Sweet blog friends, I’m sure you won’t know what to think – another card to share.  I’ve actually been playing with these for a bit, on and off throughout the month. There are quite a few new sets!!   The Waltzingmouse Stamps set I’m showing today is called Yonder Star and it has a country western take on Christmas – the sentiments are sooo spunky.  Today we are doing peeks and the full sets will be released and available on Friday,November 2nd.  The first card is simple – it is a shaped card using Spellbinders™ Grand Labels Twenty Three.  Using one of the new Spellbinders™ Die D-Lites, (this one called Grate Works), I layered it as a decorative base to Spellbinder™ Layered Poinsettia while the sentiment fit perfectly on Spellbinders™ Back to Basics Tags.

The Layered Poinsettia is one of my favorite die templates and can lay flat as well as be manipulated for a little dimension.  Still, it flattens down enough that chose it to carry the motif to the inside of the card.

My second card is a shaped card – using the pennant shape that is also used in the quilt motif.  I used the Yonder Star Background and cut into the motif of the quilt background along the diagonal lines created by the quilt pattern.  I topped the card off with a layered star – two of the layers are stamped with motifs from the set and give a nice variety.  It has a naturally distressed look and I decided to bring color into the design with water based markers.

I think this is the first stamp I have that says the word “y’all”.  I love it!!

SUPPLIES I USED

How cool for us “Southerners” to have a stamp with Ya’ll ~ Love it!! Your cards are amazing just love the Poinsettia, I bought that one early in the summer while it was on sale. Love the way you did the leaves with the burlap type fabric. However I left my in Ohio when I was visiting my sister and she just yesterday put it in the mail to me. Now I need to get busy with it.

Hi there blog friends – yes, I’m still here.  It’s been a challenging month and I have not felt well; being under the weather kept me away for a bit!  I have two new cards today and new dies to show and you know that makes my heart sing!  I hope you can peek in for a minute – I’ve been missing you all.  The first card I’m sharing has a little bit of a vintage flavor.  I used a faux batik technique to highlight the beautiful Embroidered Background Stamp by JustRite Papercrafts.  So many people have shared this technique online so do a google to get the basics.  I took the clean way out and instead of spritzing or using anything wet, I simple used daubers to put color where I wanted before covering and ironing off the embossing powder – I think it gives a subtle, random, aged coloring.  Then of course a layered up a group of dies!  On the bottom I started with JustRite Nested Medallion Label Dies, then stacked Spellbinders™ Vintage Lace Motifs followed by Spellbinders™ Classic Circles SM, followed by JustRite Antique Label One and finally JustRite Antique Tags One.  I separated each layer with thin foam tape and really, the build up is not too much.

I added some pearls and eyelet lace that I distressed a little bit with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

SUPPLIES I USED
Stamps: JustRite Papercrafts – Embroidered Background Stamp
Paper: Bazzill, Neenah Classic Crest Cream 80lb
Ink: Amuse Nutmeg, Victorian Velvet Distress Ink, Vintage Photo Distress Ink
Accessories:  JustRite Nested Medallion Label DiesJustRite Antique Label One, JustRite Antique Tags OneSpellbinders™ Vintage Lace Motifs, Spellbinders™ Classic Circles SM, seam binding,  Recollections Pearls, Want2Scrap Finesse Swirls Pearls, eyelet lace, Glimmer Mist – Cork

Adding again to my Christmas stash, I used the O Christmas Tree stamp from Our Daily Bread Designs.  I paired it with a wonderful new Spellbinders™ Medallion Five die template.  Love! Love! Love!!  I embellished the bottom of the card with Spellbinders™ Asian Accents  and Spellbinders™ Classic Edges One and offset the scallops and finished off with a a tiny oval tag from Spellbinders™ Back to Basics Tags.

I have always been delighted at the prospect of a new day, a fresh try, with perhaps a bit of magic waiting somewhere behind the morning.   This is one of my favorite quotes and it reminds me that when tomorrow comes, I’ll get to try again.  Thank goodness :-)  I’m always thankful for that opportunity and I realize with each day that I get a little bit older, that it’s indeed a privilege.  I’ve been a busy girl and today the 15th brings a new kit.  If you are a member, you’ll be bowled over by everything stuffed in the kit.  If you’re not a member, these are still projects you can look at, take in and CASE.

For further details on memberships (which do ship Internationally), here’s a link:  Amazing Paper Graces Kit Club.

It’s getting to be that time of year where we make calendars for the coming year so I thought a kit that revolves around making each day your best or celebrating a special day was in order. Plus how could I resist the opportunity to make some frilly cards? Don’t forget, if you have any questions about the kit you can call Customer Service at 918-453-9111

Hugs to you, thanks for stopping by today!!  I hope to be back soon with a new project :-)

  • LennyOctober 15, 2012 - 6:36 pm

I can hardly wait for the Nov kit also! It’s worth every penny as the cost of supplies, shipping, and tax is included in the monthly kit price. I signed up for the Silver membership (six months only) but plan to extend my membership because every month is wonderful. JustRight Stamp Co will work with you if you need to skip one month so please think about saving your money to try Becca’s kits! Or, buy the individual products but you’ll see that the kit price is a big savings surprise. I’m not using the local 40% & 50% coupons….I’m spending my money on Becca’s beautifully designed kits instead. A membership insures that you will receive a kit!ReplyCancel

I’m another one that has been looking at these beautiful kits since they have been released and loved them all, but the costs of getting them to Australia is high. I can get a lot of goodies for the $19 it cost to get each kit to me, but I do realise that this is the cost and that’s it.
Anyhow, this month I have gone and ordered a kit, I couldn’t resist this months beautiful projects. See I have a birthday coming in December and decided it would be a little early birthday present to me…..LOL. I hope my husband doesn’t mind.
Love your work Becca is is exquisite and I visit most days to see your lovely creations.ReplyCancel

What I have received so far is just wonderful, but I would not have expected anything else coming from you. I think you have been very generous with the contents. The directions are clear and very easy to follow. When completed you have wonderful items and cards for gifts or as a present for yourself. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your artristry. SO glad I signed up for a year. xoxoxoxoReplyCancel

However, I am still waiting to receive the September and October kits.
I took out a Gold membership (for a year). I appreciate that I am in Scotland – but still no sign of them.
I so want to get my hands on these beautiful products and start creating with your inspiration… Hugs xx

Note by Becca: Jane, I checked on your kit and as promised, it shipped on October 2nd. International packages get there as soon as we can get them there, be on the look out – it should be popping up in your mailbox soon.ReplyCancel

I am just reading these posts and see that the lady in Scotland did receive her kit/s. I live in Canada, ordered a kit on the 19th of September and was told it was sent on the 9th of October. Don’t know why it took nearly 3 weeks from the date of ordering, however concerned that I still don’t have it. If I am reading this correctly, it took 19 days to get to Scotland (overseas) and I am already at 18 days since it supposedly was sent.ReplyCancel

I got my November kit today Becca, and it’s beautiful! I used those gorgeous corners on a card today. I can’t get a subscription because my husband is always laid off during the winter, but I was so glad I ordered this single kit early!ReplyCancel
