I have something very fun to share today.  Flower Soft is sponsoring the Friday Challenge #40 for JustRite Stampers over at the JustRite Inspiration Blog so be sure to pop over for the details. (Psst….if you don’t know what Flower Soft is, click the link and pop over for a look!)   I guess you could call me a wallflower, because for the past years I’ve been watching everyone have fun with Flower Soft but I’ve never tried it myself.  Now that I have my hot little hands on some, I’m amazed at what texture it adds to a project.  I kept thinking that I needed to stamp some flowers or trees to use it but honestly, it’s an embellishment and you can put it anywhere!
For my card today I’m using the JustRite Original Autumn Blessings set and this particular stamp I had not inked up.  With fall in the air, I thought the basket of apples would be perfect.  My images are stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copic Markers.  I cut/embossed a panel with Spellbinders Labels Sixteen and cut a border using Spellbinders Classic Ovals LG and Classic Ovals SM.   On the back of a strip punched with a Martha Stewart Punch, I added clear adhesive from a sticky tape then covered the area with three fall colors of Flower Soft.  It added texture in colors that compliment my stamped image :-)

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  JustRite Stampers – Autumn Blessings
Paper:  K & Company, Bazzill
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories:  Flower Soft – Ultra Fine Sage, Ultra Fine Strawberry, Ultra Fine Toffee, Spellbinders Labels Sixteen, Spellbinders Classic Ovals LG, Spellbinders Classic Ovals SM, Zva Creative Pearls, May Arts Satin Ribbon, Martha Stewart Infinite Loops Border Punch, Copic Markers – YG03, YG67, R05, R29, Y38, YR31, W1, 0, E35, E30

Thanks so much for keeping us in your prayers.

    Becca:

You and your husband have been in my prayers and lingering in my heart. I heard a sermon last night at our revival and I just wanted to share some high points of encouragement.
2nd Chronicles 20 – Victory in the Valley. We know that Satan thinks he has won this fight, but the word tells us that the battle is not ours – It’s the Lords. All God wants us to do (to have victory in the valley) is (1) show up at the fight (even though we don’t have to lift a finger. Showing up speaks of our faith. (2) Stand Still (shows our fortitude-wait on the Lord) (3) See the salvation of the Lord and (4) shout in advance, as you advance and then shout again. The victory is ours! We know that God has all power to heal. Let’s just keep believing.ReplyCancel

Welcome to JustRite Stampers’ newest Wednesday feature, 12 Weeks of Christmas Blog Hops #6!   Every Wednesday up until Thanksgiving some of your favorite designers will be joining some of the JustRite Design Team for a series of Christmas Blog Hops, showcasing JustRite Stampers entire Christmas Collection of stamps!  This week we welcome additions from the Copic Design Team and Certification instructors!  So mark your calendars for Wednesdays at 9am CST for great Christmas gift, card & project ideas, starting at the JustRite Inspiration Blog!

As you know, I often raid the $1 bin at Michaels and on the JustRite 12 Weeks of Christmas Week 1, I showed you how to pull together a quick and inexpensive gift to give to that person who’ll need some Christmas Cards on the run.  Well, this is part two, it’s for the person who will need Christmas enclosure cards and gift tag cards on the run.  The purchased part makes them quick and easy, the JustRite part makes them personal and homemade.

These little $1 bird cages were intended for Halloween.  Originally orange, I gave mine a quick spray paint job.  From this one you can see what I started out with.  I personalized it with ribbon and rose trim before I started on my cards.  The cage makes an excellent gift container, and when they are done with it, it can easily hold candy or perhaps hang on the tree. For the cards I used JustRite Stampers Holiday Cheer and for two of the cards I used From Our House 2" Square Borders.

I made small cards that were 2 5/8" x 2 5/8".  This is quick work because there’s only so much space to work with and so you have to keep them simple.  I filled this bird cage with 12 small enclosure cards and 12 hand made envelopes.

 Project Recipe:
Stamps:  JustRite Stampers – Holiday Cheer, From Our House
Paper:  Bazzill
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories:  Spellbinders Standard Circles LG, Spellbinders Standard Circles SM, Spellbinders Classic Squares SM, Spellbinders Classic Squares LG, Spellbinders Tags Five, May Arts Ribbon, Tulle, 3D Christmas Stickers ($1 Bin Michaels), Bird Cage ($1 Bin Michaels), Rose Trim – Hobby Lobby, Pearls, Bling, Copic Markers

Please visit these designers’ blogs to see what fabulous Christmas projects they have for you on the hop today!

Hi there friends, I wanted to share a card I made earlier this month.  This is a pretty fall paper from NRN that I got out of my stash and I’ve had it cut and ready for something for several weeks.  I just couldn’t seem to pair it up with anything that didn’t cover the pretty leaves, print and pears.  This will seem very simple to you — it is — but that’s what I had to do to let that beautiful paper shine through.  I’m using a beautiful new verse from Our Daily Bread Designs from the Full of Grace Collection called Pray.

The metal frame is by Making Memories and was the perfect size for the sentiment.  I finished up with a short length of pleated ribbon and some brown rayon ribbon.   This sentiment could not have come at a more appropriate time, more than anything I find it an absolute comfort.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Our Daily Bread Designs – Full of Grace Collection:  Pray
Paper:  NRN, Bazzill
Ink:  Versafine Vintage Sepia
Accessories:  May Arts Pleated Ribbon, Making Memories Metal Frame, Martha Stewart Rayon Ribbon, The Paper Studio Brad

Thanks for peeking in on me :-)

    Remember:
(Romans 8:26) One of the most encouraging and comforting aspects of the Holy Spirit is His ministry of intercession on behalf of those He inhabits. Because we often don’t know what or how to pray when we approach God, the Spirit intercedes and prays for us. He interprets our “groanings,” so that when we are oppressed and overwhelmed by trials and the cares of life, He comes alongside to lend assistance as He sustains us before the throne of grace.ReplyCancel

Beautiful card and a wonderful promise! That even though we can’t find the words that God hears us in our desparation. Praying for you and your husband! May you find comfort and strength in the loving arms of Jesus.ReplyCancel
