Dear friends, I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to tell you Merry Christmas! I hope you find yourself smothered with hope and love as we come together to celebrate the birth of our Savior. Many of you said this one would be tough for me, but really it’s not about me. I’m just thankful for the caring words and concern you’ve sent my way. Believe me, it has kept me afloat in a sea of grief. My family is home with me today and we have plans to take flowers for John. I have a card to share today – this is the last Christmas card I’m doing this year!!! All the particulars are at the end of my post.
By the way, I’ve changed my theme over. It is not finished yet but any further work needs to be done in front of the scenes where we can see it. Do you like it? Guess what, this is the first post on the new theme!! There are still adjustments to make, things to reload and items to adjust – don’t worry, I’ll get there. No need to report on the flukes yet – we’re working the kinks out and in fact you may see the old theme pop back up if we need to do lots of work. I’m not normally one to move ahead, I’m usually content to keep with the old, but my previous theme was three years old and was starting to be used a lot out on the internet. Now I have my very own look and it feels like me. I picked this theme in January and it has been in the works most of this year as I’ve given thought to where I’d like to go with Amazing Paper Grace. It does use Java but that’s basically because I wanted to publish galleries – you’ll need to have Java enabled. If you’re one like me that doesn’t automatically do that, check out the No Script plugin for Firefox and allow the sites you know to be safe, like mine.
HOW IT’S MADE:
|
1. Make Card Base – mine is 6″ x 6″
2. Cut design paper slightly smaller than card, adhere.
3. Layer on a design paper panel and a mat using foam tape.
4. Create a frame using the largest Spellbinders Lacey Circles and Classic Circles SM, adhere.
5. Cut two smaller Lacey Circles adhere with foam tape.
6. Smudge all die cuts with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.
7. Stamp and emboss motif, cut out with Classic Circles LG, affix to card with foam tape.
8. Embellish with two pearls and tie ribbon.
9. Optional, decorate inside. |
Well, take some time and click around. Once I have things settled I’ll do a full post on the changes.
Congrats, Ladies!!! Enjoy your surprises from Becca! Gorgeous new look and makes me want an update for mine even more! One of these days. . . !!! ;-)

Love the look of the new theme and will be looking for more changes. I have looked at “Coming Soon” sections with a Hmmm??? LOL I even looked thru your “Organize” tutorials again and need to look at using some of your tips. I was surprised to see you used blue when you seem to love pink so much. I like it though, it’s soothing.

Hey Becca, I like the new look. Nice quiet colors. Pretty. I got an error message, but I went back and saw that it had gone in. So it was ok.
Happy New Year to you and the family
Hugs
Becca, I was thrilled and delighted to be one of your first posts purely by accident and the time difference I’m sure. I always check my e-mail first thing in the morning and Christmas day is no different this year because it has not been a happy year or many reasons. My only e-mail was from Amazon so because I always feel uplifted by your cards I checked your site. When I saw the changes I just had to say how beautiful it was.
I have tried to contact you via the contact option but no matter how many times I spell the words correctly it still says error. My address is

As you can see I live in England so will not expect a gift, however I would be thrilled to get one of your lovely cards.
Best wishes for the year ahead,XO
Cynthia

I had lots of errors also last time I tried to post. I also tried to use the Contact link and like Cynthia said above, no matter how many times I tried to enter the letters/numbers, it always came back as invalid.
I don’t know if any of my attempts came through, but I love your new blog look! It is very classy–love the birds! I’m not trying to be a brat, but double check your bio block. Should it be ‘at’?
“Make yourself and home…”
I know you are a perfectionist so I am just giving you feedback…
I especialy love your Hesburgh quote today… :)
Love the new look. It is so clean and bright and elegant.
Hi Becca!
I love your new site! It suits you. I’m glad that you were surrounded with family this Christmas. I know it had to be hard on you with it being the first without your husband John. But I know you must be thankful that Christ was born then died on the cross so that we may be saved. It brings me comfort to realize that I will see my loved ones again one day. I wish you a wonderful New Year filled with healing.
I am testing this as the author’s request to see if I can help fix the commenting issue. ~ Tim
Becca…hope you had a happy Christmas! and for the blog…I love it…congrats to the winners!
Just love everything that you do!!!
I absolutely love your new look. Congratulations! Best wishes for a great New Year.
I think the new look of your blog is very pretty, BUT I will say that like so many things nowadays that are set up to be pretty it’s never as easy for us visually impaired people to read. Your font doesn’t seem as bold as it used to be and that makes it harder for me to read your posts. But, I will still enjoy looking at all of your beautiful creations.
congratulations to all of the lucky ladies. Enjoy the goodies….
Wonderful, new look! I really enjoy your work, talent and tutorials. Thank you for sharing yourself with us.
God bless you Becca! May HE provide you with all the comfort and peace that you need today and in the coming year.
YOU bless me and inspire me.
Beutiful new theme for your blog. Love the new card too. I pray that God Blesses you and Keeps you near to him in the New Year.
