Hi friends!  I hope you plan to have a glorious Monday!!  I don’t know where the weekend went – I was hoping to check quite a few things off my long list of family todo’s but it never appears to get shorter.   Thankfully I had a card in reserve that I’m sharing with you today.  It’s a long format card and I wish I’d do that more often.  I’m using a sentiment from the January releases for Our Daily Bread Designs called Faith.  Don’t be confused if you look at the set and wonder where I pulled the sentiment from – I split the stamping of the sentiment up into three parts.

The triangle shapes are new Spellbinders called Nested Pennants and they are layered on top of Nested Lacey Pennants.  After stamping each sentiment I used remnants of Zva Pearls to fill out the rest of the diamond.  It doesn’t get any simpler than this!!

    Love it! I like to make long cards too. I often make them to fit the #10 business-size envelopes. This sentiment says so much and really speaks to me. I need to use it on a card for my sister, who seems to be worrying more than usual these days. I try to set worry aside, because when we worry, it is really saying that we don’t trust God enough. Hello there friends.  I had a crafty interlude today and a card to share using one of the newest JustRite Cling Sets called You Inspire Me.   What a powerful thing to communicate in a card, and such an awesome compliment to pay to someone! This is such a lovely and elegant set and as with the other new releases, it is compatible with both  round and oval sentiments from the JustRite Original Collection.

I used Spellbinders Petite Ovals LG and SM  with the frilly frame stamp as a background.  I then framed the sentiment medallion with Spellbinders Lacey Ovals.  Using Spellbinders Labels Twenty One as the focal panel, I embellished the top and bottom using Spellbinders Floral Doily Motifs.  I used Grand Large Labels as the backdrop for the entire card.

    Gorgeous as always!! You are so fortunate to get all the new things from these wonderful companies like Spellbinders and JustRite. I love so many of the Spellbinders that are coming out at CHA this month, but they may never make it to my local stores… the craft stores are too slow to get new things and I just can’t afford to order them online and pay full retail. I have to buy my craft supplies with coupons or when the stores have sales. I’ve been wanting the lacy circles and squares for ages and still have not seen them in local stores even as long as they’ve been out. I wish I was in charge of ordering for my local Hobby Lobby! Hi there sweeties!! First of all, thanks to those who have signed up for an opportunity to win the new Core’dinations that matches Ranger Distress Inks and Adirondack Inks. Now moving on, another piece of the ensemble I created using Spellbinders Parisian Accents and Motifs (we’re almost done).  This Journal was the inspiration and starting point for the entire ensemble. I’ve long wanted my own specially made Gratitude Journal versus just a lined notebook. In this one I can sketch, doodle and glue in items I like. The stamps I’ve used are a set from Quietfire Design called Journal of Gratitude Bookstamps that are artistically beautiful as well as delightfully elegant. Once the innards were stamped, I closed the cover and concentrated on the outside.
I think I picked this journal up at Books a Million for less than $5.00.  I love it that it’s a bound book and it has an elastic band that keeps the book closed.  Blank pages that are heavier than text weight paper made it fly into my shopping cart!

    What a lovely idea of having a place for noting things to be grateful for, we often feel low and this is a great way of staying positive and cheering ourselves up.

    Your gratitude journal is beautiful. Who wouldn’t feel grateful having something so lovely to write in. You remind us that if we have an attitude of gratefulness it is difficult to be negative about life. We have so many blessings each day if we will only take time to think about them. Writing them down would certainly be helpful to get you to that grateful attitude!

    I love the dies you have used on this project and learning how I can use my dies in different ways.

    Its a great make and idea and something that I myself have, although the outside of it was far to nice to change when I bought it. I put my favourite things in mine like pics of my friends and family etc. Love the stamp – such beautiful calligraphy.
