Hi there blog friends!  Happy Monday – I hope you had a wonderful holiday!!   I have a quick card to share that I think is a wonderful friend card.  It is made solely from a background stamp but again, cutting layers from the stamp set it up to be all the elements needed for a dimensional look.  I love this new stamp from Justrite Papercrafts!  It’s another collage stamp (Genuine Friend Background Stamp) that saves me from having to pick background paper, lol!!

From the bottom up I used Spellbinders™ Grand Large Labels that I embellished up top with Spellbinders™ D-Lite Windows Two.  Then I layered on a panel that I topped with Spellbinders™ Labels Seventeen.  I fussy cut the emblem and the Genuine Friend banner and popped them up.  As usual, the finishing touches of lace, seam binding, flowers, a Maya Road pin and a small flourish of Zva Creative pearls (left overs from another project) add a little bit of umph without overpowering my smaller than usual card (5-5/8″high and 4-1/2″ wide).

SUPPLIES I USED
Stamps: Justrite PapercraftsGenuine Friend Background Stamp
Paper: Kraft Paper, Bazzill Simply Smooth White, Coredinations
Ink: Versamark and white embossing powder, Amuse French Roast
Accessories: Spellbinders™ Grand Large Labels,  Spellbinders™ D-Lite Windows Two, Spellbinders™ Labels Seventeen, Hug Snug Seam Binding (White), Recollections Pearls, Zva Creative Pearls, Maya Roads Pin, Prima Roses

You all bless me so!  Thanks for all you care :-)  Really!

For the past few years I have been in excruciating pain due to my Connective Tissue in my entire body hurting and have not been able to make cards myself. But to be able to gaze upon your lovely creations totally lifts my spirits, even if the cards were not meant for me they do speak loud and clear to me. Maybe it is because noone has ever sent me lovely cards like these and I want one oh so badly, but whatever the case, your cards speak volumes to the hurting and the lonely so do please keep this up as long as you possibly can, hun {{{hugz}}} Much Love to you!

I want to personally thank you for all the time you do invest into each and every card. They mean so much to me every time I see one :o).
If we can ever get my body under control I want to be just like you when I grow up :o) By the way, I’m 40 *wink, wink*

Have a lovely day, hun and may God Shine His face upon you and bless you in all you say, think , and do for yourself, your family and for those around you {{{hugz}}}ReplyCancel

Again, using the background stamp layered on top of each other, clever, I would have never thought about doing that. Thanks you always amaze me with your creativity. YOU ARE AWESOME!!!!ReplyCancel

Good morning Blog Friends!  I broke out my copics and had a delightful time coloring.  You know that doesn’t happen very often, but I really do enjoy it.  I’ve been drooling over this new background stamp called Songbird Background Stamp  by JustRite Papercrafts, and set down to wrap my mind around different ways to use it.  The images on the collage are just so pretty and I thought that by layering it up it would really highlight the artwork as well as create a lot of dimension.  I colored the image one time and cut all three layers from the one colored image.   Because each layer has a black mat it hides the hole underneath it.  Of course, this set up is an excellent way to cover a goof, if needed.  I paired it up with a lovely sentiment from the December Amazing Paper Grace Kit and was thrilled to see that the slot left for sentiment will take a long sentence – lots of options from my stash that I can use there!

From the bottom up I used Spellbinders™ Labels Twenty Four and hand cut the black layer.  On top of that I added the center part of my image cut from Spellbinders™ Standard Circles LG matted on Spellbinders Standard Labels SM.  I finished off with the decorative corners from Spellbinders™ Asian Accents and nestled a large pearl on each corner after tying on a bow lengthwise.

Wishing you a colorful day :-)  Thanks so much for stopping by!  See you soon!

Sweet blog friends, I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  Mine was so untraditionally laid back.  In years past, every detail was known well before the week arrived and this year, I learned I would have company two days out.  I was not going to cook so then the wild hunt for a place for dinner.  Our favorite place was booked so we went with another and then abandoned that when the line was around the block.  In the end we had a marvelous dinner and none of the fretting.   Know this — I am never this laid back but it honestly felt good to let go.  What a blessing!  In the meantime, I had an afternoon to craft while entertaining company – since we were watching TV, I put my hands to work for another Christmas card to add to the stash.

I centered the ornament cut from Spellbinders™ Standard Circles LG on two circle motifs from Spellbinders™ Asian Accents.  For embellishment I used the flourish and flower from Spellbinders™ Jewel Flowers and Flourishes.  I just love the metal corners I found at Micheals, they frame the edges nicely :-)
