I’ve always been infatuated with fine craftsmen and their art.  When you think about the time that goes into any labor of love is it any wonder what ordinary people can do?  Wanna see something kinda cool?  Just like the tools we crafters use get automated over the years, that happens in every discipline.  Things get easier to make!  The picture above is the facility that made the Becca Peg Bow Makers.  Once I saw the set up, I realized the precision that went into making each one alike!  It’s computerized, kind of like a Cricut except with wood, lol!!

So, just a quick post to let you know that Becca’s Peg Bow Makers have landed!! Several of you could not wait to get them out of the box and have set them up and tied some bows (I have the pictures to prove it!!)   Thanks for letting me know that you’re getting them and most of all thanks for the positive feedback.  A couple of people have had questions about the pegs or the DVD’s so I thought I’d post an answer in case you ponder the same question.

If you detect any resistance  on your first set up, this is normal, simply tap the pegs into place with a mallet or something non-destructive like a piece of wood.   With use, the pegs will conform to the holes without being too loose – just like a favorite pair of jeans that eventually mold to your body.

The Pegs are made by a precision piece of automated equipment, as are the holes. They are designed for an extemely tight fit in the holes so that there is no play in the pegs whatsoever.  This is so you make a nice consistent bow every time.  Because the span of temperatures that bowmaker goes through to get to your location, there’s always a chance that the wooden pegs expand or contract.

I’ve also answered some questions about the DVD . . .

If you are using it on your computer, take a second to reconfirm that your computer plays DVD’s and not just CD’s.  Sometime you have a combined DVD/CD player and sometimes they are not combined.

If you’re not familiar with Becca’s Peg Bow Maker, hit Buy Now the link on my right hand sidebar and it will zoom you to the location with the details as well as a contact button if you have any purchase questions!

Happy Bow Making!  I can hardly wait to see what you create!

Happy Leap Day!!  I’ll be back later on in the day for the last day of the Waltzingmouse Releases.  All those goodies go into the store for purchase midday in the US, so be sure to consult the Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog to see when things go live in your time zone.

Hi there blog friends!   We are to Day Three of releases for the Waltzingmouse Stamps February sets.  Today we’re introducing two more new sets – Compact Sentiments and Heritage Patterns.   I couldn’t resist stamping out the harlequin pattern to use for my background on Spellbinders™ Labels Twenty Three!  For the rest of my card I went with tones of an aqua that has some gray or blue in it, and was able to work it into the flowers made with Spellbinders™ Bitty Blossoms.

I loved the contrast of the white so I also used some embellishing curls from Spellbinders™ Floral Flourishes.  For my sentiment I simply cut a banner and snipped the ends, then stamped and curled up the edges.  Compact Sayings is one of those stash must haves – the sayings will take you through quite a few occasions!

SUPPLIES I USED

Love this card! Just my opinion about the bowmaker. I don’t like putting things together and no hubby to do it for me. Honestly, if the thing was already put together, I’d buy it. I know it would cost more with shipping. You might think about making that an option?ReplyCancel

Hi there blog friends!  Wasn’t yesterday just dreamy with the French Country, Mark Your Word and Chicken Wire?  If I didn’t mention it, there are nine new sets and today we are previewing Florentine Frippery and Nordic Spring.  It’s so hard to pick a favorite, but I love trying, so here goes :-)

This card is made using Florentine Frippery.  Of course there are stamps in this set that match Spellbinders™ Labels Twenty Four so I jumped to use them together.  I created a layered flower and alternated the layers with Spellbinders™ Persian Motifs and Spellbinders™ Persian Accents and filled in the center with Spellbinders™ Spiral Blossom Three.  The sentiment – which is so cleverly archaic is hung on Spellbinders™ Office Supplies.

The border is created by lining up the filigree element from Spellbinders™ Damask Accents then layering a strip of paper over top.  The Frippery pattern that is stamped on the border strip is simply exquisite!

For this card I used elements from Nordic Spring and Florentine Frippery.  The heart is cut using Spellbinders™ Classic Hearts which I mounted over two cuts using Spellbinders™ Labels Twenty Five.  I love, love, love the matching stamps!!

Using the Nordic Spring I stamped the border and folded it to make an elevated banner.

I love the sentiment.  It really pokes fun at archaic sayings and this is definitely not a stamp or sentiment you already have in your stash, lol!!

My goodness Becca! Two most elegant presentations here! I love the colors on both – all the pearls, the wonderful layered and curled labels to create your blue flower, the die cut edges – the pink heart layered over the red label with that gorgeous multi-bow ribbon, pin and flowers – I could look at these for an hour and still see more details!ReplyCancel

    Good morning Becca,
Oh my, I love both of your cards this morning, especially the aqua card,(at least I think it’s aqua). No matter, you did a wonderful job in pooling all the elements together. I don’t know how you do it day after day. I could work all week and only get one card to look decent (lol) the rest would end up in the round file. Thanks for sharing, and have a great week.ReplyCancel

    Becca,
My husband always knows when I pull up your blog because I let out a little gasp each time I see one of your beautiful creations!! What elegance, what a stunning flower and the aqua is so soothing. Your heart card is so pretty. The lace, bow and stick pin just works so well together. These knew stamps are so wonderful and will have to order them, along with the flower #3. I bet these companies see a serge in orders every time you post a card!!! I hope you get a cut!
And then today, I rec’d happy mail. The bow maker came in and I can’t wait to start playing. Thank you for all your contributions to the craft world. I tell my husband you are the reason the mastercard bill is so high each month!! (Just kidding, he gives me a craft budget each month.)
    Hugs,
    CindyReplyCancel

Hi Becca, Just Beautiful. Your cards are the absolute most fantastic in the world. I recieved my bow maker today and the card that was with it is just gorgeous. What a lovely accompaniment. I hope I can make some bows almost as lovely as the ones you make.
Thank You for making these beautiful cards and for your bow maker. I only wish I had the money to get all the Spellbinders to go with the bows I hope to make. I have some dies and I try to get some when I can. I love Spellbinders dies.

    Thank You,

    Take Care,

Another beautiful card to add to the list of favorites. As I read over some of these comments there is really nothing left to say as everyone is always in Heaven just looking at your creations. But I found something to top the list! Today I recieved my Becca’s bow maker and I was so excited to open the package. Now I have my own Becca card!!! It is so pretty and I am so pleased. My first bow was not hard to make either. Thank you for all the inspiration you give. I also have to agree with some of the comments on how I am inspired to buy by what I see you use. Great advertisement.ReplyCancel
