Good morning sweet blog friends.
Welcome to the Our Daily Bread Designs September Release Blog Hop!!   If you arrived here from Grace’s blog, you are in the right place!  If not, you’ll sure want to start there so you don’t miss a chance to win any of the great prizes this month as well as to get the scoop on all the details there!  The full blog hop list is also on the ODBD blog just in case you get stuck along the way or if you find any broken links.

For my card this month I turned back to Spellbinders™ Floral Ovals which I made into a frame using Spellbinders™ Classic Ovals LG.  Inside I stacked another from the Floral Ovals Set and stamped my sentiment on it then topped it off with Spellbinders™ Jewel Framed Sentiments.  I couldn’t resist to put a little tiara at the top using Spellbinders™ Venetian Motifs.  And now for all the information about the hop . . .

Hop Particulars:
The Hop will run from 8:00 am Eastern Time on September 1st until 8:00 pm Eastern Time on September 2nd. The winners will be announced on the ODBD Blog on September 3rd.  For this special event, there will be Four Prizes – your choice of an ODBD stamp set and one Grand Prize of a Bread Basket Bundle.   Here’s how to enter . . .

How to Enter the Drawing:
*Leave comments for each designer on each blog.
*Return to the ODBD Blog and leave a comment, telling us you completed the hop and answer the question there.
*Check back on September 3rd to see if your name was pulled!

OH BECCA!!!!!!!! This makes me think of a Grandmas’ wall in her home! AND the little oval in the “center…” the way you layered it on the cardstock that was a little darker….makes it look like that white oval on top folds out! Like an ornament! I THINK it’s that piece from the die that comes up at the top of all those pieces that makes it look like it’s hanging on the wall! AND that LOVELY LACE, like a Grandma would have! :) (Can you tell I like Grandma things???? :) )ReplyCancel

Hello there blog friends!  Can you take one more duo tone card?  I’m telling you, I was elbow deep in the cream paper and I thought I’d finish what I started.   This is another one I’ve had in the back of my mind for a while and it was good to sit down and try it out.  It’s a shaped card made using Spellbinders™ Labels Twenty Eight.   I simply cut two and glued them together – the cool thing is that I scored across the top dome only on the back leg of the card, folded the dome forward and placed adhesive on it.  For the textured background I used Spellbinders™ Fancy Lattice and topped with another framed cutout of Labels Twenty Eight.  My sentiment fit perfectly on Spellbinders™ Decorative Labels One.    I finished up with some flowers using Spellbinders™ Spiral Blossoms Three.   It’s a smaller card since it’s a shaped card, but I found that everything fit comfortably.

SUPPLIES I USED
Stamps: Wordsworth
Paper: Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, The Paper Company
Ink: Amuse – French Roast
Accessories:  Spellbinders™ Labels Twenty Eight, Spellbinders™ Fancy Lattice,  Spellbinders™ Decorative Labels OneSpellbinders™ Spiral Blossoms Three, Recollections Pearls, satin ribbon, tulle

I couldn’t finish up without a matching bookmark!!  For this one I kept the bookmark simple and added the second smallest die template from Spellbinders Decorative Labels One as a fob.  On the fob I was able to fit a small sentiment and two matching flowers!!

Hello there blog friends!  Well, it’s just a tone week isn’t it?  When I made my card yesterday I had a couple of other cards in progress and for all of them I was working with tone on tone.  This started out being a tone on tone card, then I switched it up today and added another color, a soft color.   This was the first time I’ve played around with Spellbinders™ Grand Decorative Circles One and it was the inspiration for a round 6″ x 6″ card with some patterning on the inside.  Again, I wanted a touch of texture so I picked Spellbinders™ Garden Lattice embossing folder and topped the design off with Spellbinders™ Vintage Lace Motifs.  The three small flowers with leaves on the edge of the card are Spellbinders™ Bitty Blooms.  The sentiment is a Quietfire Design stamp from the new Happy Family Days  that just happened to fit perfectly!!

SUPPLIES I USED
Stamps: Quietfire Design – Happy Family Days
Paper: Neenah Classic Crest Natural White, The Paper Company
Ink: Weathered Wood Distress Ink
Accessories:  Spellbinders™ Grand Decorative Circles OneSpellbinders™ Garden LatticeSpellbinders™ Vintage Lace MotifsSpellbinders™ Bitty Bloomsseam binding, Corsage Pin, Recollections Pearls

Since I’m on a bookmark kick, I made a matching bookmark from one of the new Our Daily Bread Designs sets and used two of their bookmark dies on the project.  I simply glued one on top of the other and it actually gives it a lot of stability.   Could not resist the bow, but it’s at the top and shouldn’t interfere with a thing :-)

Take care friends — today I’m inspired by a Japanese proverb — fall down seven times, stand up eight.  I hope today finds you standing :-)

Hi Becca, love this idea. say! I thought I would pass on information. I have this special book mark die from ODB. and love the set. One big thing I do is cut them out of cereal box first, and the cut the paper for the image and color. the cereal box cut gives it extra strength and support for the die. It is free, recycling the cereal box ,a not a heavy as chip board , so easier to mail. Try it, It;s been a life saver using the cereal box in many ways. OH! I place wax paper over the die if cutting a very detail die and still use the cereal box cut , then continue . Hope you try this idea. Have a good day and thanks so much for doing book marks, I love doing them. ( OH! one more thing I use the Cuttle bug and Grand Cal or cricut expression for cutting)…..hugs and smilesReplyCancel
