Hi there friends, today is a new day!!  Wow, the migraine wasn’t quite done with me but I’m definitely feeling marvelous today.  I have another sneak peek for you using a new Our Daily Bread Designs set.  These sets become available on March 1st, but there’s so much coming for March that I need to start showing you now so that I can work my way through the month, lol!  I used two different sets . . . the first is a tulip corner set and the second set contains this powerful sentiment.   I’m using Spellbinders Curved Rectangles and picked the largest size.  Quite conveniently, stamping the Tulip Corner set twice yields a lovely frame.  I stamped them both with Stazon Ink and colored with Distress Reinkers.

The frame I created is bordered with the Fleur de Lis border from Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Accents using the fleur on three of the sides and the dots on one of the sides.   The center hole in the frame is cut from Spellbinders Ribbon Tags Trio Two.  Everything is smudged with blue dye based ink to give it a little bit of color. I guess you could say that I’ve been in the mood to color this week – this was the easiest and quickest of the items I colored this week.  I’ll have to apologize in advance that I don’t know the manufacturer of the blue paper I used.  I’ve had it forever and have kept it because it’s one of my favorite shades – a medium blue with a gray cast – I struggle to find that shade.

SUPPLIES I USED
Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs – Eternity, Tulip Corner
Paper
: 140lb Strathmore Watercolor, Blue Spotches – from my stash.
Ink
: Stazon Black, Distress Ink Reinkers, Assorted Dye Based Reinkers

Accessories
: Spellbinders Curved Rectangles, Spellbinders Ribbon Tags Trio Two, Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Accents,  ribbon, pearls

I hope you have a wonderful weekend.  Take care my friends!!

Hi Becca! Lovely card, and with those gorgeous tulips I”m already hooked on the new March set by ODBD! I wonder, how do you store your stamps from them? Are they in the original plastic that they come in, or do you have them in a way cool storage bin or something? I just this week took all my stamp sets from ODBD and put them ALL in one box…an old purple magnetic closure card making set I bought on one of the craft shows on t.v. about 5 years ago. Not sure if they’ll stay there!
Hope your migraine is GONE today, never to return!! Blessings!

Hi Becca, My husband has severe migraine headaches due to allergies to caffeine (chocolate has caffeine). He found one thing that helps him, it is called fever few. He stays away from caffeine, but ever once in a while something he eats will trigger a migraine. He keeps these on hand for those occassions. Just thought you might do your own research and who knows maybe this could be something that might help you. I wish you the best and thank you so much for sharing your beautiful God given talent of creativity. I really enjoy your wonderful cards.ReplyCancel

So sorry about the migraine, Becca! I know how you feel. I went to a migraine lecture in the UK and the neurologist recommended eating protein, carbohydrate and fruit at each meal – fruit first as it digests the fastest. Breakfast is really important for migraine sufferers, he advised. This is of course in addition to identifying migraine triggers and avoiding them. Splash face with cold water and take painkillers early as they may reduce the length and severity of the attack. I find wearing cold gel patches on my forehead, as soon as I feel one developing, of real benefit. Get well soon.
And the card is fabulous. What a beautiful sentiment!

Hi there blog friends.  I’m working on some things to post and keeping my fingers crossed that my tutorial comes together like I need it to.  In the meantime I found out about a great bargain that’s coming up so I thought I would pass it along to you. I don’t normally do this, but I thought it was a decent enough bargain. I don’t have any affiliation but I have used this is the past and it was a welcome tool in my collection. Here’s the link to all the details  – http://shop.tuesdaymorning.com/dsp_productDetail.asp?ssid=1&pid=10107.

Stay tuned!  I had a migraine yesterday, so I’m a little bit behind today, and hope have something later on.

I’m so lucky to have spent some time on this wonderful design team stamping for my sweet friend Michelle with Stampers Dream.  She invited me back as an alumni to hop with her awesome team of designers and I absolutely jumped at the chance!!  Michelle has the most enchanting web store called Stampers Dream and she carries everything that’s hot right now!!  When I was on the team it was relentless enabling I tell you . . . I spent hours pouring over the papers and all the different brands and genres of stamps she sells.  So, Michelle sent me an image to play with recently and I think she was reading my posts about how I’ve come down with a sweet case of Spring Fever and find myself outside when perhaps I should be getting some housework done (big grin)!!

I decided to make an ensemble for a friend.  Since it is gardening weather and everyone is talking about being outside and planting flowers, I made this little tote box  and put seed packets inside.  The box is from Cricut from their Spring Holiday Cards Cartridge and it is roughly seven inches tall.  The box does not come with a flap but I added one with a strip of paper.  On the inside I added an acetate window.  I punched an oblong hole into the top so that I could insert lace for a tied bow.  While I was coloring my images, I colored two so that I could add this one to the front of the gift box. Isn’t this the coolest stamp?  Michelle stocks this image called The Potting Shed (psst…there are only a couple left). It is colored with Distress Reinkers and Tombow Markers.
For my card I kept it simple and layered on Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Rectangles.  I cinched the side with one of my easy peg bow and added some sweet pearls.

SUPPLIES I USED
Stamps: Stampers DreamThe Potting Shed by Impression Obsession
Paper
: Bazzill, K & Co.
Ink
: Stazon Black

Accessories
: Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Rectangles, ribbon, pearls, Cricut-Spring Holiday Cards, acetate

I hope you’ll hop around and take in the incredible work of all these talented designers.  Oh there is quite an incentive I understand – major, major, major blog candy.  The candy is hidden along the way and none of us know which designers have it.  In order to win, you’ll need to leave a comment on each designers blog.  The winners will be announced on the Stampers Dream Website on Sunday, February 27th.

    Becca,
I love that you made this using a cricut. I am surprised however, that you do not use it more. This is a faboulous project. I really love this little box, and that fact that it holds seed packets just really caught my eye. I only found a couple of cuts on this cart that I would use and this just happened to be one of them. But it sure made this project. I love to garden. But I must admit I usually just go to the nursery and by small plants and come home and plant. I am really impatient. I want to reap the rewards now not two years from now. But I do like bulbs and will plant those. Back to your project – it is just adorable. I love this stamp that you used. Perfect for any gardener. Thanks so much for sharing this.
