Really!!  It honestly doesn’t get any easier than this, lol!  I have less than an hour invested in this card but I’m pleased as punch.  You see, one of my Quietfire Design team mates is hosting a challenge over on Two Peas and I was fretting about whether I would have time enough to enter.  So, I’m checking it off my list :-)  I absolutely love this sentiment!!  No telling why I went with the red and white other than I love them and to me it makes the card jump out at you.
By the way, if you have some sweet sentiments you’d like to show off, head on over here to check out the rules for this ultra simple challenge in the Winterfest 2011 and give it a whirl!!

I’m under the gun to get some cards out in the mail, so I’ve decided that this will be the format for my mailing, er..um..minus the gems, lol!  I love it when a plan comes together.  Speaking of plan, I hope yours includes some me time or craft time!!

HOW IT’S MADE

1. Make Card Base – mine is 5″ x 6.5″
2. Cut paper 4.25″ x 5.5″ and emboss.
3.
Stamp sentiment and adhere to a slightly larger mat with foam tape.
4. Tie Ribbon, adhere focal panel to base using foam tape.
5. Adhere a gem to each embossed line intersection. (80) and 1 pearl at center.

SUPPLIES I USED
Stamps: Quietfire Design – To Create Is to Touch
Paper: Strathmore Acrylic
Ink: Colorbox Pigment Ink – Cranberry
Accessories:  Satin Ribbon, Pearl, Ruby Gems, Clear Embossing Powder. Sizzix Embossing Plate – Thank You Set #5

Be sweet and enjoy your day!!

Happy Monday Blog Friends!! I have a quick card to share with you today. For the past several weeks I’ve been playing along with Mojo Monday and since I find that that works well for me, I’m at it again today. It really helps me break outside of my box and perhaps use things that I don’t normally use on a card. I pulled out some of my favorite muted K & Company paper and flowers and got started.  This is Mojo Monday 181 – what a pretty sketch!!

I was pretty true to the sketch and worked it up quite quickly this morning. I’m moving on to some “have to do” things, so this is a welcome break for me.  Off to get coffee and contemplate over my chore list!!  By the way, son’s birthday dinner last night was fabulous.  Sheesh, I still can’t believe he is 21.

SUPPLIES I USED
Stamps: Printworks Sentiment
Paper: K & Company
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Back
Accessories: Prima Lace, Recollections Flowers, Pearls, Seam Binding, Spellbinders Doodleparts

I’ll be back tomorrow with something new!  Have a great start of the week!

Hi there sweet friends, bless you on this fine Sunday!!   My young man turned 21 today, so the girls and I am taking him out to dinner.  These are the best days, spent with family – I am so blessed!  After we finished our other to do’s today, my daughter and I scrounged through what I had for K-Cups for the Keurig she got me at Christmas and we sipped Chai Latte on this surprisingly chilly day in the south.  I hope all my friends weathered the storms of yesterday with no problem.  Anyways, on to my card – this is a new stamp I just got from Quietfire Design called I Love You Not Only For What You Are.  I think it would make a lovely anniversary card.  Even though I haven’t spent a lot of time scrapbooking lately, I can see this making its way into a memory album that I have no idea when I’ll make but it seems to be on my heart.

I used Spellbinders Elegant Posts as the focal point – I love the ornateness of this die template!!  You’re probably wondering why I’ve not used this yet.  I have just added it to my collection and get ready, because you will see it a lot this week.   I spent some time playing around with it and have a number of cards in progress.  You know, you’ve got to strike while it’s hot – well that’s me and designing — until I’m off on the next idea.  What a magical border with the Fleur de Lis Doily Accents – I promise you, I’m trying not to wear it out but it is classic, classic, classic.

SUPPLIES I USED
Stamps: Quietfire Design – I Love You Not Only For What You Are
Paper:  Strathmore Acrylic, Bazzill
Ink: Blue Dye Based Ink
Accessories: Spellbinders Elegant Posts, Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Doily Accents, Spellbinders Standard Circles LG, Spellbinders Standard Circles SM, seam binding, pearls

So many people ask how I mail my cards, so I couldn’t help but be a little bit devious and take a picture of the card in it’s envelope.  That’s really how I send them out!  Granted, this one doesn’t have a big bow, but if it did, it still goes in the envelope. This is a standard #10 envelope – roughly 4.25″ tall and 9.50″ wide . . . my card is 4″ tall and 9.25″ wide.

That’s all for me today.  It’s lovely that many of you have weighed in on this weeks poll already!!  I would never have guessed the outcome but I guess that’s what makes it all so fun.  I’m working diligently in the background to fill in some of the places where it says “Coming Soon”.  Little by little, I’ll get there.  Changes are always happening, so be sure to peek around.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart for spending a moment with me!!

I love the way you think out of the box to combine different dies, etc. I am currently job hunting, so I have to be very careful with my $, but there are some Spellbinders dies just calling out to me, ha, ha. Love those 40% off coupons! Where in the South do you live? I’m originally from Ohio, but I lived in Atlanta, GA for 13 years. I currently lilve in Arizona. Thank you for being so faithful to your blog, I look forward to seeing what you come up with every single day!
