I hope you don’t mind if I share another favorite . . .  This is one of the new tags dies – Spellbinders Fancy Tags Three.  I loved the lacy ends of the die so I used three to make a lacy circle.   Put together, they almost remind me of a doily.  I can tell you know that I’ll be reaching for this one possibly more than I should.
The scallops and half circle were made using Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Circles and Spellbinders Grand Circles.  I had the perfect sentiment in my retired pile to fit in that circular area, so I brought it out.  (It was almost too large for me to use).  Paired with cream, this soft powdery teal is another of my comfort colors.

SUPPLIES I USED

Stamps: Stampourri (Retired)
Paper: Bazzill, 365 Degrees – Pink Paislee
Ink: Ancient Page Dye Based Ink
Accessories:
Spellbinders Fancy Tags Three, Spellbinders Grand Scalloped Circles, Spellbinders Grand Circles, Making Memories Button, Ribbon, Pearls

Today is a two post day, so this evening some time I have a new reveal to share.

    Hi Becca,
Your card is so beautiful and the new release motif is stunning. I can’t wait to get me hands on this one! I especially love the way you use little bits of cutouts to create a new look. The background layer of scalloped circle is so suble that it just adds a hint of texture and the soft line but does not take away from the focal point of the card. Truly a great idea! As well, you always have such perfect finishing details.

Hi there!  I’m back with a card featuring one of the new Spellbinders die templates that I’ve fallen in love with.  Oops, I think I say that about every one but this is an amazing release and I guess it’s okay to be in love with all the new ones, right?  I picked a stunning sentiment from Quietfire Design called Flourish and Grow, that I knew would work well in the center.  I used die templates from Spellbinders Floral Doily Motifs and Floral Doily Accents set.  Ahem, I think this one will be a staple in the collection!

I want to keep this short and sweet so I’m going to skip the instructions but as always a product list will follow.  By the way this is a 6″ x6″ card and rare in the fact that I matted with black paper.  The more I do that the more I love that look.

SUPPLIES I USED

Stamps: Quietfire Design – Flourish and Grow
Paper: Bazzill, The Paper Company
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Vintage Photo Distress Ink
Accessories:
Spellbinders Floral Doily Motifs, Spellbinders Floral Doily Accents, Spellbinders Classic Circles LG, Spellbinders Grand Circles, Ribbon, Pearls

Thanks for stopping in sweet friends.  Be blessed!

Of course, this is a stunning card! I’ve clicked on the picture several times to make it larger to see how you made the larger circle….hmmm….did you use a Grand circle on the designer paper, but how did you do the edge of the paper?? I’ll wait for your description later.

    Beautiful, Becca!

After this time, I promised I’ll retire the Double Play winnings – do any of you even remember it?  Yikes, I think the last name I picked might not have had the eight words, I haven’t heard back from her with the words.   I feel awful to promote blog candy and not give it way, so please peek in to see if you won.

Using Random.org I rolled and picked number 80 (yep, I’m too lazy to do the graphic today), and that matches up with Janet Castle.  Janet, reach out to me through my contact page with your address and the eight words.  After 24 hours I’ll retire the candy and save it for another time.

Back later on tonite with a new card!

I generally follow your double play throughout, but this one slipped up on me and then there was some confusion about your posted words not working, etc. It is a fair game, but this time too many difficulties. I would love to win, but I don’t have all the words. Keep trying, you have such a loyal following that someone will get the credit where it is do!ReplyCancel

Reading the comments is almost as much fun as checking out your newest creation! Congrats to Janet, I’m glad that you got a winner this time. I didn’t manage to get all the words this go round, so I guess it’s just as well you didn’t pick me! Have been loving your latest creations. My Spellbinders list just keeps getting longer. I have a feeling that CHA is going to be expensive for me this year! Good thing I’ve been saving my pennies.

I like your double play challenge, and i am up in the middle of the night at some point also, so I always get all the words, but for some reason this go round I missed the second word, and the last 2 were the same word. Something wasn’t right.

this is what I got…none of it made sense to me:
Light,_____, unknown, better, known, the, way, way

so please do not do away with them (double play) just figure out a way to do it. If I recall, the words used to go in order and they made sense.

    Thanks, SusanReplyCancel

    Hi Becca

so many people enjoy your double play. I come to your blog EVERY time you post – maybe thats why I miss the words if you don’t re-blog. I think I probably miss them because of the time difference – although i know there are a few time zones in the states – i sooo miss them.

But it seems there is plenty of support and plenty of people that join in – maybe people who have all the words should email you and you chose that way – guaranteed to find someone.

If you never offered another stitch of candy – it wouldn’t stop me from coming here because you give away each and every time you post a sensational card that you’ve produced.
