WRBF-3755-2012
Hi there blog friends, welcome back to day Preview Day Two for Waltzingmouse Stamps March Releases.  The set we’re previewing today is called Folk Art Labels #25 and it’s a cutie!!  I love the whimsy!  I changed up a little bit and made a set of cards a bit smaller than my normal – 4.25″ wide by 6.25 inches tall.   I created perfect layers using Spellbinders™ 5 x 7 Matting Basics A and Spellbinders™ 5 x 7 Matting Basics B.  Then I layered on top Spellbinders™ Damask Motifs followed by Spellbinders™ Floral Ovals and lastly, Spellbinders™ Labels Twenty Five.  It sounds like a lot of dies but just enough to give the card some depth.

I embossed my ink with clear embossing powder then carefully colored inside with some splashes of copic markers.  This colors up very quickly, so I have to put it in my stamping journal under “quick cards”.

WRBF-3745-2012
Hi there blog friends, as card makers we see the same holidays every year so I ‘jump’ at the opportunity to use something other than the conventional colors :-)  Today we’re kicking off the preview of the new Waltzingmouse Stamps with a ‘Hop’ – pun intended.   Claire Brennan, the owner of Waltzingmouse has designed some scrumptious digital papers to go along with the sets being offered for the release.  I selected one of her new papers and adopted it for my Easter palette.  Cool blue, cream and tan snuck in just when you were not looking.  I created a card using the new paper. The eggs and banner done using cut files that Claire will be offering on release day.  Since I had the perfect paper, I went ahead and made the sweet little basket currently in the Waltzingmouse Digital Library.  Cut with a digital cutter, I filled it with candy and hung the egg on one of the candy packages as a sweet tag.
WRBF-3746-2012
The bottom of my card is shaped with Spellbinders™ A2 Bracket Borders One.  I then added a panel that I shaped with the same die template set.  After situating my lace and seam binding, I added a panel and cut a triangle from the bottom to form a pennant.  Since my egg and banner were small, I mounted it on my pennant panel.  That litte bunny is so stinkin’ cute :-)

Well good news blog friends.  So many of you wanted to know the paper that I used for the enclosure cards in the Filigree Top Box.  I’m hanging my head in shame because I purchase digital art from many different companies and I’ll admit that I don’t have a good way of keeping track of it yet, I’m working on that.  My sincere thanks to Ann Lind who located it hiding somewhere on the huge internet :-)  The company is Digital Paper and here is the link to her Etsy Store —–>http://www.etsy.com/shop/bydigitalpaper.  Now that I’ve been able to go back and see her stuff, I’m able to identify quite a few recent cards that came from that stash.  I know this sounds crazy but on the piece of paper it says Digital Paper, mind you not Digital Paper Inc or not the etsy link.  I thought it was a label and not the name of the company, ugh – sorry.  Well, now you know – and if previously emailed me with question about the paper used on any of these cards/projects – same link above!

By the way, I didn’t make it to the computer yesterday (darn migraine) so today I can relay the name I pulled (random.org)  for the Filigree Box.  The winner is  Rose LeQuay.
  Blog Candy Winner - 030313
Wiinner, please reach out to me by sending me your name and address through the contact tab at the top right and side of my blog.   I’ll give the winner two days and if they have not come forward, I’ll pull another name.   I’m so glad it’s going out to someone who will put it to use.  Thanks as always for your sweet comments on that project.  I’ll be designing more like it soon!!

Be Crafty!!
