Hi there blog friends. I ran out of steam yesterday and got up early this morning to do some creating. I put together a card so that I could show you the new flower that I’ve made into a tutorial. It was fun, I’ve been experimenting around with these flowers for quite some time and I think they’ll be easy to do when I’m in a pinch and need something for a card. I have to tell you, I’m loving this flower and am trying it out with several different widths of ribbon, The tutorial has already been taped and when I get home from my Stamp Club Meeting this afternoon, I’ll put it finish editing it and I’ll upload it here.
I cut a pretty simple medallion using Spellbinders Grand Ovals and Spellbinders Labels Eighteen which I grounded on a cross panel made using Spellbinders Jumbo Scalloped Border Petites and EK Success Abstract Flower Punch. It’s not quite as many layers as I accustomed to but it worked up quickly.
Remember to pop back in and see how easy the flower is to make when the tutorial is published this afternoon! Thank you all — your kindness keeps me inspired enough to sit down and craft :-)
Becca as always the flower is- B E A U T I F U L and simple. Thanks
Beca:
Can you tell me where you purchased your seam binding and how wide was the seam binding?

Amazing! Love, Love, Love this flower/bow. You are the Queen of ribbon!!! I love ribbon but can never do it the justice you do. Thanks for another wonderful tutorial. You always say it’s easy but this is the first one I think I can actually make without having to watch your video a dozen times.

Becca, you are a Ribbon Goddess! That was soooo neat. Can’t wait to try it myself. Thank you.
Thanks for a wonderful, step-by-step tutorial. You have such a calm, reassuring presence and make everyone feel that they can achieve this. I’m going to give this a try! (I’m not sure if seam binding is the same in Canada because the stuff I have certainly doesn’t look like this! It has edges that are folded in and it is primarily made of cotton.)
WOW! So fancy and LOOKS so easy. Will have to try that one for sure. I just might get hooked on ribbons yet! Thanks for sharing the great tutorial.
Wowee that’s so clever Becca and such a great tutorial…many thanks for sharing such a different way to make a flower.

My 5yr old son and I just watched your video. We decided to give this flower a try. I allowed him to choose the ribbon colour and he chose both Purple and Green. I thought “what the heck lets see if I can put the green on after finishing the purple.” It is sooooo cute. I will definitely be making more of these. Thank you for the tutorial it was so easy to follow.

You create such beautiful things everyday that I can’t imagine that you have any free time to go looking for new ideas or create your own ideas. Thank yoy Becca. Love the flower and a great tutorial.
I absolutely flower due to the fact it is sooo mailable! Great tutorial AGAIN, thanks Becca!
Thanks Becca, looks fairly easy to do and so beautiful. Will have to give it a try. Dianne
Your score-tape flower is simply amazing, I think maybe I can even do
that! Gorgeous too!
I love this! It is doable and the results are great! I have had a blast making these and only wish I had the right sized adhesive. Can you see me trying to trim my thick 1/2 inch adhesive strips into three equal thinner strips? It is a funny sight, but my ribbon flowers are pretty anyhow!! Thanks for another great tutorial !
So COOL Becca, I need to try this sometime!!~
Becca, this is GENIUS!!!! I think these are absolutely beautiful, and the design is SO clever!! Thank you for being constantly thinking of new and ingenius ways to elevate this craft. I have mountains of ribbon, and will definitely be making your Becca Roses!
Hugs,
BettyBee
Becca, I am impressed by this! Very, very cool!!!
Thank you for the tutorial. I just got some of that seam binding after seeing it on Sherry Cheever’s blog. I really like it.
Hello Becca,
I visit you here every day but today I really want to thank you for all the inspiration and brilliant tutorials you give to us.
I tried out this flower and although the ribbon wasn´t long enough and the ruler to big, it turned out so pretty.
I linked to you and this post and I hope, it´s ok for you. If not, please tell me and I will fix it.
Thank you for being you and bringing us so much inspiration!
Hugs, Tina
Becca, I love that you did your ribbon with scor tape, i have seen it done with sewing it almost exactly, but my sewing machine sometimes does not cooperate, so this is a good alternative for me and faster it seems too! ~Gin~
thanks for the tutorial!!! :)
very pretty, I had never made those when I was younger, and I like how they flatten down for putting in an envelope! Thanks for sharing the video!
Thanks Becca! Such a sweet flower- love it!
