Hi folks!!  Popping in quickly to show you a simple decoration I made for my dining room.  One of the new releases this month with Our Daily Bread Designs is a House Blessing that is available as a single.  I was thrilled to see this single; this one will get much use and thought it would fit perfectly in a frame.

With just a 5.5" x 5.5" area to work with on the inside of the frame I stamped and trimmed the blessing with Spellbinders Classic Squares Large.  I then backed the image with a mitered Classic Lace Border Grand and embellished it with Flourish Accent.  The final touch was to add pearls and secure it in the frame.  Off it goes to the dining room where I have an easel on my buffet which holds the frame nicely.  Gosh, somewhere along the line I feel this should have been harder, but it truly was simple.  I love it when I have an opportunity to use one of my stamps for decor :-)  My hubby walked by the finished project and nodded.  Score!!

Project Recipe:
Stamps:  Our Daily Bread Designs – House Blessing
Paper:  Bazzill
Ink:  Versafine Onyx Black
Accessories:  Spellbinders™ Classic Squares LG, Spellbinders™ Classic Lace Border Grand, Spellbinders™ Flourish Accent, Pearls, Frame from Michaels

Have a blessed day friends!!

I did some baking!!   What fun!!  I think I’m ready for fall, what do you think?  I made pound cakes and pumpkin bread and mmm, mmm, mmm,  the house smelled good, what a bonus!!  :-)  Can’t you tell, I was so excited with this months releases for Our Daily Bread Designs.  All the stamps are great but I did a cartwheel over one sentiment that I wish I’d had in my stash for years!!  Thank you for your hospitality!!  I use that phrase so often as an expression of thanks and honestly it means so much more than just a thank you.  When the The Living Bread set came out, I knew I would be able to use it for gift breads plus have a special thank you stamp for the tags.

There are a number of sentiments I could have used to label the bread from this months releases – you can check them out HERE.   I picked this one that I set up on double layers of Spellbinders Labels Eight plus a simple hang tag from Tags Five.  Perfect!!  Around my loaf of bread I bordered cardstock with Spellbinders Big Scalloped Border Grand.  The bread and the autumn colors have me longing for fall (and fall temperatures).

I made two additional hang tags using Labels Eight and Labels Four and created the loop from which to hang the tag by using the small round element from Spellbinders Lattice Pendants.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Our Daily Bread Designs – The Living Bread
Paper:  Bazzill, K&Co – Tim Coffee – Fall
Ink:  Colorbox Chalk Ink – Burnt Sienna
Accessories:  Spellbinders™ Labels Eight, Spellbinders™ Labels Four, Spellbinders™ Lattice Pendant, Spellbinders™ Big Scalloped Border Grand, Ribbon, Cellophane, Linen Thread

Have a happy weekend friends!!

Hello there, peeking in for just a moment with a quick card.  I’ve been playing around with the new Spellbinders die templates and this one came in the mail today so I set aside what I was working on and whipped this one right up into a card.   I’m using a sentiment from Quietfire Design called Home is the Heart.  Quick and simple, really!!

The main focus is the oval medallion made using Spellbinders™ S4-294 Beaded Ovals.  On top of that template I’ve layered two Spellbinders™ die templates – Classic Ovals LG then Classic Ovals SM.  I created my own notched pennant shape that I placed vertically under the oval.  Thank goodness pearls are "in" – I lavished them around that oval – it seems to me that shape simply begs for pearls :-)

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Quietfire Design – Home is the Heart
Paper:  Graphic 45, Bazzill
Ink:  Colorbox Chalk Ink – Blue Iris
Accessories:  Spellbinders™ S4-294 Beaded Ovals, Spellbinders™ Classic Ovals LG, Spellbinders™ Classic Ovals SM, pearls, ribbon

Thanks so much for stopping by – I really do appreciate it.
