Hi there.  I’m still traipsing around CHA snapping pictures and I’m amazed how difficult it is to get internet when away from home!!  I have another quick card to share that I made before leaving so I’m tickled that I got some access this morning to get it posted.  All of the new sets this month from Our Daily Bread Designs centered around the home which reminds me that I’ll be back there late tonight :-)  In the interim here’s my card using Bless This Home

I simply added a border around the card and a horizontal pattern using right angle punching.  Simple, no?

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Our Daily Bread Designs – Bless This House
Paper:  The Paper Company, Basic Grey – Capella, Bazzill
Ink:  Versafine Onyx Black
Accessories:  Martha Stewart Layered Arches Around the Corner Punch, May Arts Ribbon, Zva Pearls

Thanks for stopping by.  See ya soon I hope!!

Hi folks, I’m traveling.  It was my intent to post yesterday to give all the blah-blah about CHA but I was internet challenged.  You know how you never really know what you’re gonna be working with.  Ugh, I guess I wasn’t in good range to get the wireless.  Well I do have a card to share that I made before I left.  Using one of the Our Daily Bread Designs sets called  Bless This Home.   I created card using some of my favorite Graphic45 paper.
I’m using some of the new Spellbinders die templates as the base for my medallion – here’s how I stacked it Spellbinders Lacey Circles followed by Spellbinders Fancy Tags then Spellbinders Petite Ovals LG and Spellbinders Petite Ovals SM.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Our Daily Bread Designs – Bless this Home
Paper:  Graphic45, Bazzill
Ink:  Versafine Onyx Black
Accessories:  Spellbinders™ Fancy Tags, Spellbinders™ Petite Ovals LG, Spellbinders™ Petite Ovals SM, Spellbinders™ Lacey Circles, May Arts Ribbon

By the way Spellbinders announced their new Grand Caliber Machine at CHA.  I’ll share more details soon!!

Hello there.  The Magnolia-licious Design Team was issued a challenge this month to create a card with a nautical theme, so here’s what I came up with.  This was the one piece of nautical paper I could come up with.   I guess I never realized that I had such a hole in my stash!   For my card this is #364 Sailor Tilda and she looks so sweet sitting there in her little sailor suit – have you ever had one of those?  She is available from Magnolia-licious and more are due back in stock.  Be sure the check with Diana to find out when :-)  By the way, we are celebrating our Nautical Themed cards with a Blog Hop and if you arrived here by way of Suzanne Dean’s blog then you are in the right place.  If you don’t want to miss a thing, then you’ll want to start at the beginning and the line up for the hop is listed at the Magnolia-licious Highlites Blog.   Hang with me to the end and I’ll pass you along to your next stop on the hop.

For this card I chose to color Tilda with Copic Markers.  My dear friend Kathy Jones sent me some yummy yummy new paper that is perfect for using with copics and it’s marvelous for blending – it’s called X-press It Blending Card and it comes from Australia.  Kathy mentioned the other day that it’s coming to the US through Copic so keep your ears open and watch Kathy’s blog for additional details.  For my card I centered Tilda on a panel and threaded twine through a couple of eyelets before knotting – I love the nautical feel!  I also embellished the corner of my focal panel with Spellbinders Fancy Tags – the end of this particular tag reminds me of anchors.  I tied a bow of over a panel made with Spellbinders Big Scalloped Border Grand and tied on a sentiment is Spellbinders™ Tags Five. I love the background paper – it really looks like burlap.  The sentiment is an American Crafts rub-on.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Magnolia-licious – #364 Sailor Tilda
Paper:  The Paper Studio, Bazzill
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories:  Spellbinders™ Big Scalloped Border Grand, Spellbinders™ Tags Five, Spellbinders™ Fancy Tags, Jumbo Eyelets, twine, ribbon linen thread, button

Alrighty, your next hop is to the fabulously talented Angie Hunt who has some sweet nautical treasures to show!!

Big Hugs!!
