Hi there blog friends. As promised, today I’m back to kick off the second of a two part blog candy. What’s up for grabs today is Girls Paperie Paper – ten double sided, shabby chic goodness sheets. As I mentioned yesterday, I know it has been difficult on busy days to leave comments. There is a problem that we can’t seem to find concerning comments, but for the last week it has been somewhat better. I unfortunately have no control over it, so my blog candy is “as is” and I encourage you to try different times to get in and leave your comment. When you get a white screen, your comment is registered, really!! If you wait a couple of minutes then hit the refresh key you should see it.
In order to win all you have to do is leave a comment on this post anytime between 12:05 am and Noon CST and feel free to leave a comment each day until the winner is picked on Saturday, July 23nd. For your comment I’d love to hear what is one of your favorite brands of cardmaking or scrapbooking paper? If you were here yesterday you notice that I always have a little catch to my candies and this time it is the time. Pay attention to the time on this post because no comments will be eligible to win except those made between 12:05am and Noon CST. Get it – I have one morning blog candy and one evening blog candy.
Once picked, the winner will have 48 hours to reach out to me through the contact button at the top to claim their prize.
Stay tuned I hope to have some cool stuff to share a little bit later on!!
Cute toes!
Ouch – but great colouring – of course….. :)
See you can’t keep a great gal down. God Bless You!
Why the boot? Come on now, you’ve got to tell us the rest of the story! aha! Hope your travels go well..,and have fun!
Is that from surgery or injury? Looks like a pretty serious undertaking, and since NOVEMBER???????????Wow! You’re a gutsy lady!
Was surprised to see your picture with Joan from Joan’s Gardens since you didn’t mention going to CHA. I’m glad you got to go and that your boot didn’t sideline.I’m sure there’s lots of fun stuff to do there. Don’t overdo it though.
Becca, so sorry to see your leg and foot in a cast and I can’t believe that you haven’t told any of your blogging friends about this sooner. Happy to know that whatever the reason is that you are in a cast, it didn’t keep you away from CHA. You are a woman of steel, that’s for sure … or is it of “plaster!”
Have a safe trip by home and can’t wait to hear about CHA!
You go girl. Whatever thes story it is the small victories that keep us going. I know that I had to celebrate everything that I accomplished after knee replacement. 18 months later it is not completely back to normal and I am not sure it ever will be but those small victories are there. Keep going for them. We can not be kept down.
Oh I was wondering if you were at CHA. WOW, on the foot in the boot. And since November!!! Holy smokes. Hope the prognosis is good!!! Have a safe trip and am looking forward to seeing and hearing about all the wonderful sights!!
OMgoodness – look at you. Here you are in a boot due to some injury I am sure and you never mentioned it or complained. Are you really an angel? I think so more and more every day. Anyone else would have complained or at least grumbled. I am sure I would have :) On a second thought – cute toe nails!
Oh, my word! No wonder you were questioning your ability to travel – and to CHA no less!! Hope you had a wonderful time even with the hurdles. You certainly prove true the old adage (slightly changed) “You can’t keep a good woman down!” Best of everything to you, Becca.
Nice toes!!!!
So glad you got to travel! Boot and all!
Good thing it isn’t your right foot or you’d surely be staying home! But at least you got those toe nails painted a bright shade of red too…. Happy traveling.
How ironic Becca that the amazing quote for today is: Do what you can, with what you have where you are. By Theodore Roosevelt . You are a testimony at CHA to that!
I can see how that boot would sideline you!!!!!!!! At least your toenails are manicured!!!!!! LOL :) Have FUNNN at CHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Come back with LOADS of goodies for us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)
Glad that your moon boot didn’t stop you from travelling. I wore one of these for three and a half years and can fully understand how little triumphs are just wonderful. Enjoy your travels
Oh Becca….I’m so envious!!! Sorry to hear about you having to wear the boot too! Can’t wait until you return and tell us all about all of the exciting new crafting toys! Have fun!!!
Hugs, Pam
My goodness! You never mentioned you had a boot on your foot. I hope it is recovering nicely and to think you never shared that with us. We love to know how you are doing and love all your cards you share with us. I visit with you every day and have grown to count you as a friend! Take care and have fun at CHA. I am so jealous!
That’s a long time to be in that big boot, and I’ve been there myself so I know what your dealing with. I hope it’s doing the trick for your malady!
I did CHA in January in CA and hopefully will be able to go back in January! It’s so much fun!!!!
Hugs,
Barb
Oh my-you are such a trooper and a creative one at that. Have fun, don’t spend too much money or did the doctor say it is good medicine for you. Love the polish and your toes are pretty good looking.
Lauren
Ha! I knew you were out, I purchase certain items from Joan Fricker and she mentioned this morning she had seen and met you and that you are just as sweet in person as you are on-line. You were even standing next to her :) Glad you had fun!
I had to wear one of those because I had plantar faciatis (fallen arches). Nothing really helped until I got fitted for special shoes with special inserts for my arches. Now I dance around and have even worn sandals! I can appreciate the clunkiness of the whole thing. Thank goodness I only had to wear mine at night or if I was sitting around for a long time. Hope you have an absolutely marvelous time at CHA! Will you have lots to tell us?
Hope you are having great fun at CHA. The boot? Well, it’s a grand way to make new friends on your travels. BUT since NOVEMBER! Very brave but a bit naughty not to share before.:) :) NOW we are all agog!
Sending lots of hugs.
I am so glad you got to go to CHA Becca – even if I am envious :) Be careful and have a lovely time!
I am so glad you were able to go to the show. You have been through a lot and it is great to do some fun things and be around people you enjoy.
Boot…hmmmm I sure missed that. What a fun time and so wonderful to finally meet you. You are as sweet in person as you are online. I feel very blessed.
Nice pedicure! Feel better!
Hi Becca,
I’m glad you were ale to travel without too much trouble, but I’m sorry your foot has been in a boot for this long. I hope you’re well on the way to mending. Take care blog friend.
Eunice
My Goodness Becca – Wearing a boot like that is a big hurdle when you’re traveling and more so when it’s hot and sticky. Had one of those once myself. I kinda figured you were at CHA – thought I spied you in the pictures on the Spellbinders blog. Soo glad you got to go to CHA – hope it was fun & enjoyable! Safe travel mercies going back home. {{Hugs}}
What a brave lady you are traveling with that and being on your feet all day at CHA. But I’d happily do that for a chance to go to CHA! Lucky you!
Pretty toes and nail color. Have fun for all us that can’t be there my blog friend. God Bless.
Oh Miss Becca, i am so sorry to hear about your foot. I do hope it gets better really soon. I was looking at Joan’s Garden Blog and I saw that she had pictures of you and her at the CHA…oh she is so lucky to meet you in person…one day…(even though I know is a dream), I will get to go to CHA and meet you, Joan, Tim Holtz and more of the wonderful talented people. In the meantime, have a wonderful time at the CHA and I can hardly wait till you post of your findings. I view your blog everyday and best of all, I am a follower (subscribe) of your blog.
God Bless………..from frannie
Hope you can leave the boot behind soon. But cute toes!!!!
hi Becca
glad to hear that you able to travel and enjoy the company of friends. Not to mention how much fun CHA must have been. Take care of that foot!
Becca I sure hope that you have alternative means of getting around CHA. That boot alone weights approximately 8 lbs. My husband had one when he broke his ankle. It hurt so bad that he asked the doctor for something different to wear. I hope that you recover soon and have as much fun at CHA as you can. Thank you for sharing all of your beautiful cards and videos.
Gosh, to be able to do all that with your foot is amazing. Enjoy the journey Becca. You are one true talent.
Egads, what happened to your foot? I bet that is hurtful and uncomfortable but I am glad you got to go to CHA and hope you had a blast. Hurry and tell us all about it. Hope you got lots of pics.
So sorry you are in a cast will add an extra prayer for a quick recovery . I must add that you are a real trooper going to CHA. Nothing could hold me down either. As always Becca, TFS!!! :-D
Good for you!!!! Love the piggies!
Hi Becca–sorry to hear about your foot–but hey you can sing the song “This boot is made for walking” Ha! Please take care and enjoy CHA-wish I could be there.
I am sorry your foot is in a boot..and since last November! If you told us before, I am sorry that I missed the message. I’ll be praying for a ‘quick’ recovery for you!!!
Becca,
I am so sorry to hear about your boot, I can’t so relate. I have two keen replacements and two ankle surgery in the last two years and yes I have 4 of those boots in my garage. I have traveled in them as well not fun, but we do what we gotta do or want to do. I hope and pray what ever happened to your foot heals quickly and you are up and around with the pain behind you. You have a Godly spirit and the Lord with take care of you.
Blessing to you!!!

Girl!!!!!! I was in a boot for a couple of weeks last summer, and I didn’t go anywhere I didn’t absolutely have to. I can’t imagine being in one for that long…And to do CHA???? I loved it, but was SO exhausted the one time I was blessed to go. You are brave with a capital B!
Nice that your traveling and sure your having a good time. Sorry to hear about your foot problems. You need to add a bow to the boot.. Take care and hope recoverage comes soon.
I wored a cam boot for six months….after a bit you get quite good at walking with a thump and a lurch! Your toes are pretty so that helps!
Have a great time- if you are still there Sunday, I would love to meet you!
WOW you are truly a crafter, I will pray for you sweet Becca, and I hope you enjoy yourself, if I was there I would push you around. I know many others and I have said it, we are blessed to have you, even though I am broke from buying more spellbinders everytime I see a new project youve made hehehe.
God Bless, Diane
Oh, my poor Becca, with a little help from this guy, you keep moving, and even travelling, what a brave and sweet lady, a dear one to all of your bloggers. We love you. Enjoy the trip.
Holy Cow Becca! Since November! and you never said a word. That is
an awful long time, I broke my foot in 16 + places and wore a cast and then boot for 4 months and thought that was a horrible long time. I can’t imagine 9 months. What ever the reason I hope and pray that you are
out of the thing and healed right away.
So glad you were able to go to CHA, that has got to be a help mentally
just to get out and travel and do that.
Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us. You always do such beautiful, fantastic work.
Aha! I thought that was a photo of you on the Spellbinders blog! Well darn! Now I wish I had gone!

Jan Castle
Oh no what hads happened here now? Hope it´s nothing really serious hun? Please take good care and look after yourself okay.
Hi Becca, Your photo was certainly a shocker, and I’ve only been aware of you for 6 months or so. Therefore maybe others that are long time admirers of yours know what happened to your leg/foot, but I don’t. I hope it is healing properly & admire your tenacity for traveling off to Chicago with that challenge. You cease to amaze me. I don’t believe I even know where you hail from, but no matter what traveling is never easy. Enjoy yourself, and take care. Jo
Becca, what happened? All this time and you never said a word.
You truly are a woman of steel. So happy you went to CHA and did not let the leg keep you down. Have a great trip. Hugs and Hugs. Nice toes!
Oh my dear, shame on you for not letting us know you were dealing with a “boot leg” problem. How can we pray for you if we don’t realize there is a problem. We love you and think of you as the sister we would most like to be. I hope and pray all will heal quickly and please give us the story on how this all came about. (if you don’t mind sharing). God bless my friend….. Denice

Wow you’re even more amazing than I thought you were!!….and keeping it quiet from your blog pals…you have done so well to keep that up and crafting and now TRAVELLING! Way to go girl….you give us inspiration in so many ways. Hope all will be well went the boot is removed…yes I agree lovely manicure too.!

Pretty Toes!!!!
So lucky you could got to CHA. You have tell us about the boot. Hope it’s better soon! Take care.
Oh my word! That is quite a long time in that contraption. I know they are heavy and cumbersome. You are even more amazing than I ever thought.
Becca,
Sorry that you are having problems and having to wear a boot. Since Nov is a long time! Glad you got to go to CHA. Wish I could have been with you!
Oh dear Becca, you should of let us all know about your foot injury so we could of been praying for you. I am so glad the injury did not keep you from attending CHA – you lucky lady!! As the old saying goes” It is hard to keep a good woman down”-LOL.
Beg to differ, Becca. I would say, it’s a very big triumph! You are one amazing lady. Not to have said one word to your blog pals and you never skipped a beat or missed a blog. I’ve held you in high esteem since I first bumped into your blog. It just keeps going up. Hope you are released from that apparatus soon. Have fun at CHA.
Ahhh, the boot. I’m very familiar with it, having had surgery on both feet, one for a split tendon and the other for ligament repair in the heel. Luckily they were two different years! After this you get to go shoe shopping, not just scrappy shopping! Hope you enjoyed CHA!
That is just so like you not to complain. So sorry about your leg being in a cast. I wish you well. God bless.
I’m so sorry to see you in a boot, I was last summer, I fell and tore the Achilles tendon out of my heal, and that boot is so cumbersome, so I can sympathize. But with my husbands help we even canned tomatoes last summer. I wasn’t able to put any weight on my foot for six weeks, so I actually used an office chair to get around my house. I had to scoot all over to get things done, and after the first couple of weeks I was able to get to my craft room and make thank you cards to the people that attended my 50th wedding anniversary party. I had fallen just two weeks before our 50th, but I managed. Somehow we (women) always do. Share with us what happened, as someone else said at least we can say a prayer for you.
It was wonderful to see you Becca, and to be blessed with one of your hugs!
Good heavens woman you really don’t let anything stop you. Did you help move your son with that thing on?! I had foot surgery and had to wear one like it, no fun. Hope you’ll be rid of that soon.
Blessings Bernie
Sometimes the greatest joys come in taking pleasure in the little things! I so wish I could have been at CHA with you, I bet you had a wonderful time despite the boot!!
Those boots are so uncomfortable on our backs, I’m sure that
you were feeling pretty tired after all that walking. Glad you
were able to make the trip. Sounds like you enjoyed it, I’m glad.
Well even wearing the boot, nothing slows you down!! .
By the way, What pretty toes!!
Hugs,
I am surprised you don’t have a bit of lace and pearls on your boot!!
you’ve had this thing on since November. Sheesh!!! I’d go bonkers.
Looking forward to your upcoming posts.
Amazing Grace!!!
Dearest Becca,
Your name surely fits you. It’s His Amazing Grace that you can go through and still smile. It’s amazing what God will do in the midst of a storm. May God bless you as you travel along life’s journey. I was in and out of a aircast and wheelchair for over 2 years so can certainly understand your pain and uncertainty. So glad you were able to travel and enjoy CHA!
