Well I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas!!  You bless me!  Thanks for weighing in on my new theme.  I know that many of you got an error when you tried to leave a comment but those comments were coming through.   We’re working on it so if you see that error, keep trying and eventually it will go through.  Now on to the winners  . . .

The first three people to respond were Steph M, Cynthia Williamson and Madelyn.  I also said that I would pick one name randomly to get some goodies – and I picked number 41 which matches up to Olga Jewell.  If you could kindly reach out to me within the next 48 hours,  through the contact tab at the top of the blog and let me know your addresses.

Thank you all for helping me test out the new theme.  A little bit more tweaking to go to clear up the errors then I’m ready to go.  Stay tuned for the new features I wanted to roll out.  They are coming soon.

Becca, I was thrilled and delighted to be one of your first posts purely by accident and the time difference I’m sure. I always check my e-mail first thing in the morning and Christmas day is no different this year because it has not been a happy year or many reasons. My only e-mail was from Amazon so because I always feel uplifted by your cards I checked your site. When I saw the changes I just had to say how beautiful it was.
I have tried to contact you via the contact option but no matter how many times I spell the words correctly it still says error. My address is
    11 Goulds Villas
    Banbury, Oxon
    U.K , OX16 0QQ
As you can see I live in England so will not expect a gift, however I would be thrilled to get one of your lovely cards.
Best wishes for the year ahead,XO

I love your new site! It suits you. I’m glad that you were surrounded with family this Christmas. I know it had to be hard on you with it being the first without your husband John. But I know you must be thankful that Christ was born then died on the cross so that we may be saved. It brings me comfort to realize that I will see my loved ones again one day. I wish you a wonderful New Year filled with healing.ReplyCancel

I think the new look of your blog is very pretty, BUT I will say that like so many things nowadays that are set up to be pretty it’s never as easy for us visually impaired people to read. Dear friends, I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to tell you Merry Christmas!  I hope you find yourself smothered with hope and love as we come together to celebrate the birth of our Savior.  Many of you said this one would be tough for me, but really it’s not about me.  I’m just thankful for the caring words and concern you’ve sent my way.  Believe me, it has kept me afloat in a sea of grief.  My family is home with me today and we have plans to take flowers for John.  I have a card to share today – this is the last Christmas card I’m doing this year!!! All the particulars are at the end of my post.

By the way, I’ve changed my theme over.  It is not finished yet but any further work needs to be done in front of the scenes where we can see it.  Do you like it?  Guess what, this is the first post on the new theme!! There are still adjustments to make, things to reload and items to adjust – don’t worry, I’ll get there.  No need to report on the flukes yet – we’re working the kinks out and in fact you may see the old theme pop back up if we need to do lots of work.  I’m not normally one to move ahead, I’m usually content to keep with the old, but my previous theme was three years old and was starting to be used a lot out on the internet.  Now I have my very own look and it feels like me.  I picked this theme in January and it has been in the works most of this year as I’ve given thought to where I’d like to go with Amazing Paper Grace.  It does use Java but that’s basically because I wanted to publish galleries – you’ll need to have Java enabled.  If you’re one like me that doesn’t automatically do that, check out the No Script plugin for Firefox and allow the sites you know to be safe, like mine.

HOW IT’S MADE:
1. Make Card Base – mine is 6″ x 6″
2. Cut design paper slightly smaller than card, adhere.
3. Layer on a design paper panel and a mat using foam tape.
4. Create a frame using the largest Spellbinders Lacey Circles and Classic Circles SM, adhere.
5. Cut two smaller Lacey Circles adhere with foam tape.
6. Smudge all die cuts with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.
7. Stamp and emboss motif, cut out with Classic Circles LG, affix to card with foam tape.
8. Embellish with two pearls and tie ribbon.
9. Optional, decorate inside.
SUPPLIES I USED:

Stamps: Inkadinkado
Paper
: Paper Studio, Bazzill
Ink
: Versafine Onyx Black and Ivory Embossing Powder, Vintage Photo Distress Ink
Accessories
: Spellbinders™ Standard Circles SM, Spellbinders™ Standard Circles LG, Spellbinders™ Lacey Circles, EK Success Punch, Ivory Embossing Powder, Ribbon.

Well, take some time and click around.   Once I have things settled I’ll do a full post on the changes.

Merry Christmas to you Becca and your entire family. May the new year bless you with much joy, love and many, many, many wonderful blessings from our dear Heavenly Father and Savior above.

I can relate to the pain your feeling of losing John your beloved precious husband. My husband passed away five years ago on December 15th and just as John was your soul mate, my husband was mine. I always said he was my gift and miracle from God and my heart still aches over losing him, like you I try to fill my time by doing kind things for others.

For those who still have loved ones, treasure each and every precious moment you have with them. May everyone have a Christmas day filled with the most beautiful and happiest of memories. Happy New Year to each of you, may this year bring you joy, love and bountiful amounts of happiness.ReplyCancel

ODBD - Christmas Blessings Card

Hey there!!  Christmas shopping is done right? Not!!  Just checking, lol!!.  I have a card to share today before I need to get some pressing Christmas business done.  In the meantime, squeeeeezing in another Christmas card using the new Christmas sets from Our Daily Bread Designs.  This one is called Christmas Blessings.   I made a peek-a-boo window for the sentiment and used Spellbinders Labels Seventeen as my focal panel.  After I had the card pieces ready to go, I decided I wanted to add a third color – black.  Instead of having to rework the entire card, I added a panel in black to the back of the card to give it a little bit of accent color.  I’ve never done that before and I like it!!

ODBD - Christmas Blessings - Window

I added a row of scallops in my accent color using Spellbinders Classic Scallop Borderabilities Petite and more accent on the inside of my window using Spellbinders Lotus Borderabilities Petite.    I had to go with the green button just to keep it in the Christmas mold.  By the way, I found the funnest thread at Michaels.  It’s luscious embroidery thread that has wire in it.  Go figure!!  I threaded it through my button and then was able to do those crazy squiggles.  I’m saving up for the other colors!!

CARD RECIPE
Stamps:  Our Daily Bread Designs – Christmas Blessings
Paper : The Paper Studio – Mirabella, Bazzill
Ink : Versafine Onyx Black
Accessories : Spellbinders Classic Scallop Borderabilities Petite, Spellbinders Labels Seventeen, Spellbinders Lotus Borderabilities Petite, Ribbon, gems, button, wired embroidery floss

Big hugs friends, I’ll check in with you later!
