Good Morning!!  By the way I still have stacks of stuff to "donate" (ha-ha) sitting in my studio, so get ready for another Double Play to start tonight.  If you haven’t ever played before, no worries, I’ll explain it all!  I do have a card to share and my oh my, there are lots of pearls on this one.  Kelley at Our Daily Bread Designs is carrying Zva Creative Pearls and she encouraged us to try them.  Well, no marks were left when she twisted my arm lol, because the truth is she didn’t have to twist my arm at all!  Sigh, I love the swirls!!

My card today uses a Wordsworth stamp that I’ve had in my stash for quite some time – it is from The Dickinson Collection.  I love that sentiment.  I also got an opportunity to use this sweet trim I picked up on Saturday at Hobby Lobby.  What peachy lusciousness!  The roses are so petite they’re precious.  I framed them by punching on both sides with an EK Success Arch Scallop Border Punch.

Okay, well I’m off to take hubby in for surgery again.  He’s having that second cataract done today and I’m as nervous as I was with the first.  Please say a little prayer for him.  The surgery I’m sure will go okay, but we have to watch carefully for infection.

Hope you don’t mind me throwing out the double play hint – lots of you were ready last time, so I wanted to be sure to give you some warning :-)  Be sure to check back later on tonight (wink)!

Hey there!!  Thanks so much for the sweet comments on the Bow Collar Tutorial.  It was so fun to put that together and after I had the video done yesterday I went back and actually made the dummy card I was working with into a real card. :-)  So again you get to see a pretty little bow with a collar and indeed it’s the one I tied yesterday.   I dived in my stash for my very favorite Spellbinders Classic Lace Border Grand to create a frame.  I seated the Collar Bow inside the frame and added a sentiment from this month’s Our Daily Bread Designs release.  The set I’m using is called God Loves You.  I simply split the sentiment in two using my stamp positioner so that it was short enough to fit on my Petite Oval.

To finish up I used the Lotus Borderabilites for the smart edge that goes around the card.  Pearls and a final fluff of the bow complete the card.

Card Recipe:
Stamps:  Our Daily Bread Designs – God Loves You
Paper:  White Cardstock, K & Co
Ink:  Colorbox Chalk Ink – Rouge
Accessories:  Spellbinders™ Classic Lace Border Grand, Spellbinders™ Lotus Borderabilties Petite, Spellbinders™ Petite Ovals LG, May Arts Ribbon, Pearls

Big hugs to you!!  See you soon!

Thanks so much for sharing the video of the bow collar. I tried making one today with some very narrow ribbon and it definitely doesn’t have the same affect, plus I was gathering it on both sides, which it looks like you didn’t do. I haven’t even had much time to create and blog myself, and I miss it so much. Drop me an email sometime and we will get caught up.

Happy Monday!!!  Your last comments had me howling.  Y’all are so funny!   Some of you even leave comments on the comments someone else leaves!  Life is sooo good and I’m blessed to have you great online buddies.  So I have a Becca Bit for you today.  Here again, I’m working hard at trying to be brief so that the video only takes several minutes of your time – this video is less than 4 minutes.  I’m sharing a new bow that is as simple as it is charming and it adds that special little touch.  I’ve used the same color on all the parts, but I know you . . . you’ll get creative :-)!!!  Enjoy!!

See you soon!  Be bless my friends!
