Welcome to the Our Daily Bread Designs Third Anniversary Release Blog Hop!   If you got here from Grace Nywening’s fabulous blog, you are in the right place!   If not, you might want to start at the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog and hop from there!

Every year Our Daily Bread Designs take the scriptures that all the Designers submit and combine them into several beautiful anniversary scripture sets. These are my most favorite sets and they stay right on the edge of my desk as the words cover every card occasion you could imagine. I think I wait all year for this and the reveal is simply beautiful. Behind the scenes we all swoon the first time we see them!! Well, now we can show them to you. I think it’s extra special when we see the scripture we’ve each picked made into a finished stamp. Mine is Psalm 84:11 and is one of six scripture stamps in Scripture Collection 6.  Of course, the words are extra special to me and have so helped me in my journey over the past 6 months.

For my card I decided to go dressy.  The occasion could be a wedding, confirmation, christening or many other events.  I chose gold, white and pearls for the regal feel and I thought it went well with the scripture.  I used Spellbinders Elegant Posts, Spellbinders Labels Eighteen, Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Rectangles and Spellbinders Mega Ovals LG and Spellbinders Fancy Tags Two in addition to my sentiment from Scripture Collection 6.   Below you will find all the particulars for the hop and the prizes.

Hop Particulars:
The Hop will run from 8:00 am EST on March 17th until 8:00 pm EST on March 18th. The winners will be announced on the ODBD Blog on Saturday, March 19th along with the Shining the Light winners and challenge.  For this special event, there will be SIX PRIZES of One Free Set, and ONE GRAND PRIZE of the Bread Basket Bundle (All 3 Anniversary Sets)

How to Enter the Drawing:
*Leave comments for each designer on each blog.
*Return to the ODBD Blog and leave a comment, telling us you completed the hop

Hi there blog friends.  Happy St. Patricks Day!!  Thanks so much for your kind comments on the Double Tailed Bow Tutorial.  I hope you’ve given it a try.  Don’t forget, you have until Friday morning to add a comment telling me about your favorite music.  It’s a small blog candy but the Prima paper is absolutely scrumptious.  It was just like picking up a letter from old friends to read the hilarious comments that came through.

There’s a lot going on at Amazing Paper Grace and I just wanted to run down some of what is coming up and share some notes that haven’t found room to fit into the busy posts of this week.

The 3rd Anniversary Celebration for Our Daily Bread Designs starts on Thursday, March 17th at 7:00 CST.  There are so many prizes given that your chances are good if you enter.  Remember, you have to enter to win – pop by early in the morning and I’ll have the details.  Plus the new Anniversary Sets are amazing – they’ll be revealed then.  Hope to see you there!!

The comments are coming in for 31 Days to a Frugal Crafter.  If you have any frugal tips, I’d love for you to share them.  Although I’m still working on the 31 Days to an Organized Stamper page, I’m getting the hang of the new challenge and it will move faster in the future.

Keep your eyes peeled for a special Blog Hop by JustRite Designers next week as well as a Spring Blog Hop by Spellbinders Designers.  There are prizes to be had during each of these events.  For the Spellbinders events, on the day that share my project – you’ll be able to leave comments on my blog for a Spellbinders prize.

Please vote in my poll on the right hand side bar – it’s quick and it’s been fun for me seeing the results!!

If you’ve taken a second look throughout my blog, I’ve been bringing all the favorite tutorials (that were so hard to find on my old blog) and Becca Bits back online.  They were hidden but now most of them are showing up under the proper categories.  Click around, you’ll be surprised what you’ll find!!  That’s it friends.  See you in the morning with the ODBD Blog Hop.  Thanks for letting me wedge in this notice!

Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring is my favorite. I grew up in a small town that had a music summer camp for talented teens and this was a standard each summer, usually with oboe for solo parts. I’ll take it with any instruments, however. Have it on my list for funeral (if they feel I have to have one!) :)ReplyCancel

Happy St Patrick’s Day indeed…and on this day I would have to say that I love the tune ‘St Patrick’s Breastplate’ – it is usually accompanied by sacred words which are very meaningful. We (Northern Ireland) use this day to remember that St Patrick brought the Gospel to Ireland, pure and simple, and showed us how to live as God would have us live. From the green fields of Northern Ireland where Patrick tended his sheep we wish you a happy day wherever in the world you are.ReplyCancel

My favorite music is a tie between classical and sacred. I’m a trained singier and taught elementary music in the schools for 31 years before retiring. I sing in great group and also direct a church choir and chime choir. I get so much solace from music. It is what keeps me going most days. I love all your designs and look forward to each and every creation. Thanks for all your inspiration.

I have to say that my favorite music is 60’s and 70’s. Even my 24 yr old son loves it. I guess my favorite artist is Bob Seger. My husband and I went to see him in Knoxville a few years ago, and he was wonderful. It was amazing to see the fan base………little kids with their parents, and older “kids” with their parents in wheelchairs and on walkers and canes. It was a wonderful evening I will never forget. Hi Becca

I’ve not been around recently to comment – so this one is coming pretty late – but just wanted to say that I’ve saved all my emails from you (subscription emails) so that I could still keep up with you.

I’m loving the bow tutorial, and can’t believe how busy you have been – I’ve not read all the later posts yet, but I’ve missed all the chances for candy, but then again, its not what I come here for, so will still be reading even though all those dates are now about 3 weeks ago!!

I hope you are well, take good care of yourself,

Hi there blog friends!!!  I’m so excited because I have a new bow to share made using my Peg Bow Maker!!!  This was originally one of those things that went wrong and I kept looking at it and really, really liked it.  After a couple of days of testing it out, I figured out how to make it consistently and can share it with you on a video.  Now it’s an elegant, decadent looking bow, but then you’re not surprised, are you?  Okay, so I pulled together a quick sample card to show you what the bow looks like.

About the card…I dug out this round medallion originally made by K and Company.  Of course it was something I hoarded, until it was no longer current and I had completely forgotten about it – why do I do that??!!?   I’ll list it in my recipe but you probably cannot find these medallions.  Heck it was so old that the resin had yellowed — in fact, I had to distress the matching paper with Antique Linen Distress Ink.   But, it perfectly matched the ribbon I wanted to use to make the sample card, lol. This is a 5″ x 7″ card that I included two matted layers.  I glued on the medallion, added the bow and at the bottom, my sentiment by Quietfire Design (a new one) called The Doors We Open and Close.  How true is that?

SUPPLIES I USED
Stamps: Quietfire DesignThe Doors We Open and Close
Paper:  K and Company, Strathmore Acrylic, Bazzill
Ink: Stormy Sky Distress Ink, Antique Line Distress Ink
Accessories: Martha Stewart Photo Punch, K & Company Medallion, Ribbon

After a year online, this video was retired. I spent a year perfecting the bows and techniques and remade all the videos into a collection I’m really proud of. This particular bow is now tied very differently after I refined the technique. The collection can be found on the DVD that accompanies the professional looking version of the bowmaker – HERE.

This was a fun make today – time goes fast when I have the music on.  I was up early and me and my ipod were in concert in the studio this morning, lol – oh, and we were hot!!  In fact, Rascal Flatts and I messed up a couple of sheets of pricey cardstock this morning because we got carried away.  It’s a little know fact that I sing all the time.  I’m sure for some people it’s horrible, but I can’t help it – my husband must have learned how to tune me out because he never said anything.  I am that lady in the car next to you who is definitely singing and bopping and the only way I’d be embarrassed is if you heard me.   To this day I don’t know how people walk around with head sets on, listening to music, without having to tap their feet or sing?  And I listen to everything…in the studio it’s Rascal Flatts or Journey, in the car it’s Casting Crowns, in the house it’s Usher or Michael Buble, in the shower it’s . . . well, you get the picture.  Every where music, every kind of music.

So who or what are you singing today?

I have some low key candy I’m going to give out today if you are brave enough to leave a comment and tell me us :-)  I have some 12×12 sheets of double sided dreamy Prima paper (10 of them I think) that will go out to one winner.  I’ll pull a random name on Friday, how about that?

An interesting bow idea. I love the way everything blends together. Most mornings I am singing in my head (wouldn’t dare sing it aloud though cause I am surrounded by all male family members) are the hymns that have been sung in church the previous Sunday. Our church has a wonderful song leader who really lets his love of the Lord shine. It gets me thru many a time dealing with my husband and sons. Heehee! Thanks Becca for all that you do.ReplyCancel

    Hi Becca –

Oh I love this card! The sentiment is just so wonderful and your bow, yummy! And as for music, I see you are a kindred spirit, my husband unfortunately is not as sweet as your husband was. When I sing at home (all the time) he loves to come downstairs and say “Are you feeling alright dear, I thought I heard you groaning?” Comedian!!
This morning on the way into the office, in the pouring rain, I was singing along with Bruno Mar’s “Grenade” . Heck, I was bouncing around in the car, seat dancing (you know, when your body bops and sways with your butt in on the car seat – LOL)? I happened to be at a stop light at a very dramatic moment in the song and I was acting out the song, when I glanced over and saw a man watching me and laughing. Well I’m glad I made his day – LOL!

Since I am at work all day we usually listen to the radio and the song that always brings a smile to my face is “What’s Love Got to do With It” by Tina Turner. My son used to ride his big wheel to the top of the driveway at his grandparents’ house and then race as fast as he could down the drive way singing that at the top of his lungs. How lovely. A new bow that I probably can’t tie, I’m sooooo bow challenged. Yours are alway elegant. I almost always add ribbon somewhere but not nearly as creative as yours. I sing in my car, or when I’m home alone, which is not so oftern. If I watch an old musical, which I did this week, a song will get stuck in my head, and I’ll sing it until something replaces it. We sing in our Sunday Bible Class and sometimes a song will be with me all week from there also. I don’t think you can be unhappy while you’re singing so it’s good therapy.ReplyCancel

As far as singing out loud…well, I was damaged in 6th grade by a boy named Lee. He stopped the class and told the teacher I was singing flat. Can you believe that. Dum da dum da dum dum pah dum pah dum….ReplyCancel

What a beautiful bow and card. i am really a type of person that likes peace and quiet. The only time I will have music on is in the car and I dont really sing to it unless it is a song that I really like which would be a country music singer. My kids LOVE music and are always plugged into some kind of music it seems.ReplyCancel

    HI Becca
OOOOhhh I am so glad you are sharing this gorgeous bow -cant’ wait to try it.

I am another car dancer- well singing too – all the time – in the car- in the house – in the grocery store ( dancing too) in Michael’s –anywhere — music is good for the soul!! Some of my family members( daughter) would be happy not to hear it but I do it anyway!!ReplyCancel

  • gltinnolaMarch 16, 2011 - 10:37 am

    Hey Becca,

I share your sentiments on singing and music everywhere, all the time. I have a gazillion songs on my computer and I play them all day while I’m at work. The radio’s always on in the car and I sing constantly all throughout the day. My husband says to me all the time that he can’t believe I know the words to so many songs, but I do and if I don’t I find the lyrics on my computer. I hate to hear anyone sing the wrong words to song, particularly one of my favs. I sing so much I can’t tell you what song it is. Just know that there’s always music in my heart and a song on my lips!

Have a great day and thanks for the new bow video.ReplyCancel

WOW, another gorgeous bow — I have “bow envy” — LOL! I too hoard things until they’re totally outdated — I do not know why?!!!
I’m always singing anything country, but really like all sorts of music. It’s truly one of the most wonderful gifts God gave us, as is the sweet bird singing just outside my window now — small joys!!! ;-)ReplyCancel

  • Mary AnnMarch 16, 2011 - 10:41 am

Hi Becca! I sing all the time too. I’m sure I make some people smile when they look in their rear view window and see me belting out my song! I listen to mostly country, and I love the female artists like Carrie Underwood and Martina McBride. But right now my favorite CD in my car is my Disney CD. I love the songs on their from Pocaontas, Beauty in the Beast and Little Mermaid!

Oh and by the way….I have a couple of those medallions too that I’ve been hoarding. They are SOOooooo-so pretty. I’m sure I picked them up at Michael’s at one point in a clearance bin! I’m saving them for something special — I just haven’t come across that “special” occasion yet! LOL!!ReplyCancel

Singing only to myself as have an awful voice. I don’t even sing in church. I like the oldies. Have the CD player going in my work room when I’m there and the car when we or I are in it. Almost any oldies, but love the
    B Gees.

Love your double tailed bow and anxious to see the video of it. Pretty card with the bow also. Edna B.ReplyCancel

I could totally relate to singing in the car. Besides church, that is probably the only other place I sing out loud – and sing I do! My car rides consist mostly of hymns. Something about the sound of an organ draws my heart and spirit into “Just a Closer Walk With Thee.”ReplyCancel

  • Pat KinserMarch 16, 2011 - 10:52 am

Good morning Becca on this fine sunshiny day! I love the big band era of music. My Dad listened to this music all the time so I grew up on it. My comfort music is smooth jazz. Love to work listening to itunes smooth jazz stations. Here, in Oklahoma, we have a lot of country western. I like the more “modern” country western in the car. The love ballads from the 80’s were some of my favorite songs. I guess if I had to pick a most favorite it would be any song by Michael Buble or Celine Dion.

And if you really want to know something weird, I woke up on Saturday morning with “We’re off to see the Wizard, the wonderful Wizard of Oz” stuck in my head and then I went to Michael’s and wouldn’t ya know it, I was searching for some pictures for my sister and came across one of The Wizard of Oz, craaazy right!!

Beautiful bow! I was so inspired by your bows that I made my own pegboard and now hardly ever tie a bow strictly by hand. I love to sing whatever is on the iPod, radio, CD (whatever modality I’m listening to), but I’m partial to golden oldies and country. I also love folk songs and children’s songs (so much nostalgia). Anyway, thanks for the tutorial on this bow and all the other ones you have made.ReplyCancel

Hi Becca, I have to check in every day to see what your creative juices have produced. I’m always knocked off my chair seeing all that you create. You have a special gift, sister, that inspires each of us every day. I have been humming ‘Amazing Grace’ since I saw a program on public TV presented by ‘Celtic Woman’, a very inspirational and angelic sounding group of beautiful young women and their back up orchestra and choir. I believe they are from Ireland, so very appropriate with the holiday just around the corner. I just have to get one of their CDs.

Hi Becca! I had to laugh at your singing story. I guess I’m sort of like that too… singing along with my music… and like you I like many different kinds of music. Here’s my “fuuny”… my husband and I have found that Michaels has the best music playing in their stores. Now usually he’s with me as I shop since I’m visually impaired and can’t drive there myself, but once in a while if he has an errand to run, he will leave me there to look on my own and when I’m by myself, I always seem to find myself singing along with the music and then I come to myself and realize there are other people going by who might be listening to me! LOL!! But, to name a few favorites that I enjoy listening to, that would be Elvis, Anne Murray, Celine Dion and many, many others… yeah… I prefer music from times past for the most part… back when there was real music.ReplyCancel

Although I always have a song in my heart and in my head I don’t sing out loud unless I am sure there is no one within ear shot. I always think “Make a joyful noise on to the Lord” but I was not blessed with a voice meant for singing and I don’t have the heart to torture anyone with it but when I’m alone like in the car and with the windows up I SING. DH followed me home one day and said he thought I was having a spell. It does feel good to let it out.

I love your bow – and your question about the music makes me laugh! My husband is always teasing me and telling the grandkids “your Nana is in the kitchen dancing again”. I sing and dance to all kinds of stuff but today when I read this it was “Love to Lay You Down” by Conway Twitty. When this song first came out I was young and was singing and did not even think about what it meant (or could even possibly mean). I was in the kitchen with my Mom and all of a sudden when I was walking by singing she swatted me right square on the bottom and said “that is the filthiest song I have ever hear and I don’t want to hear you sing that again!” And all I could say was “what” in a very surprised voice. I have never forgotten the song or what she said – and the memory still makes me grin or even laugh out loud because I know if she was still here she would still probably swat me!ReplyCancel

The bow is just gorgeous! I would like to make a peg bow maker as it looks easier than my bow-easy. Of course the Bow-Easy has the benefit of being flat so I can bring it along when I stamp with friends!

What thrilled me today was your comments about singing. I LOVE to sing and I sound TERRIBLE, lol! Luckily (I choose to think of it that way) I now live alone with my two cats. When I start belting out a tune they both come running to wherever I am and sit down to watch the show! They don’t care if I’m flat and they make a great audience, except for their expressions which are more “what on earth is she doing?” than admiration, lol!!!!ReplyCancel

Hi Becca! I was wondering who that crazy lady in the car next to me was!!
(Just kidding…I was looking in the mirror at MYSELF!!)
I’m always singing in my head….rarely out loud…my voice is awful and I know it! BUT, music is a huge part of my life (I play the violin), so I love it!
Casting Crowns is a fave of mine too…usually in the car!
The only bad thing about having music go through my head constantly is that whatever I hear last sticks…whether it’s a hymn from church (GOOD), or a commercial from the tv before I go to bed! (BAD)
I will wake up in the morning with that ditty floating through my head and realized that I’d been mentally humming/singing it over and over all night!!
Sometimes I even make sure I have hymn going through my head before I fall asleep so that it will be primary in my thoughts….usually works too!
I love your bow and your bow maker….I think I’m going to have to get the supplies to make one…bows are the perfect ending to any card, and yours especially!
Thanks so much for giving us such easy to follow directions too…sometimes people try but leave out such things as how to hold the ribbon or snip the ends to keep it easy.
Blessings to you…I still pray for you!!!

I love a good mix of current and older stuff. On the player at home I’m currently listening to Kutless, Casting Crowns, Newsboys, Jesus Culture and Jeremy Camp. And I DO sing out loud!!! So much fun. Thanks for the fun challenge! :)ReplyCancel

Becca this bow is gorgeous… It’s eye-popping :o) WOW! & Thanks so much for the video… that’s the way I learn best!

I’m like you in that I love all types of music… And I sing out loud all the time! Love it!!! Now, my son is home on Spring Break, and we watched “Starsky & Hutch” with Ben Stiller & Owen Wilson together this afternoon. So, I have been singing “Don’t Give Up on Us, Baby” by David Soul (the original “Hutch”) since then…. I know, not the best song but brings me back to the ’70’s for sure!
    Thanks, Becca!ReplyCancel

Hi Becca–another beautiful card and bow. I wish my hand would be a gracious as yours handling the ribbon. You just have such a special way of making those bows–I practice-but have not quite gotten it yet. I love to listen to George Strait–he just takes me to another world. But at times I love to hear Oldies–those get me dancing–but have to tone it down when I am cutting or putting tape or glue on my projects. My husband at times will have Christmas music and I will listen and get really inspired. Thank you for all your wonderful ideas.ReplyCancel

Hi Becca another beautiful bow and card. I wish I could be as gracious as you are with making these bows. I watch your video and I do practice but have not gotten it quite yet. I love to hear George Strait his voice just takes me to another world. Sometimes I will hear oldies and I start dancing–have to be careful though especially when I am cutting or putting tape or glue down on my projects. My husband loves Christmas music and when he has those CD’s going I really get inspired. Thank you so much for all your beautiful ideas. Let’s keep rockin!!!!!!!!!!!!ReplyCancel

  • GerryMarch 16, 2011 - 2:29 pm

The music that sticks in my head is generally the last anthem the choir sings on Sunday. I listen to classical music just about 24/7, but I like just about every genre (except rap and metallic hard rock). Occasionally, I get nostalgic and have to listen to golden oldies, esp from the 50s. I love your bows and have started using them more often myself.ReplyCancel

Oh Becca it is such a relief to hear that someone who is normal, yet someone who I respect because she is talented and a christian, sings 24/7!!! I too have a WONDERFUL husband who has NEVER asked me to stop singing or ever said you sing bad. In fact now after 32 years of marriage he is singing more times than not when home! I ALWAYS have a song in my head. I think singing makes me happy, makes me upbeat and when I am down, it picks me up. I can hear one word and I can give you a song with that word in it. I love Name That Tune!ReplyCancel

I love this elegant bow. I have to get a peg board made, so I can make these.
I too, love to listen to music while I am an my craft room. I listen to Pandora, but recently found “Grooveshark” and like it better because you can request the exact artist or song and replay it (you can’t do this on Padora)My range of music is as wide as yours. Everything from country to classical. I love the Canadian Tenors.
The other day, my 5 yr old grandaughter came over and we made a miniature fairy house. When I asked her what kind of music she wanted to listen too, she sd “fairy music of course, Nindy” (Nindy is what the grandkids call me- its’ between Nanny and Cindy) She loves watching your tutorials. She is home-schooled, so I teach her the arts and crafts curriculum. At 5, she doesn’t ask for crayons, oh no, it’s – ” pass the spellbinders please, or tattered angels, or bone folder. Hey Becca, I’m definately going to have my bofriend make me a peg thingy when he comes back from being a good son. He’s helping his mom while she endures radiation and chemo. He’s been gone almost a month. And I miss him terribly. I don’t know whether he’ll come back here or my mom and I will have to move up there, so he can work and someone will be with both the mom’s while he’s working. Either way, I’ll be having him build me a peg bow maker. Thanks a bunch for all your gorgeous creations!

I vote you to be the best bow maker on the internet. You’ve got to be because your bows are A Maz Ing! This is just beautiful and I’m off to try my hand at making one.

I let a comment back when you first introduced the “Peg” bow maker. I had a friend help me make one and I love it. I think of you and your wondrous talent when I look at it and hope it will make me make better bows and cards.

so gald to see the “bow peg in action” now that I see how it works I will have to make one.
I love all kinds of music , from my age the 80’s to current, we went to a wedding last week and everyone was suprised to see that I knew all the songs and dances to all of them. last year my husband worked out of state and my kids ( 20,21,24,25) moved into their own apartment ( yeah they WERE best of friends ,18 months later they are finding their own places in may lol.) so I was on my own and had much more time to make cards I was blog hopping and listening to everyones music that would come on so my music really started opening up I would stay up all night making cards and singing. I think the type of music Im listening to really decideds what direction my card will take . So glad to see Im not the only one who bopping around in my car.lol have a good one Becca and all of u in cyber spaceReplyCancel

Love the bow! Between you and your bows and Jerri with her flowers, my craft room is really starting to look very femine! When I am not in the mood to make a card, I make bows or flowers so that when the card mood hits me, I can quickly pull together the items I need and it doesn’t take me hours to do so. Thanks for sharing the newest item ;) As for music, my heart soars when I listen to Herbie Mann’s Jazzill Brazz. Jazz just puts me in such a creative mood. I love to sing as well, but then my concentration is more on the words and song so my creativity suffers just a tad, but when I sing it is to the local Christian music station. thanks again! spell a name etc and then inserted into the board. (I didn’t get the letters). The cost of the board with the dowels was $1.80 with a 40% off coupon. The regular pricewas $2.99. Thanks!!ReplyCancel

    Good Morning Becca
    What a grand Bow!!
A bow this beautiful would make anyone feel extra special even if the card was made from newspaper.
One of my favorite songs is – Delta Dawn by Tanya Tucker, every time I hum it in my head, it takes me back to being a teenager, which was a long long time ago ;-)
Thank you for always being such an inspiration to us all.
    Hugs & Smiles

Oh Becca your bow is sooooo amazing, and I just LOVE it. Thanks god for all your small accidents this way ha ha ha. And your card is amazing too. Also just love that medaillon, so a shame, it´s not available anymore, but will just try and find something else to use like it.
I always loves to sing too. I know, I have a horrible voice, but I also know, that it´s said, that every bird sings with it´s own beak, so I admit, I sing, when I feel for it. Then my husbond sometimes can come and ask, if there´s anything he can do for me, cause he was afraid, something had gone terribly wrong, since I was moaning soo loud LOL. But at least my grandkids just loves to hear me sing, and often asks me to sing this or that for them ha ha ha. These days it´s a brand new song, I can´t get out of my head, as we had our local contest here in my country this saturday for the Eurovision songcontest, and one of tose has just got into my head soo bad, I can´t get it out again LOL, so I sure hope, it wins in the big contest. I´m sorry I can´t remember the words or the title, but the tune just keeps on and on in my head and I´ve been humming it ever since he he he.
I hope, you´ll all have a wonderful week ahead with lots of song and music in your lifes, as it makes us to happy persons.ReplyCancel

I have a very dear little l9 month old friend who has me stuck on Winnie the Pooh songs …mostly Heffalumps and Wuzzles! I find myself singing them as I work, drive and “stand in lines”! :) But mostly, how fun to “sing” them with her! Music has the most amazing ability to raise the spirits and I find myself praising God in songs and hymns more and more.

Your double tail bow is beautiful! I hope I can learn to do justice to it.ReplyCancel

Thanks for the tutorial I love your bows and have made my own boy maker. Well sorta, my son cut the wood base, hubby did the dowels and my son also did the sanding. I did the painting and pattern on it.
As for songs that would be today Lonestar and the song Amazed. I love that song. I also listen to Alan Jackson, love all his music to. Music makes me relax so good therapy along with my stamping and crafting.

I love the double tailed bow and will have to try it.You always come up with such great ideas. Thanks for sharing them with us. My music tastes are eclectic. Last month I would have said my favorite music was from Phantom of the Opera as my children were in their high school performance of that wonderful play. All the kids were so amazing- people could not believe they were teens as their voices are so mature. For at least a week afterwards the songs were playing through my mind. At this time I am listening to contemporary Christian music. It can encourage, soothe, and strengthen me. I trust you have a blessed day!ReplyCancel

Your work is amazing! I always find myself holding my breath when I see your post in my in box and I must say I am never disappointed.
I very much enjoy Van Morrison, his music transports me to another time and at the same time helps me search deep inside myself. On the other side of the spectrum I enjoy the piano music of David Lantz. Have a great day!ReplyCancel

I just love your bows Becca. I’ve been practicing but they never turn out as pretty as yours! I have music playing all the time. Depending on my mood and what I am doing the music style changes. I love all music but if I had to pick one kind it would be rock-n-roll. Favorite song–Somewhere Over the Rainbow!

Becca, love this video. You are great at making bows and teaching. I can’t wait to get my bow maker made. I went to the home improvement store and of course they don’t sell the corbels I need. Sad to say, I got rid of a pair of these a while back because I didn’t think I would use them. I will keep looking. Thank you for the inspiration. I love Christian music & hymns.

oohhhhhh, dear. Do I have to admit this? My son and I were listening to a “Hank the Cowdog” story CD in the car yesterday, and I have “The Coldweather Cowdog Blues” song stuck in my head. It’s alternating between that and the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse “HOT DOG!” theme song (and dance)!

I really like Britt Nicole…my daughters are pre-teen and teen, and she speaks to them. She also speaks to the teen in me that never grew up. Oh, if I had only known the Lord then like I know Him now. With Him and Britt, I feel my “inner-girl” would have been so much more at peace. I am grateful He opened my eyes, even if it wasn’t until I was 29! Better late than never!

I signed up to become a member after I completed the hop, I looked at the wonderful stamps and offerings on your store front, and watched your slideshow on the gallery pages! The element that stood out on your cards were the beautiful bows you tie! I am overwhelmed at their beauty! Thanks so very much for sharing your talent with us. God Bless You and your family Becca. I rarely sing out loud, not even in Church, but music is always running through my head. Usually it’s what I’ve heard last, though ZipADeeDooDah crops up every once in a while out of the blue. I saw Song of the South when i was very young and moviegoing was an infrequent occasion for me. I just loved the ‘bluebird on my shoulder.’ That scene with Uncle Remus walking down the road is about all I remember of the movie and it will probably never be shown again in today’s world. I can’t even tell you what the gist of the moral was. Overall, though, I’m awed by the wonderful lyrics to music that have been created…what poets the lyricists are. I guess I admire music too much to ruin a good thing by singing out loud. LOLReplyCancel

First, what a beautiful bow and awesome tutorial. As for music, I loved Journey when I was in high school and I still love them. Sammy Hagar is what I listen to when I have “attitude” and currently my favorite song by Casting Crowns is East to West…. that song helps heal my soul. :)ReplyCancel

I watched your tutorial over and over on making a peg bow. I finally mastered the bow, but not the dowel stand, yet! I was snowed in when I was trying to learn to tie the bow. I had to improvise, so I used two clothes pins clamped to a box. It was not as secure as the dowels would be, but it worked. These bows are so pretty.

I love your site and have it in my favorites. Your cards are beautiful and I love the inspirational quotes you have. Looking at your blog is one of the high lights of my day!ReplyCancel

Becca I just made your new bow and I love it. I didn’t have the dowel stand yet so I asked my husband if he would make me one. He looked at yours and your instructions and made mine. He was so impressed with your handy work particularly with the fact that you offset one peg hole by an inch and a half! Thanks so much for your tutorial.ReplyCancel

For music – I simply looooooooooove all kinds of music – country, bluegrass, pop, rock, R&B … my iPod is my constant companion when I’m stamping! One of my all-time favorites are Alison Krauss and Union Station…love her voice, their music and can’t wait for their new CD to come out in April!ReplyCancel

My absolute favorite music to listen to is my husband playing his arrangements of hymns on the piano. He mixes lots of runs, scales, arpeggios & chords into gorgeous arrangements that I never tire of hearing.

Becca- I so appreciated this tutorial- well, all of yours!!! I had made a ribbon holder a few years back- a piece of wood with a 3′ dowel rod stuck in. I ended up not using it for long for it’s intended purpose, but I saved it. Yeah- I drilled a few more holes, cut the dowel into pieces and made a double bow. I turned out beautifully, even though the only wide ribbon I had on hand was wired. The result was perfect and I used it on a gift box. If you want to see the box I made, look up tlgirl353 on SCS. Thanks you so so much!ReplyCancel
