Hi there blog friends – Happy Fourth of July!!  Although I’m always up for patriotic cards, there’s something else that tickled my fancy this morning.  As is my Monday morning ritual, I’m playing Mojo Monday and this weeks sketch (Mojo 198) is sweet!  It inspired me to create a theme card based on sewing.  This kind of creating is fun!!  I looked through my stash to see what I could pull together and I picked things from several different sources.  My papers today are all digital – something that I’ve shied away from but I can no longer deny.

Hee!  I even used my sewing machine (which I love but has been very neglected!)

SUPPLIES I USED
Stamps: TPC – Sewing, Tim Holtz,
Paper:  The Paper Company, Jen Allyson – Nostalgia,
Ink: Colorbox Chalk Ink – Prussian Blue, Vintage Photo Distress Ink
Accessories: Buttons, Seam Binding, Lace, Linen Thread

Be safe friends and enjoy sweet times with family!!  Biggest hugs!!

Blue and gold?! I’m shocked! No pink or rose or coral. . . .LOL! You rock in any color, girl! I love it!
I’ve downloaded a lot of freebie digital papers and elements. I always thought it would be expensive to print my own paper. Ha! If I would have stuck to buying ink and plain white cardstock instead of all the delicious papers that tempt me, I could have saved a bucketful of money! And you don’t have to print 12×12 or even 8.5×11, just the pieces you need! Maybe, I’m too tactile or other sensory deprived. I want to feel and smell and caress all those wonderful papers out there. I am so bad! LOL!ReplyCancel

This is beautiful Becca and to think you were just saying you were stuck in the shabby chic mode. LOL I love this card, because my 1st love is sewing and also because you made the buttons look like they are actually stitched on. One of my pet hates is when buttons are just glued on and then the holes are left un-used as it looks contrived and fake. So on all counts I love this card, as usual. Your work is a daily ‘look forward to’ for me.

We had pizza tonite. It is my husband’s favorite food along with hot dogs. Therefore, it is my favorite food! Can you imagine anything easier to fix than pizza and hot dogs? Leaves a lot more time for crafting!

I am on the east coast and I guess I’d have to stay up all night to see the changes in the card. Whatever I am getting from Feedblitz only shows cards that have nothing to do with the contest. I don’t depend on that as you advised but wouldn’t that at least indicate that a change had been made even if I am too late to see it? Sorta frustrated…ReplyCancel

Hi blog friends!!  I had some time this afternoon, so as many of you have asked, I’ve done a video on the basics of lining up the All Over the Page Punches.  I have to admit that I’ve had these punches in my stash since they came out but had not figured out the best way to use them.  After sitting down and making a couple of cards, I’m no longer intimidated and you shouldn’t be either :-)    If you have one of these sitting in the corner, I hope you’ll get it out and give it a try!!

Thanks for stopping by. By the way, today was my 1000th post!!  I hope there are many more to come and I hope I’ll see you tomorrow!!

Well I’m sitting here feeling pretty dumb…lol I bought a couple of these punches a few months ago and ended up returning them. I just could not figure it out and every time I punched, the paper moved. I played around with these punches for a few days and gave up. After seeing your video, I’m going to try my luck again. I never thought to use the painter’s tape and I even have some of that sitting around somewhere in this house!! Congrats on your 1000th post. So many great things I have seen and learned from you on your blog—I should start from the beginning and read ALL of your posts!! Becca…THANK YOU for sharing this video on how to use these All Over The Page Punches! You are always full of surprises Becca. That is what I love about your blog. One of my twin granddaughters has been under the weather and I have been so busy with them that I have had little time to spend on the computer, but I had a little free time today so I am trying to catch up. Thanks so much for your tutorial on lining up the anywhere punches. Looks easy enough so I might have to invest in a few and give them a try. Sure loved your cards using them. I would also like to thank you for the how to on the pin cushion. Thought they were just adorable. Have to check out our Michaels to see if I can find some of those frames. Hope you are having a great 4th of July. We normally have quite a show right from our balcanies. We live high on a hill with a fabulous view and normally have 4 or 5 firework displays that we can enjoy. But with all the restrictions this year, not sure if we will be seeing them. So we decided to go out on my daughter and son-in-laws boat and cruise the bay for a fireworks display on the water this year. I am looking forward to it. Catch you tomorrow. Hugs,

Hi there blog friends!! I didn’t make it back yesterday in time to put up a Becca Bit, but I may have some luck today. In the mean time I have a card to share in the same shabby chic mode that I’ve been in as of late. The sweet sentiment is one from Serendipity Stamps that I’ve had in my stash for probably more than 10 years. It’s noteworthy that it is just as inspiring to me today as it was back then :-)

By the way, we are rock and rolling on the What’s The Difference Blog Candy. I’ll give you a little hint – I intentionally started out slow so that people who had not read the email would have time to jump in. We are on our way though. I asked before, please don’t list the change in your comment!!  If you have not read the rules for the blog candy, I’d appreciate if you’d take a second to scan them HERE.

By the way, today I’m listening to the closing arguments on the Casey Anthony case.  My heart just breaks for that little girl and I’ve prayed over the outcome.  I just hope that the truth will prevail so that that sweet baby can rest in peace.  Listening to the details of the case sure make you wonder.  I can’t even put it into words because it is so heartbreaking.

SUPPLIES I USED
Stamps: Serendipity Stamps – Faraway
Paper: The Paper Company, Bazzill, Digital Papers from Etsy
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black and Clear Embossing Powder
Accessories: Spellbinders Labels Sixteen, Spellbinders Floral Doily Accents, Eyelet Lace, Doily, Button, Satin Ribbon, Pearls

Hugs to you friends!!  I’m blessed every day that I get to spend crafting with you!!

Such beautiful sentiment and your card is stunning. I need to make a pink birthday card today, this is the perfect inspiration.
Oh Becca that case is just heartbreaking, like you I’ve prayed that justice will prevail. Rest assured that little angel is with Our Heavenly Father.

Stunning card! I, also, have been praying that justice will be serve in the Casey Anthony trial but if it is not we know that God will make someone to answer for this sweet little girl’s death. We have a young couple at church who cannot have children and due to medical issues are unable to adopt- they would give anything to have the opportunity to have a child so this trial has really weighed on their minds and souls.ReplyCancel

  • DeniseJuly 3, 2011 - 12:00 pm

Beautiful card Becca. God is the only one that knows who is responsible for this precious little girls death & I hope they come to a decision soon, so she can rest. I have 2 beautiful little granddaughters & if anything happened to them, for sure I would find who did it to them & they would pay.ReplyCancel

WONDERFUL Shabby Chic card Becca!!!!!! :) SUPER NICE sentiment!

I think EVERYONE is watching the Casey Anthony case! It DOES break your heart at what has happened to her & the destruction of her family as the truth is being saught! The child IS at peace I believe in our Heavenly Fathers arms! AND believe me, NO GREATER justice can be imposed than that of Our Heavenly Father!!!!!!! What the State plans….. for her OR whoever did this, has NO COMPARISON to what is to come!!!!!!!!!!ReplyCancel

Becca, I have to make a birthday day for a young lady, I love the pink, but I believe my (I hope!) future step granddaughter like purple…still a beautiful color. Your sentiment is…such a life long thought to keep in mind always!

I as well have been watching this sad story. I am glad I am not on the jury. So many ups, downs, ins, outs! May little Caylie fly high with the other darling angels!ReplyCancel

Beautiful card Becca. I agree with you about the Casey Anthony trial, I too have been watching it. I feel no one in the Anthony family has been a voice for little Caylee, I pray that the jury can be. I pray for justice for Caylee. I know she is safe in the arms of Jesus now. ReplyCancel

As I read these words about the little girl and her death, it reminded me how fragile the sweet innocent children are. I do not know the story as I don’t watch the news, but I will pray for God’s will to be carried out. It is on my heart to pray for the family and or for the one responsible for her death. I pray he or she will turn their life over to God and be saved. Still I believe there are consiqences to our actions and when you do wrong on this earth, I believe you must pay the price according to the laws that govern this land. It saddens me also to realize that this is just one case that happens to be covered and over exploted by the media, there are probably 100 more almost just like it going on now. The little one is home now, no more tears. God bless to all……. DeniceReplyCancel

    Hi Becca,
Have not been around for a couple of weeks due to computer issues – finally fixed them by wiping my hard drive. Drastic but nothing else worked. I did manage to save all of my pictures and videos so that was good.
I also developed issues with my blog so I just designed a new one and am officially closing the old one tomorrow. If you ever have time, yeah right :D I would love to have you drop by my new blog sometime…

I missed out on a bunch of things here at your blog…just loved those picture frame pin cushions!
Don’t you just love Serendipity Stamps? Mary has such fabulous ideas…I have spent a small fortune over the years with her and there is no end in site – after all, the one who finishes with the most stamps wins don’t they? LOL
This most recent card of yours is gorgeous! As ususal, thanks so much for sharing your creativity with us!
Hugs and enjoy the rest of your July 4th weekend,

    Hi, Becca,
Found this site by accident… what a happy occasion ! Could you please help me find that source for the DVD clear cases you talked about in June 2009…I haven’t been able to locate them. I admit I’m not too adept at using the web for shopping but this would help me tremendously in organizing my spellbinders and clear stamps. Would truly appreciate the help. Thanks.

I had Key Lime Pie for dessert tonight. Absolutely YUM! I am diabetic and can only do this once in a while. We have found, though, that all the eggs in the Key Lime Pie keeps my blood sugar from going out of bounds. Cheesecake is the same. All the protein in it keeps the sugar from having much effect. Thank heaven! These are two of my favorite things and I don’t have to give them up now that I have diabetes. I hope I am not doing something wrong… I haven’t seen the challenge card today at all and my husband is ready to have me commited because I won’t step away from the computer!!
