. . . that JustRite Stampers has new custom dies from the Spellbinders Custom Product Program?  Yep, I was soooooo tickled to receive the new custom made die templates made by Spellbinders just for JustRiteStampers.  The die set that I used for this creation is called Nested Frame Dies and it is designed to match with JustRite Stampers Simple Blessings Cling Stamp Set – how else could I get those perfect layers?  By the way, if you have purchased any of the JustRite nested sentiments (because no set of Spellbinders dies matched perfectly) this set of dies was designed specifically to cut the layered shapes of each of the Nested Sentiments stamps.   Woohoo – really!!!

I cut my main card base, largest layer and gold accents.  Next I layered on a panel cut from Spellbinders Labels Eight.  I then die cut the next layer from Nested Frame Dies #4 (matted with gold), stamped and colored my image then cut it from Nested Frame Dies #3 (matted with gold), stamped another image and cut it using Nested Frame Dies #2.  Lastly I stamped my sentiment and cut it using the die with the eyelet motifs on the end.  Yes, it is a seven layer card, but it’s easiest to do it that way – you simply cut and stack – how easy is that?

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  JustRite Stampers Simple Blessings Cling Set
Paper: DIe Cuts With a View, The Paper Company, Strathmore Gold Paper
Ink:  Versamark and Gold Embossing Powder, Versafine Onyx Black
Accessories:  JustRite Custom Dies by Spellbinders – Nested frame Dies, Spellbinders Labels Eight, Ribbon, Pearls, Sizzix Embossing Folder

By the way, there are still big, big, sales going on over at JustRite Stampers.  All the Nested Sentiments – you know, the ones that will fit those new dies – well, they’re on sale for 20% off.  The November sales of 25% off on JustRite Original Christmas stamps has been extended until December 30th.  There’s still some great bargains in the $10.00 deals category.   Last but certainly not least, the mini binder boxes to store your cling stamps are 50% off.  Okay enabling done, I knew you would want to know, though.

Thanks for stopping by dear friends!!

Hi blog friends!!  I read you loud and clear :-)  With the ever so slight twisting of my arm, I acquiesced and savored some rest while I was not feeling well.  Although the jury is still out, I rose to make a card but didn’t finish it up until today.  Thanks so much for your feedback.  While I was resting I thought of how fortunate I am. So much of my strength and passion are buoyed by the wonderful relationship I have with readers here.  So on to my card. . . isn’t it cheerfully Christmas-sy?  I’m using one of the sentiment from one of the December released sets at Our Daily Bread Designs called Christmas Blessings

I shaped the bottom of my main panel using Spellbinders Grand Labels One.  Then I cut a frame using Spellbinders Lacey Squares and Spellbinders Classic Squares SM.  Lastly for my sentiment I used Spellbinders Rectangles SM.  I haven’t used my Collar Bow (see another sample HERE) in quite some time, so I balanced out the rest of the frame with one and added leaves.  Mmmm, mmmm, mmmm, those red pearls are luscious.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Our Daily Bread Designs – Christmas Blessings
Paper:  MAMBI – Noel, Xpedx White Cardstock, The Paper Company
Ink: Colorbox Pigment Ink – Cranberry
Accessories: pearls, Prima Leaves, Spellbinders™ Lacey Squares, Spellbinders™ Grand Labels One, Spellbinders™ Classic Squares SM, Spellbinders™Classic Rectangles SM

Adding another card to my smallish Christmas card stash makes me smile.  Have you sent yours yet?

Another stunning card and I still haven’t started my Christmas cards.
Got a little hiccup in my plans as I had to call 911 for my hubby yesterday and am driving him to his doctors appointment today in about an hour.
Just a little note…yesterday my cell phone was down to 1 bar @ 5:30 AM and rushing around and making calls all day from the emergency room, my cell phone lasted until 2:30 PM when our youngest son called from work.
    GIVE GOD THE PRAISE.

Dear Becca, sorry to hear your are not feeling well, however I have to tell you I always look forward to your e-mails and the wonderful ideas you come up with. Everyone of your cards, without exception, are stunning! One question, when layering so many different papers on a card, what do you suggest using so as not to increase the postage. Sometimes my cards go over the postal limits and can become quite expensive when sending out multiple cards, as for Christmas.
Thanks You in advance and MAY THE GOD YOU LOVE HOLD YOU GENTLY IN HIS HANDS. Love and Hugs HMReplyCancel

Well, I knew it was only a matter of time . . . cold weather, long hours, stress.  I’m rarely sick with the variety of colds, flus and stuff that other people get but I can just feel it coming.  My sweet son was only barely in my presence – staying his distance because he didn’t want me to catch anything but I think I’m too late.  Ugh, my throat has felt funny for days.   I’m not complaining though, just wanted to let you know why you haven’t seen me for a couple of days.  Saturday would have been my 29th Anniversary and I fared pretty well even with the throat thing.  I’m hopeful that I’ll have a little post later on in the day.

In the meantime, for tomorrow, Happy Monday dear friends.  I started to write how many more days until Christmas, but I didn’t want to startle you, lol!!!

Biggest Hugs,
Becca

    Becca
with all that you’ve been dealing with it’s no wonder your coming down with something.
Your resistance is probably low and your tired and drained emotionally.
This is always the time when we get sick.

So do what your body wants.. rest and more rest and eat good food to sustain your strength.. Relax and just give way to sleep and rest.

Take care of yourself and Happy Anniversary anyway. A lot of good years together. Take care of yourself..and yes Christmas is getting closer and closer..We all have much to be grateful for..

Please take very good care of yourself hun, as we don´t want you get really sick now just before christmas right? I know the feeling, as I´ve been the same myself, and I´m even vacinatyed, cause I just can´t catch anything now, as I have a major backsurgery just after New Year, and they would just cancle it again, if I catch anything, so you just do as I´m told, to stay inside and make a hot groggy and sstay warm, then it´ll hopefully go away again without further.
Christmas is fast aproching, but we can haave a great time anyway, even we haven´t got all done, we use to, so no reason to stress as that´s not what the holiday is about right?
have a great time hun and take care.ReplyCancel

Speaking about the closeness of Christmas, I’m feeling stessed because I still have all the sentiments to put inside each of the Christmas cards that I made. Dear Becca, we have a great product here in Canada called cold FX which my children and I take every day, it seems to prevent colds. Couldn’t find it in the States when I was there with my son in November, so when one of the boys on the hockey team started to feel under the weather, we had him take lots of Vitamin C instead at the first sign of a sore throat. Our friend who is a naturopath says to take one 500 mg Vit C every hour for 5 to 6 hours until the sore throat disappears — and it always seems to work! May be too late for you if the cold has taken hold, but worth a try. Hope you are feeling better soon and I’m so sorry you couldn’t share your anniversary with your dear husband beside you in person, instead of in spirit. Take care.ReplyCancel

Maybe you need to take it easy and rest up for a few days – everyone would understand – we’d rather hear from you to tell us you’re feeling ok… we all have those days so you don’t need to feel bad.

You’ve gone through a lot recently so you’re body and resistance is bound to be really low. Well done for getting through Saturday. It must have been a very poignant day filled with memories.

Becca, next time you feel that coming on, take an Alka-Seltzer Plus (I love cherry or orange flavor best), and it won’t attack you so hard. Seems if I feel the symptoms, I take that and the next day it is gone. But I developed something similar to what you are talking about too and have been sick with it for a few weeks. When it hit, the throat thing was not a sore throat, but it was different, and I was not thinking of taking anything – thought it was something else. Well, I think it ended up being allergies, since I had been gone for 2 weeks before on a cruise, and came back to alot of dust in the house, from where a friend watched my kitties, and all the dust from litter got all over everything, especially in that room. But after being away from kitties for 2 weeks, guess I could have developed a sensitivity to them too. Next time I might have to hire someone to come in and clean before I get home – especially if I’m gone for more than a week. Glad you are doing some better. Praying for you.ReplyCancel

Listen to your body and take care of you. I would like to say Happy Anniversary. A friend of mine who’s husband died told me on the first anniversary after he passed that she felt she was still married to him so it was a day to celebrate. She was a Christian and honored her vows. She since has remarried to a wonderful widower from our church and I am so happy for them. I don’t know how you feel. Hey Becca, my sweetie rarely gets what’s going around either. But he too is being felled by some sort of bug, I’ll hazard a guess, and st that tomorrow will be the day he stays home from work. When he does get sick, it’s usually very sick, and a real bear! I hope you don’t get real sick, and you recuperate quickly
Becca, each time a special day comes along, remember the times you and he celebrated them together. It might help you get through the day. Each time a ‘first’ comes, it will be hard. But the next time, it’s not quite as hard. You’re in my prayers.

    Hi Becca,

Oh the joys of the season! We have had several runs of colds, stomach flues and such. My 18 year old daughter is home sick today with the same thing as you Becca.

Wow, to hear that you would have celebrated your 29th Wedding Anniversary is quite a landmark. I hope you celebrated that day as your spirits and souls will forever be connected, I truly believe that.

I’m just watching to see how much snow we will be receiving, they have displayed warnings and watches since last night and they said it will continue into Tuesday! We received around 20 cm of snow in the last couple of days and more on the way.

Take care of yourself, glad to just hear from you. Get lots of rest and take some time to get strong again.

    Blessing to you as always,

    CathieReplyCancel

You have gone through so much it is not surprising you got a bug. Listen to your body, rest when it starts to protest, not when you have time!

Hope you had a day of good memories Saturday. You know where John is and will see him again. What a wonderful gift God has given.

Thank you for not mentioning how many days until Christmas!ReplyCancel

A bit late – but here’s wishing you a speedy recovery. A cold this time of year can be difficult to get rid off – hot tea and honey – it helps my throat (did I spell that OK – if not sorry – I am Danish remember) anytime. Happy 29th to you and your sweetie in Heaven – many lovely years together – but not as many as you had deserved.ReplyCancel

Stress always makes us wide open to disease and illness as it lowers our immune system.

Please relax, and let your kids care for you, do not worry about the blog or anything. Your health is more important.

I am sick right now myself, with what sounds like the same thing…stuffy, body aches etc.

In fact I am heading back to the couch…hope you are also!
    Gentle hugs,
