Greeting blog friends!  I hope your week has been a sweet one!  Today is finding me a little bit under the weather, but no worries.  I’m never down for very long.  Hope you don’t mind if I make this brief.  I do have a card share, something that was in stages of completion that only took me minutes to polish off.  I’m using a sweet sentiment from Quietfire Design called The Love We Give Away – until I used it I didn’t realize how very many occasions it can be used for.  When the time comes to use this particular card, I’ll have another stamped sentiment for the inside that will hone in on the particular occasion while using the outside quote as a lead in line.

I used Spellbinders Creative Book Pages for a header that yields a different look.  This embossing folder practically begs for pearls or gems at each cross point.  Well, I faithfully obliged :-)

SUPPLIES I USED
Stamps: Quietfire Design – The Love We Give
Paper: Coredinations Pearl, The Paper Company, Bazzill
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black
Accessories: Spellbinders Creative Book Pages,
Sizzix Thank You Set #5 Embossing Folder, Recollections Pearls, Ribbon,

You are always sweet.  Thanks for stopping by to see me!

Hi there blog friends.  As promised, using random.org I drew a number for the Prima paper that was offered this week.  We have a winner!!  I hope you’ll take just a second to pop over and see if it is you.   I’m so thankful that you do that because lately, I haven’t had any unclaimed prizes, which is good :-)

The winner needs to reach out to me through the contact tab at the top of my blog page and leave a message for me with their mailing address.  Once confirmed, I’ll ship it out to you in my next post office run.  If no response is received within 48 hours, I’ll pick another name using random.org.

Keep your eyes peeled, I have another blog candy coming at the beginning of the month, because with your help I’ve reached another milestone.  It’s something I definitely don’t take for granted so in my book it’s a reason to celebrate.  Since I haven’t done a game in a while, this one will be a little bit different from other candy you see around blog land.  I’m going to publish the rules in advance so that you can be ready (insert mischievous grin, lol!!).

Thanks so much for your continued support, you all are the best!

Hi there blog friends!! I just love it when I have something for you to take a peek of.   This week we have new Our Daily Bread Design images that are scheduled for release on July 1 but I’m allowed to show one of them to you!!    I had quite the dilemma when I picked this image — my mojo said distress and my heart said don’t distress.   See, I’ve had that all week!   Mojo won and I’ll do another non-distressed version of this after July 1.   This is hands down the best flag image I have out of about four flag background stamps.    Why?   This one is the easiest to color.    I simply took three markers – a blue, a grey and a red and took my time covering the stamp.   Since it’s already shaded and distressed I didn’t have to do anything else.   I spritzed on some water then stamped on my kraft cardstock.   Easy, easy, easy!!    It doesn’t always have to be easy but I want to send more cards off to the troops and this one will work out quite nicely.

I’m actually showing parts of two different sets here.  The Flag Background is one and the big words belong to another – the two words I selected just seemed to fit perfect along the end of the card.  I know I’m covering up the stars and the detail on the left side, but trust me – you’ll see this background again.  I love patriotic stamps and have figured out that there are many more occasions to use them than just July 4th.  In this day and age, I bet you know what I mean :-)

SUPPLIES I USED
Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs – Flag Background, Big Words
Paper: My Minds Eye, Bazzill
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Vintage Photo Distress Ink, Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink
Accessories: Memento Markers, Seam Binding, Pearl Picks, Recollections Pearls, Lace, Silk Flower

Take care and have a wonderful, wonderful weekend!!

LOVE it! I love patriotic themes and red/white/blue. I’m sure that the troops will be pleased to get it.

I love this stamp. I am glad your mojo won out. The distressed look works perfect with this patriotic theme. You are going to brighten many soldier’s day when they receive one of your cards. Can’t wait for this line to come out on July 1st.
