For my card today I stayed with cream for all the paper and embellishments (except background).  I just received these Prima Flowers and they are a little bit larger than my comfort zone but I was bound and determined to use it.  I hollowed the bud out of the flower and pressed the leaves down.  I picked up the metal bead at Michaels on sale last week and thought I could thread it in the center for a different look and well, there you have it, lol!!

The stamp I used for the sentiment is from the new release at Our Daily Bread Designs called The Good Seed.  For my medallion I stacked several Spellbinders™ die templates together.  Fancy Tags Two fit perfectly on top of Lace Doily Accents which is nestled on top of Labels Twenty Three.  The edges of each layer are distressed with Vintage Photo Distress ink to set them apart.  My card is 4.25″ tall by 8″ wide.

    Hi Becca, Can’t tell you how much i love your blog!! it is my first stop every day. you have taught he so much, and i thank you. i have a couple of questions if you have time–you did a navy blue and white floral pocket card not long ago–it is gorgeous. i have never done a pocket card and mine didn’t turn out well. do you wrap the front around the back or what? have tried to find a tutorial with no success. also, would you mind telling me the dimensions of your card–after i got the front made i found it was too small to take the insert. have a wonderful day, and many thanks again for sharing with all of us. A big hello blog friends!  Where did August go?  Sheesh, I’m already planning projects for September and trying to finish up the cards I had planned for August, so I have one more to share today.   This really isn’t pink, I swear.  It’s a peachy, mauvey color but from a distance, it looks like pink, lol!!  This is another Our Daily Bread Designs sentiment from the special set that was introduced this month with stamps solicited from ODBD customers, Scripture Series 2 and Scrolly Borders.  This is actually going to someone as a thank you card and because it was sooo easy to make, it goes into my do-again file when I need a quick card :-)

This is a very low profile card and the bow is very smushable!  When I’m comfortable with my video, camera, I’ll do a walk through on the simple bow.  To spice things up, I added this decorative piece from Spellbinders™ Ironworks Motifs.  You can’t get much simpler than this card – Labels Twenty Two layered on top of Lace Doily Motifs – the ribbon behind just makes it a little dressy :-)

    Both of today’s card are lovely! They may not be the most complicated that you’ve ever done, but they are both elegant. On the other hand I’d hardly call them CAS cards! lol! Hi there blog friends, I’m peeking in for a quick moment to share a card I started last night but didn’t manage to get finished until today.  This is one my favorite new sentiments and one that I will pick up time and time again for a friend card.  I’ve just been in card heaven with all the sewing stamps that were released by Our Daily Bread Designs this month, this one is from the set Sewn with Love.

Although a simple offering for the day, this one will get pulled out of my stash soon for a friend.   Lace and seam binding finish things off – of course, lol!
