Whilst I don’t buy from Etsy I would be more than happy to pay you an annual subscription. Your cards are a delight and an inspiration. I regularly buy craft magazines for ideas and what you provide knocks spots off any magazines I have read. I thoroughly enjoy your website so an annual subscription wouldn’t be a hardship so far as I am concerned.ReplyCancel

To see my Mojo Monday card for today, scroll down or click HERE.

Oh my goodness, I don’t know what to say, but there is an all star cast lined up to show you some stamping goodness today – what a way to start a Monday, right?!?   It was so fabulous when my friend Michelle invited me to join her stars for a  Stamper’s Dream Hop.   Well she sent me some goodies to work with and in the package was one of the new LaBlanche stamps that is out on the market.  People described them to me, but I just didn’t get it.  What a pleasant surprise!!  They are very different, but more on that later.  First, let me tell you a little bit about my project then I’ll show you the unique stamp I worked with.

The inspiration for my card was cupcake wrappers.  I have a set of white ones that look like filigree, so I pulled them out and used two of them on this card – one at the top and one at the bottom.  This is another tall and narrow card and the tulips stamps fits perfectly on the vertical, cut from Spellbinders Grand Labels Four.  Since I stamped on dark paper, I added just a hint of color with chalks.  I distressed my cupcake wrappers with Vintage Photo Distress Ink then added some Prima Bling, a Scor-Tape Flower and these petals.

These stamps are quite unique, the packaging says they are made from silicone and they have a foam mount. When you flip them over and ink them, see how fine the details are! This one was a dream to stamp with!  This one is inked up with Memento ink :-)

SUPPLIES I USED
Stamps: Stampers Dream – LaBlanche Tulips
Paper: Bazzill
Ink: Memento Onyx Black. Vintage Photo Distress Ink
Accessories: Spellbinders Grand Labels Four, Cupcake Wrapper, Prima Bling, Ribbon

Thanks for stopping by, now on to the rest of the designers.

  • Catherine from London, UKApril 11, 2011 - 4:59 pm

I love your cards today, and I particularly like the La Blanch stamp. I have many of these wonderful foam stamps (though not the one you used) but I have a problem: how do you store them? The acrylic ones are a doddle to store – old cd cases do mine – but these, particularly if you trim them so that they are all odd shapes (so that you don’t get ‘haloes’ round your image), are dreadfully difficult to store and still be able to see what you have got. I have them in two large ‘really useful’ storage boxes, one for florals and one for swirls, but it is not ideal as I have to unpack the boxes in order to find what I want in them and then put back the 3D jigsaw again. Becca, you and the contributors on here are really inventive, so any ideas? Please help!ReplyCancel

Gorgeous card, Becca and terrific ‘hop’.
I’ve been using these stamps for a while and if I may be so bold as to offer you a small tip, cut into your stamp and take away any excess that surround the image. Just use a scalpel to do so. It prevents any transferring of ink. The stamp doesn’t look very pretty afterwards, but it is very effective.
    Hugs,
    Trish xReplyCancel

Hi there blog friends!!  This is my second post today, you know I have to get my Mojo Monday on!!  Since I have another hop going on today too, I’m setting the time back on this a little bit so that it will appear second.  This is the sketch for Mojo Monday 186.  I love doing the sketches because I have to do them fairly quickly so that I can still have time to run my errands for the day.

I’m keeping it brief but I pretty much stayed true to the sketch.  For the round element I substituted a shirred or gathered flower that I had been playing around with.  I pulled out some of my fav K & Company paper and an embossing plate to add some texture to the card.  The sentiment is framed by Spellbinders Lacey Squares.

SUPPLIES I USED
Stamps: Wordsworth – Seize the Day
Paper: K & Company, Bazzill
Ink: Adirondack – Denim
Accessories: Spellbinders Lacey Squares, EK Success Border Punch, Recollections Gems, The Paper Studio Rhinestone, Ribbon, Gold Cord, Gold Ribbon

Thanks for peeking in!!! See ya tomorrow!

Great card. Like your take on the Mojo sketch and colors you used. I really like the texture on the solid blue piece. Is that done with the embossing plate or is it the way the card stock came? If it is an embossing plate, could you please tell me the company that makes it? Thanks.ReplyCancel
