are two new sets that you’ll get a peek at over the next several days.  This is quite a change of pace for me, and a welcome one.  As soon as I saw Country Labels Four, I knew I’d be making a gift ensemble and it was as easy as pie.  The set has such a country, gingham, home cooking kind of feel that I opted for a gift basket with homemade jam.  I stamped the labels in kraft and added them to the jam jar and some pretties for the outside.  My chicken wire basket is full of shredded kraft paper and I used corrugated cardboard for the embellishment along with some linen thread and gingham ribbon.  Country!

WRBF-3828-2013
These are the cutest little canning jars!   I thought half-pint was about the smallest but yep, there is a four ounce or a half-half-pint :-) They are just big enough that two can fit in a small basket.
WRBF-3829-2013
I knew there was some reason I was holding on to this mini spoon and fork.  They made the perfect embellishment and a place to hang a thank you tag!

Love this sweet gift basket and the way you have decorated it with these cute stamps. This would make a wonderful homemade gift for someone. I am not sure if we are supposed to post our “would like to use more” tool project here or on the other post so I am going to do it at both places. I would also like to become more proficient at using my Cricut machines. I have several models but the Imagine is the one I need to make better use of.
