Hi all, I have several things to share with you. First of all thanks so much for the sweet Birthday Wishes. I’m only home long enough to get a post up so I won’t be able to weigh in to thank everyone individually especially all the wonderful folks on Facebook, but I hope you know that today, your well wishes mean more than you can possibly know. Over the last couple of weeks my husband has not been well and life has been a little unpredictable. Many of you who have gone back to the beginning of my blog know that what led me to blog was the fact that I was a caregiver, tethered to home. It was one of the best decisions of my life – it pulled me out of a total despair and gave me a way to celebrate and grow in my faith. What a blessing!! It has kept me from being isolated, I’ve made so many friends and I’ve made my hands busy in the most difficult of times.
All of that to say, we are going through a tough time and I may be quiet – that’s how I deal with stress. In the middle of the turmoil you will for sure see creations from me and think, hunh? It may be odd, but, that’s how I deal with stress – the busier I can stay, the better. I plan to keep on keeping on, but in the interim, I hope that those of you who are waiting for tutorials on the Snowflake and the Christmas planner will understand that I’ve got a lot going on. I’ll get there, I promise. In the meantime, if you can spare a prayer for my husband John, we are so in need.
I just so happens, I have something to show that I created early this morning in between appointments. It’s a favor that’s going to a sweet friend of mine – I’ll be putting a gift card inside.
In my surfing I saw a die template that makes a similar dress, but it wasn’t in my craft budget. Working with what I have on hand, I pulled out my Spellbinders Grand Ovals die to make the dress and used a Spellbinders Classic Ovals LG for the bodice of the dress. I took a couple of nips out of the bodice for the neck and arms using an EK Success 1 1/2" round punch. To finish I hung a small tag on my closure ribbon using Spellbinders Tags Five. All in all, about an hours worth of work to figure it all out from beginning to end.
Here’s the back side – that sweet little flower hides a velcro closure.
This is the inside. See how simple that is? I put a notch on the top side of one strip and the bottom side of the other strip so that when they meet, they interlock and close off the sides of the container.
Project Recipe:
Stamps: Hero Arts
Paper: Lasting Impressions
Ink: Colorbox Chalk Ink – Rouge
Accessories: Spellbinders Grand Ovals, Spellbinders Classic Ovals LG, Spellbinders Tags Five |

Beautiful – love the sentiment, too. Such a great song! Hope all goes well for your husband & that the wait won’t be so long.
Gorgeous, just gorgeous.
Becca
From experience, I know how horrible waiting can be. It is the worse. Horrible things go through your mind, and you cannot stop them. At least knowing, you have a plan of action. I continue to pray for the two of you. I hope you feel the good thoughts.
Stunning card. Love the colors as well.
My thoughts and prayers are with you both.
so beautiful and so clever.
beautiful card Becca – wishing all that goes well at the docs tomorrow and the news is better than expected.
Paula, Derbyshire, UK.

Love the card. Love the verse! Hold onto it as you wait, Becca.
Thoughts and prayers with you and your dh.

Bless you for sharing your remarkable gift with us.
God is faithful and so often He walks with us through our trials and seldom around or over them. Waiting is difficult – but remember you are never alone. God is closer than the breath you breathe.
Such a beautiful song, He is so Faithful with his Grace and Love even though we do nothing to deserve it. Your gift of design for His Glory is superb! Always enjoy your thoughts, You are both still in our prayers, He will Bless you with only what you need, just be open to see it as such. Blessings my dear card friend.
Another beautiful card Becca.
Great Is Thy Faithfulness ! A beautiful song and so nice to see it used as a sentiment on a card. Keeps us humble. I love the colors in this card and how you framed the stamp. Keep the faith, Becca. Remember to breath. We are all with you and your husband and family.
Can I come and play in your scrap bin? Beautiful card. Thoughts and prayers for you and family. Great is God’s Faithfulness.
Just remember that when you and your husband go to the doctor tomorrow, that there are those of us who in thought will be going with you and holding your hands.
My prayers are with you both.
Absolutely gorgeous card!
Becca: I’ve visited your site so many times that feel like I know you personally. Love this card – but more importantly, I’m lifting prayers up for you and your hubbie! May God’s grace be sufficient!
Awesome card.
Wish I could be there to help you thru this time of trials. Know that you are in my prayers. A friend of mine recently wrote on her FB that a friend had died of natural causes in his dental office. Floored me. Her comment was that after hearing that, her troubles seemed small. I know his health is a tough trial but…….. He is with you! Blessings for your day.
The card is so beautiful. Great is Thy Faithfulness is my favorite hymn. We sang it last Sunday. Know that you continue in our prayers. Peace, my friend. Eli
Awesome card — just like you! Praying for good doctor’s report.
you are amazing! this is just beautiful!
Sandra
Beautiful card. I especially like how you used the die to cut the shape on the card flap instead of using it to create a layered shape. Hope that makes sense!
How gorgeous!!
Thanks for a truly special card!
Praying like crazy for your hubbie…and you!!! Many hugs.
Prayers for your hubby for good results from his tests tomorrow.
May the Lord Bless and Keep you both safe.
Hugs, Candy
Becca,
I know what those waits are like, just waiting on pins and needles for what they will walk through the door and tell you.,and knowing at the same time, what they tell you can change everything from one direction to a completely different one. You both are in my prayers.
I have found that coping with the known rather than the unknown is always easier, so whatever news you get you will cope with it. I hope it is good news.
Your card is beautiful, I love the colours and style of the card.
LOL Eileen
Beautiful is as beautiful does! One beautiful and talented woman created one beautiful card — again! My thoughts and prayers continue to be with you and your husband. Waiting IS probably the toughest thing to endure when we are waiting for answers for those we love. May God grant you peace and a sense of serenity as you wait.
From the layout to the colors to the corners … beautiful! :)
Sometimes simple is better, and this is a true example. I have walked your walk before and believe me, your faith will get you through it. I have called on God so many times and he has never given me a busy signal. I promise he will give you peace.
Take care of yourself through all this.
Gorgeous, lovely paper and so love the window you have made for the sentiment!
So pretty! I love the combinations that you come up with. Really special!
The job of caregiver to a loved one has to be the most challenging and rewarding position on earth. It’s also the most demanding. I’ve been there too and would not have changed one minute.
During this scary time, it is inspiring that you can still create beauty; that you can still enchant us with your heart-warming blogs. I am in awe.
Wishing you whatever it is that you need to continue in your many roles. You are a wonder to all of us. You give so much to so many.
Becca, your card is beautiful. Hugs and prayers to you and your family.
Your card is Beautiful – as always! My thoughts and prayers to and your husband.
Becca – your designs are beautiful as always. Saying a prayer for your husband and family. God is always in season.
Beautiful, as always. I’m praying for peace for you and your husband.
