Hello there blog friends! Carol was so sweet yesterday – she emailed me to claim her Prima paper and I wanted to let everyone know. It will go out in the mail soon. In the meantime my post for today is going to be very brief. I have a card to share and the details are very simple. You see, I wanted to use that organdy ribbon that I used to make a test bow from. So basically, I’m backing into this card bow first, which I never do.

I picked some of the springy K & Company paper that had both white and yellow in it. The focal image is actually a K & Company die cut that is ready to use out of the package. I layered behind it a doily from stash (so old I cannot remember when I bought those)! Behind that layer, another with both sides bordered with EK Success Abstract Flowers. Pearls and big double tailed bow. That’s it!

SUPPLIES I USED
Stamps: None
Paper: K & Co.
Ink: None
Accessories: EK Success Abstract Flower, Pearls, OrgandyRibbon

I hope where ever you are, it’s a beautiful day.  Get out and enjoy it!!

This is a very Spring like card, my favourite time of year. Gardens and grass verges by the roadside are being covered with daffodils at the moment which is lovely…..so it won’t be long till our tulips are out too.

Becca, love, love, love this card, but that is nothing new as I love, love, love all your creations! You provide me so much inspiration, thank you! A quick question, do you use a standard size for cards? I know sometimes you list a specific size for the card but most of the time you do not. Just wondering if there is a size you prefer to work with regularly? Thanks! Love ya!ReplyCancel

She brought your gorgeous cards to our stamp group, so we could see first-hand just how marvelous they are. They are always so pretty to see on the blog, but OH, how much more wonderful to see up close & personal. Thanks so much for sharing your special creativity with Martha & all of us. Becca,

I’ve followed your blog for a long time. Your cards are beautiful and inspiratonal. Often your words bring tears to my eyes. I tried for years to create cards following your lead, but never could get all the elements together.

So, I moved on. Then the great God above who is always good, gave me something I could do better, and love!

As I was writing my blog today, I kept thinking of you. I can only believe He was bringing you to my mind. So, I want to share today’s bit with you. Hope you can find time to drop by.

I tried for a couple of years to follow your lead, but could never get all the elements of cardmaking together. The good Lord gave me another hobby – jewelry making. Lol, do you remember Wednesday when I mentioned that I sing all the time and challenged you to tell me what was on your song list (if you dared)!  What a wonderful day!!  For every comment that would come in with a list of artists, I would remark – Oh yeah, I forgot about them.  Ooooooh, there were so many good ones.  There were very few that I didn’t know – many of you said the same thing!!  Well, it seems like we got a bunch of singers here!!

I used Random.org to pick a number – it picked #137 which belongs to Carol Froehlich.  Carol send me your address through my contact page and I’ll get the Prima out to you wwhen I make my next post office run!

I’m so behind in my blog reading. I’m just seeing this. I’m a generation of the Beatles and love them. I listen to a bit of everything. One song that always makes me feel good plays on my blog for pet lovers TaggerPaws . It’s Somewhere over the Rainbow by
Israel Iz Kamakawiwo’ole . If you’ve never heard his version you’re in for a treat. He has passed on but his version of that song will live on forever.

I sooo appreciate your use of these colors. I would never imagine the combination would work, but when I see how you have used them I find they are rich and complimentary. Just brilliant!!ReplyCancel
